KALEBS P.O.V

"Did you say etna mountain ?" Astrapes asked a worried look on her face.

I handed astrapes the map so she could see for herself. "Umm.. Yeah why?"

She looked it over for a few minutes then looked back up at me. "Because that's where typhon lives.."

"You mean that big scary sea monster like thing?"

She nodded.

I noticed that she was a little scared.

"Ahh whatever, I'm not scared of him." I say.

"Yeah, well you should be."

I shrugged. I didn't know much about typhon besides that he was basically impossible to beat. I hoped the test wouldn't be that I had to fight him

"So what now then ?" Astrapes asked.

I didn't answer her.

"HELLO!" She screamed in my face.

I stumbled back a step or two. "Yeah sorry.. What was the question again?"

She put her hands on her hips "I said, what now deaf boy?"

"I-i don't know, go to Etna mountain like it tells us to."

"How? We don't have a way there and I know its a long walk?"

I scratched my head and started to pace back and forth. Finally I got an idea, a lightbulb.

"We can steal a car." I say.

Astrapes was turned away from me, but she flipped around when I said it.

"We can what?"

I wasn't sure if she knew what a car was. "You know one of those things with four wheels?"

She looked at me like she was mad at me. "I'm not dumb I know what a car is. I'm not dumb."

"Well I didn't know, I just thought you didn't know about them."

"Its okay. So tell me your plan on stealing a car."

Honestly I didn't have a plan to steal one I just had the idea. "I don't know, to take one," I finally say

Astrapes laughed. "Well I guess we gotta think of one."

"Why don't we just take one when someone goes into a store?" I say.

She stood there for a moment. "Alright that sounds like a good enough plan."

I smile "alright then let's go."

We walked back into the town area but a different part this time so we didn't run into the lady from the clothes store.

"What car?" Astrapes asked.

"One that works."

"Oh, yeah well I kinda knew that."

I laughed, as we kept walking. I spoted a car that seem like it would work fine. It was just pulling into a parking spot.

"That one," I say pointing. "But we better move quick."

"Okay let's go."

We ran towards the car. I looked around several times to make sure no one was around. There was some cars parked out frontof stores but nothing to worry about.

We approuched the man that was driving the car. We was probably in his 30s. He was a little bit shorter them me. He wore brown dress up like pants and a white button up with a lose tie, his hair was brown and he had a big tummy, he kinda looked like he was pregnant.

As we got closer to the man had glanced over at us.

"Hello sir!" I said as I approached him.

He looked me up and down then did the same to Astrapes.

"What do you kids want?" He said with a rude tone.

Well, at least I know I'm gonna have fun driving his car. I think to myself.

"We just wanted to know if-" Astrapes tried to speak but he cut her off.

"I'm not buying anything and I'm not giving out any of my money."

"Alright, I've had about enough of you." I say.

Then the man looked at me confused. He opened his mouth to speak, but I reached out my hand and shocked him.

"Man that felt good." I say.

"Luckily, I wanted to knock him out." Said straps, grunting.

"You can help me drag him into this alliance."

"Good enough for me." Astrapes replied, then helped me drag him into the alley.

I took his tie off and tied up his hands. I went threw his pockets and found the keys, along with a receipt from the store for a box of Twinkies. He should probably lay off of them though, it's starting to show.

"Alright, I got the keys now let's go." I said.

Straps nodded. We walked to his car. It was a blue, and a four door.

I unlocked the driver side door and opened it. I climbed in and unlocked Astrapes door.

"Do you know how to drive?" Astrapes asked.

"Yeah, well, I don't have my license, but I know how true, but. My dad took me sometimes back home."

"Oh, ok looks like I'll be keeping my eyes closed most of this trip.

I laughed, then starthanup the car. It felt good to be behind the wheel of a car, to feel like I was in a normal town with normal people.

I put the car in reverse and backed up. I switched it back to drive, then we began going forward. I was a little rustyfirst, then till good.

"Alright where's the map?" I asked.

"Right here." Astrapes they pull the map out of her back pocket. "Wait before his head there, I want to stop by that tree in the park and get my gnarled, but ally? Why do you need it? You hsongs, buts."

"Because I like it, and it's cool. Why don't you like guns?"

"Because I have powers duh, and I do like guns, I just donated them, not while I have powers anyway."

"Guns are true, but hey, why not have a little fun too."
board she said was true. But you saw no point to Man, this urging to have powers that's bbreathethen them.

I pulled up to the park where we had left our stuff in the tree. I jumped out of the car and walked towards the tree. I climbed ito the top and looked into the cubby hole, where I left our old stuff.

I pulled our clothes out first then Atrapes guns, it was just how I he'd left it. I put our clothes back in the jumped out of the tree.

I walked up to the car and saw Astrapes flipping the radio stations.

The music she had on was old but new to her. I didn't know the songs but I didn't plan on knowing them either.

"Having fun there?" I say getting back into the car, and handing her the guns.

She noded while getting into the music, but took her gusn at the same time. I grabbed the map from the dash bored, looked it over then back at the road.

"Man this is gonna be a long drive" I breath out,

"What's that!?" Astrapes screams over the music.

"Nothing!"

I started up the car again and drove off.
