6 YEARS LATER...

 It had been 6 years since the attack of the power takers who still have not gotten into the beautiful underground kingdom. 

Nightmaker, a Nightwing who is not loyal to the power takers, roamed the city in search of some food.  

she stopped and turned to see a skywing leaping at her. she yelped and quickly moved out of the way, the claws of the dragon sinking into her tail. "yowch! RUBY!" Nightmaker cried pulling her tail closer to herself.

it took a second for the skywing to calm down then gave her an apologetic face "my moons, sorry night. I swear I do that to every Nightwing I see " she said with an embarrassed chuckle rubbing her neck. 

" it's fine" night said as she walked over to a small stream nearby cleaning the blood away. "I'm guessing you're on patrol," she said glancing at ruby as she sat down next to her nodding. "there haven't been any power takers seen in a few days...starting to get worried" she mumbled looking around like she was ready for someone to jump out and attack them.

"worried? you should be glad! and it's not like they can get inside, don't you remember the enchantment?" night asked Ruby nodding "still it worries me" she sighed as a rainwing and hybrid flew down to them 

"hey girls," the rainwing said smiling at them, Nightmaker returning the smile "hey Emerald, hey Jade " ruby said waving at them. "how've  you both been" Emerald asked

"fine, and you" night asked as two tribrids ran past them laughing. one had the body of a rainwing but his scales were white and dark blue like a icewings and nightwings. the other had pink, blue, and purple the light reflecting off her white scales making her sparkle, her yellow eyes shining bright as she chased after the other tribrid.

jade smiled at them. " I'm fine, so are Celestia and specter", she replied chuckling as emerald ran after them "roar!!!" she yelled playfully, the dragonets laughed running while em chased them. ruby chuckled "well I should get back to work, I'll see you all later," she said spreading her wings and taking to the sky eventually disappeared through some trees.

"I should be heading back to my hut and help out pine with some things," Jade said giving Night a hug then flying off her dragonets quickly flying after her with Emerald 

Nightmaker looked around not having anything to do so she shot up into the sky deciding to just fly around for a bit. she soon saw the tunnel that led to the surface, no one except well-trained scouts dared to go up there since everyone knew what lurked above. nightmaker had grown up in the underground kingdom almost her whole life she never wanted to leave until now when she heard the mind of someone outside.

 "power takers!" she thought panicked. she didn't know if any scouts were even out there but weren't gonna risk a maybe. " I need to be sure" she thought flying down to the tunnel. when landing she grabbed a spear on the wall taking a deep breath.

the ground shook and slowly opened up for her the bright sunlight shinging in her eyes. she squinted cautiously climbing out. 

the ground closed as she got out to smoke washing over like water. she coughed waving some of it away looking to where the smoke was coming from.

she then stopped and watched in horror as the rainwing village, her home, burned away. she felt like she could barely breathe,  not aware of the dragon creeping towards her. she turned around seeing a Nightwing jump at her with a knife.

 she quickly opened her wings shooting up into the sky throwing the spear at them but missing. the dragon then jumped up grabbing onto her tail with his teeth biting down hard, smiling as he heard her scream.

 he then yanked her down pinning her to the ground with a grin. "Nightmaker" he chuckled making a shiver run down nights spin

"Nightseer...." she whispered
