May's POV

I sit at the kitchen table, munching on a sandwich that Anna's mum made for me. I sigh, thinking about what happened earlier with the power tester. I remember the symbol that I wrote down, trying to guess what it could mean.

I have seen that symbol somewhere before though. Perhaps in my dreams with L? Not sure. But I want to find out soon. I continue to eat, playing with my iPod. I read the time and it says 2:07. Wasn't that near the time I fainted yesterday?

Suddenly, Anna's mum comes rushing in, looking at her watch on her wrist than at me. "What time did you faint yesterday May?" She asks me.

"Somewhere around.......now," I tell her nervously. Her face suddenly changes emotion and she looks panicked. She reaches for my hand, grabs it and takes me away from my lovely sandwich. I guess I'll have to eat that later then.

She brings me out of the kitchen and then into the living room. I sit down on the sofa, confused by the situation. She crouches down to my level.

"May. You are going to faint any minute now. I want to warn you: It's going to be worse than last time. And L might and probably will, enter your dream." She says in a serious tone.

My breathing starts to rush as she says L's name and I feel the tears spring in my eyes. This is happening too fast for me to handle. "W-What if I don't wake up?! What do I do?! He's going to hurt me again!" I scream out and Anna's mum takes a deep breath.

"You will wake up. Everyone does. I can't stop L from hurting you but I can make it short and try and wake you up quick enough that he can't hurt you." She says quickly like I have no time left. The tears start to roll down my eyes and I look at my phone for the time. 2:09. It then changes to 9:10 and it happens.

Suddenly, pain strikes me and I scream. It quickly covers my whole body and I feel restricted in my movement. Anna's mum holds me while I twist and turn, punching thin air. The tears roll down my eyes.

"Help me!" I cry out but then I loose control of my mouth and start to say words. "I will be your doom. I will be your destroyer. Kill me now before I get out of hand."

"May you're almost there." Anna's mum tells me, going pale when I start to talk again.

"L will take over the world. With my help. Please kill me. Kill me. Now." I whisper the last part and then darkness covers my eyesight and I faint.

May's Dreammmmmm ( WOWOWOWOWOW )

I flutter my eyes open slowly, seeing darkness around me. Oh no. Not again. L is here, isn't he?

I try to move my hands and then realise that I'm tied to a chair. Ropes go around my wrists, ankles, and stomach. Then.....I notice that I have barely any clothes on. I'm almost wearing a bikini that just covers my private parts. This hasn't happened before.

"Hello, May." L's voice comes into my ear and my breathing hitches. I struggle again, the ropes digging into my skin, drawing blood. I cry out in pain.

"Oh, my dearest May. So lovely to see you again. You seem to love that I'm here." His voice drips with sarcasm and then he comes into view. His black, dark eyes pierce into me. He wears only shorts, like swimming shorts. Similar to what I'm wearing.

"Get away from me!" I bark at him but he just continues to walk closer to me. He pulls out a knife from behind his back and I freeze with fear.

"Sometimes, you've got to have a little fun. Right?" He comes so close to me that he places his hands in my bare thighs. His thumbs move in a circular motion, making me squirm away from him.

When he realises this he squeezes them and then brings out the knife again. "That fun...." he slashes the knife across one of my thighs and I scream. "Sometimes includes hurting people." He smiles when I cry.

"P-Please get away. S-stop." I stutter but he leans in towards me and uses one of his fingers to wipe away my tears.

"Oh May. I'm only getting started." As he says this, he punches me in the stomach and I double over. I can't breathe. He grabs my chin and then raises it to his face. I become extremely close to him. He leans in to whisper in my ear.

"You like your sister and brother don't you?" He asks and I feel his hot breath on my neck. Then what happens next makes me scream. He sucks down on my flesh and then kisses me. I use my head as a weapon and knock his head away.

"G-get off me!" I cry out, using my strength to speak. He doesn't look impressed.

"If you don't want that, I guess I'll just have to use violence. Shall we?" He asks me like I have a choice and then he scrapes the knife across one of my wrists. By now I already have a load of blood over me from when he slashed my thigh.

Then, he goes to my face and cuts my cheek open. After this, I'll need to be taken to the hospital. Poor Anna's mum won't know what's coming.

Then suddenly, I start to see blackness in my eyesight. "Goodbye May. Until we meet again." He tells me and then I can't see anything.

End of May's Dreammmmmm

I wake up, screaming and Anna's mum sighs in relief. She has a phone up to her ear and she almost looks like she's going to faint.

Then I realise, the cuts would still be there after my dream. I look down and see that Anna's mum has stripped me of my clothing so that my wounds are on show. Blood spills out everywhere. Although I can't feel the pain.

Maybe it's just the shock? Of nearly getting raped perhaps? Or maybe I'm dying and this is a part of a dream. Yea. I'm dying slowly because of blood loss. I turn to Anna's mum who is talking to someone on the phone.

"Ambulance, please! A young girl has gotten stabbed numerous times and I need you to get here quickly. Please!" She cries as she talks and I still don't feel the pain. Everything is going in slow motion.

I reach my hand to my cheek and feel the massive cut. I press down on it and that's when I feel it. Not the pain. A tingle........coming from my fingers. I allow my fingers to run up and down the cut.

Anna's mum drops the phone beside me as she watches me. She looks speechless. Eventually, I feel no cut on my cheek and I smile to myself. "May. You did it. You used your powers!" She says to me, turning off her phone.

Suddenly, the pain from the other two cuts come into my system and I start to cry. "The ambulance is coming. But I need you to stay awake May!" She tells me as I feel my eyes become droopier.

I can't hear anything. Nor can I move. I see Anna's mum rush up and men run in towards me. I get picked up and put on a moving bed.

I feel cold air rush against me as I'm taken outside. I see my neighbors looking out their windows at me and I feel like an object to be looked at.

"We'll look after you May. Don't worry." The man beside me tells me. They take me into the ambulance, shuts the door and we start to move. They put something on my mouth and my eyes become droopier.

"I never got my sandwich," I whisper and then slip into a deep sleep.

Grace's POV

I run into the hospital, my breathing rushed. Mat follows behind me and we rush towards the front desk.

"Where May!?" I cry. The woman behind the desk looks scared as she searches on the computer.

"May Edwards? Floor 2, Room 7." She tells us and I start to run. I hear Mat say thank you to the lady and then rushes after me.

I decide to take the stairs. The rate I'm going at the moment, I'll probably get there before the lift.

I get to the second floor, the children level. I run down a hall and get to Room 7 and swing the door open. I gasp at the sight of May.

She lies on a bed, asleep with monitors around her. Her hair sticks to her face and she has a pale skin, making her look like a ghost. The covers are not on her, reveling the two gashes on her thigh and wrists. I walk slowly over to her.

"May? Please wake up?" I beg and like I ask, she opens her eyes and turns towards me. She smiles weakly.

"That's what you say to Peter." She croaks and I sob hugging her frail body. She cries into my shoulder. When I come away from her she sits up in bed but winces from the pain.

"Grace? I've found out May's powers. It's saved her life." Anna's mum suddenly says, I not having noticed her as I walked in.

"What? What is it?" I ask her and then we all look at May. She smiles weakly at me.

"It's healing." She says and I break out into a smile. I hear Mat behind me clap and I start to clap as well.

"Congratulations May. Good thing I know just the person who can help." I say getting up from my crouched position beside her bed.

I wink at Mat who understands who I'm going to call ( IF ANY OF YOU COMMENT GHOSTBUSTERS ).

"Come back soon," May calls out and I nod, leaving the room, followed by Mat.

We walk out into the corridor and I get my phone out my pocket. I click on a familiar contact and then start a call. I put it on speaker so that Mat can hear as well.

"Hey, Grace! What's up?" The voice says. I smile.

"Hey, Flora. We need your help."

Hello, my baby little fireballs!

This chapter.......wow. I did not expect to write that much but I think this is my favorite chapter so far. I didn't know if I should include May getting harassed or not by L but I think it was showing how messed up L was by making him nearly rape May.

Not only that, they're calling Flora!! I love writing her! She's such a spirited character so getting to write her again will be lovely! Are you excited to see her come back?

In two weeks, I have a week of school so I am patiently waiting for that to arrive. When I say patiently I mean, counting the hours every day. It's so hard. Not only that, I have a geography test this Tuesday......which I need to revise for.

So I got to go and do that!
