KALEBS P.O.V

I was at Layne's house in the midst of the crowd. I was talking to Jane, mostly telling her about what happened in the test after she left.

When we were talking, she said, "I forgot how you and Layne looked when you guys were clean," she said.

I smile, "So did I."

I had beaten everyone back to Layne's to for the party , I'm not sure how though, and I had already taken a shower at my house, and so did Astrapes, I gave her a pair of my moms pants to wear, and one of her shirts. I wore blue jeans, a black shirt, and black Vans.

I had walked up to Layne, "Good to be home, huh?" I say.

"Dude, I've been dreaming of coming home, and taking a hot a shower," Layne said.

"Can say that again"

"Dude, I've been -" I cut him off.

"Not actually."

Layne laughed a little.

Just when I thought the day was going good, I heard loud sirens, and then a voice over a speaker, "Have Layne Crater, and Kaleb Wright come out of the house with their hands up, we don't want to have to try and take them by force."

"What is it now!" I say.

"They're probably here to get you for burning down that building in Hawaii," Jane said.

"But that wasn't us," I say back.

Layne got into our conversation, "Yeah, but they don't know that, and if we tell them, we will probably just end up in a crazy house"

The voice outside spoke again, "You have five seconds before we rush inside and take them by force"

I looked to my parents, they look just as confused as we were, but my dad gave me a dirty look.

"What?! You know it wasn't me," I say.

He put his hand on his chin, "Hmm."

"That's it, we're coming in!" The police yelled.

"Come on Kaleb, before they bust in our front door!" Layne yelled.

"Ugh!"

Me and Layne ran out the front door.

All the cops had their guns pointed at us.

"Wait, wait, don't shoot," Layne said.

The cops still had their guns drawn on us.

Suddenly two of them approached us, they dropped their guns back into the holsters, and began to frisk us, which was awkward.

They handcuffed us and made them super tight, but they didn't take Pyra or Astrapes (our rings) Which was weird, but they probably would when we got to the police station.

I heard everyone back in the house mumbling and talking back and forth to each other underneath their breaths. But then I heard Astrapes, but she wasn't talking out loud. She was talking to me through her mind.

"Why aren't you guys fighting back!" She said in her thoughts.

"Because its the cops, we will just get in more trouble if we do that," I thought back.

Astrapes didn't say, or think anything back.

The cop behind me shoved me forward, "Move along kid," he said, with an unfriendly tone.

Layne got pushed forward too. These cops weren't nice. When we got to the car one of the other cops opened the door,

"Thank you, Watson! Now I would like you to take me to the mall please," I say in a British accent, like the cop is my chauffeur.

I heard Layne laugh, but the cop in front of me wasn't amused.

"Don't make me smack you kid!" He said.

I didn't say anything back, but the cop behind me pushed my head down and shoved me into the car.

Layne was already inside, and he was still laughing a little from what I said.

"Dude, I can't believe you said that, to a cop!" He said.

"Me either," I said back, but to be honest, I didn't really know why I said it. The thought just popped in my mind and the words came out, almost like I was thinking out loud.

In the front there was already two cops waiting to drive us off, I looked out the window to Layne house, and I saw my mom and dad, and Laynes mom and dad.

"Well get you out," my mom mouthed.

I nodded my head. But I think the windows were made for prisoners seeing out of them, but the people on the outside cant see us.

Then all the cops got in their cars, and we drove off. We headed downtown to the police station, and this would be my second time going to jail this year. But that first time, felt like a lifetime ago, so much has happened since then.

But we took a turn off course, and I knew it was off course because all the cop cars in front didn't take that turn, and the turn we took was leading us away from the police station.

Then I felt my cuffs start to loosen, and I pulled out my hands, we were free! I looked to Layne, his hands were free too.

And at first I didn't think much of the cops taking a turn of course, but now something was definitely up.

I looked back to Layne, he nodded, he must of had the same idea as me.

I sparked my hands blue with electricity and Layne's were burning reddish orange with fire.

I flung my hands up ready to shoot a lightning bolt, but was stopped when I heard a familiar voice.

"Yo, yo man don't kill us, we yo friends," it was Omega and Omicron.

They both turned around, they looked like normal people, but then their body's shape shifted back to their Molten twin form.

"You guys again?" Layne asked, "What more do you want with us?"

"Don't be like that man, we're party starters, not party poopers," Omega said.

"Oh really? Because you kind of pooped our party back there!" Layne yelled back,

"The cops did actually come to arrest you, but me Infinity, and cabbage for brains here, saved you guys," Omicron said. "So thank Infinity for erasing so many people's minds for you guys, and saving you."

I brushed off what he said like I didn't even hear him, we would of probably had a better shot at the police station anyways, less annoying.

Then Omega turned back around, "So I know its ya guy's Birthday! Man, what a coincidence that you guys have the same birthday huh? You know me and Omicron have the same Birthday too," he said.

"We know, we aren't stupid," I say back.

"Why you gotta be so harsh to a brotha?"

"Because you guys made us go through those horrible test for so long!"

Omegas face expression changed, "We did that for your own good, we helped you guys get stronger."

"Yeah, thanks,"

The rest of the car ride, to, wherever we were going was quite, and I soon picked up an idea of where we might be going.

And I was right we pulled up to the park, the one me and Layne would always come to.

We parked and got out of the car, amd the sun was now setting and it would soon be dark.

We walked up to the playground, where Infinity, Jane, and Astrapes were waiting for us.

Jane approached layne and gave him a kiss.

"Get a room!" I say.

"Ah, shut up bro, you're just jealous" Layne says back, but I could tell he was joking.

"Psh,!" I say.

Then I walked over to Astrapes, she was sitting on the steps, and I set down next to her.

She smiled at me when I set down.

It was quite for a moment until, Infinity spoke. And he had his hands behind his back, but I dont know why.

"Me and my, brothers, have gotten you a gift," he said, then took his hands out from behind his back, "But you must not open them yet, you are to wait a few days, and when the time is right then you shall open them"

"When will we know that the time is right?" Layne asked.

"You will know"

Infinity handed us the boxes. I was eager to open my but I didn't,I knew that if Infinity said to wait then we would wait.

Then out of no where, and with no warning, Infinity and the Molten twins dissaprared.

"Finally," I said.

"Yeah, but I think we should head home now," Layne said, "Its dark and I don't know about you guys, but I could use a good nights sleep"

"I second that," Jane said.

"Third," Astrapes said.

"Twenty fourth!" I say.

Everyone looked at me weird, "What? I thought I would switch things up a bit," I say.

"Okay then, ill fly home, Kaleb can you drop Jane off at her house and Astrapes at.. Hey, where are you staying Astrapes?" Layne said.

"Her and Glazier are staying at my house!" Jane said.

"Ok then, just drop everyone off at Janes,"

Layne then, gave Jane a small peck on the cheek and yelled "Flame on homies!" And flew off.

I grabbed Astrapes and Janes hands and got into electric traval. It didn't take me long to get to Janes house, and when I did I dropped the girls off at her front porch, and electric travled back to my house,

when I got home my parents were already there.

My parents had said that Infinity told them about the police thing already, which was good, I didn't feel like explaining it to them.

I walked up to my room Rebel following behind me.

My room felt cozy and welcoming. And I was happy that I was sleeping in my bed again. I pushed the box from Infinity under my bed, threw off my shirt, changed into some basketball shorts and climbed in bed, Rebel by my feet. And I quickly fell asleep.
