Grace's POV

May was thankfully released from Hospital that very same day. They didn't think that her cuts were that bad and due to May's apparent healing powers ( which I am yet to see ), the cuts seem to be healing quickly.

We made a story for how May got them. Apparently, May fell in the kitchen onto the floor while holding a large knife that cut her thigh and arm. Believable right?

Everyone has been helping May to cover up her cuts from our parents. May now understands why we can't tell them and she knows why I had to keep mine a secret from her for so long. I've been treating her wounds and reading up on how to look after them. Along with information about her powers.

"Grace!! Can you come help meeeee!" May screams from upstairs. My heart begins to race and I rush up to her. I've been on the edge since she got hurt by L. I've been put in charge of keeping May safe. I don't know what I would do if she got hurt like Peter did.

"What's wrong?!" I manage to say, out of breath from running up the stairs and then into her room. She sits in the middle of her room, braiding her new white strip of hair. That has been the hardest thing to cover up from our parents. Although she doesn't like it, I've been forcing May to wear a cap over her hair every time we are with our parents.

"I just wanted you to get me a drink......" May says calmly and I almost fall on the floor. I did that once to Peter when I first got my powers ( Chapter 10: Breath ) and he had the same reaction that I just had.

"May! Don't do that to me! You've been worrying me for the past few days and you could be seriously hurt! You're like the Fox who cried wolf!" I feel like Peter is over my shoulder, nodding his head slowly like he approves of what I just said. I'm becoming more like him every day.

"I just wanted to see you. I felt lonely in this room by myself....." She trails off and I can sense that she still feels scared about L following her. I sit myself down beside her and run my fingers through her soft hair.

"I wanted to talk to you about something. I have a friend who can help you with your powers and she can help you control them." I tell her and she suddenly turns to face me.

"So what I have.......this person will help me not let it overcome me?" May asks.

"Something like that. You haven't got destructive powers so don't need to control them as much as I needed to." I blurt out then realise I shouldn't have said that as May doesn't know what my powers are.

"What are your powers Grace? I know you have powers." She says on cue and I take a deep breath.

"I have fire powers. I've had them for 4 years. This person helped me control my powers so I wouldn't hurt anyone. I hurt so many people before she taught me how to control them.......including Peter." I remember blaming myself for what happened to Peter and I still do.

"But you shouldn't be afraid of your powers. All of my friends have powers. Anna has electric, Mat has Light and Emily has Ice Powers. But getting back to what I asked, do you want to have training from this person? She's helped me and Anna. And you have met her before."

May thinks for a while, twirling her white strand with her fingers. I understand how scared she would be at the moment. Scared of herself. Scared of what she could turn into. Although I got my powers when I was older than her I can relate.

"Ok. I will go to this training." She says but I can hear the nervousness in her voice. I hug her tightly and then get up from my position. "Will you be coming with me?"

"Of course! I wouldn't leave you with Flora. That's her name by the way. Oh, and she might make some remarks about Peter every once in a while because they did not get on well together!"  I laugh and May smiles slightly. This is going to be interesting

I cling onto May's hand as we walk through the woods. She huddles closer to me as we get deeper and deeper.

We decided to bring the gang with us so that May wouldn't be as scared. "We'll look after you May. Don't worry!" Anna says as she takes her other hand. Matt and Emily walk in front of us, Mat trying to calm Emily down as it also her first time entering these woods.

"Emily! Calm down! There won't be any beasts in these woods! It's not like the woods near Decrins." Matt puts an arm around his sister. I check my watch and it reads 2:00. Flora said that she would meet us at this time in the usual woods.

"Hey, Grace! Do you remember the time you ran away to these woods?" Anna says and I shoot her a glare, trying to not give May any ideas.

"Yes, Anna. Almost feels like yesterday."

"Except it was 4 years ago and you were so cute!" A voice rings out through the forest and I sigh. May clings closer to me and I squeeze her hand to show that she's alright. "Awe! She's so grown up!"

"Flora you're scaring her! Come out!" Mat shouts and Flora appears from the sky and flies down in front of us.

She hasn't changed a bit in the past few years. Her hair is still the vibrant colours of Red, White a Blue, indicating the powers that she represents which are Fire, Electric, and Healing. Her Pink eyes are as bright as ever and look like they're about to burst with excitement. Her dress, however, has changed. She wears a tutu dress that has a white top half and then the frilly bit has the colours White, Blue and Red on it.

"I thought you were rebelling Flora! Going against the rules of wearing what you train!" I say to her.

"I've got to set a good example for Amelia haven't I? ( Flora's younger sister, appears at the end of the first book. )" She says and then her attention turns to May. "Hello, May. You probably don't remember me."

"You're a fairy?"

"Yep. Living and breathing! I'm here to help you control your powers! When I first met you, I didn't think you were going to get powers because Grace got hers through an evil lady. But powers do run through your family." Flora says.

"I think I remember you. Amelia looked after me while I was in the fairy world......right?" We all looked shocked at May. "Am I not supposed to remember that?" She asks and we all shake our heads in replies.

"Guess we should get started with the training then! Shall we?"

Hello my baby little fireballs!

I am finally on half term!!! Yay! During the half term, I will not be updating more regularly because I like my routine. But, what I will be doing is I will be planning Hedgila! I've been trying to build up her story line and what the book will be about.

I'm sorry this isn't a great chapter but the next one will be......that's if I can actually fit everything that I am planning into one chapter. *le sigh*
