"OF COURSE YOU'RE still the team captain," Hope spoke confidently to her brother as she rubbed his shoulder. "You got your grades up just like Coach told you to, right?" She questioned, narrowing her eyes at him as they approached the lacrosse field.

Scott nodded, pouting. "Yeah, but he never told me I was back on the team. He just told me to show up at tryouts today."

"We got bigger things to deal with anyway," Stiles reminded them, giving them a look. "Did either of you tell Argent yet?"

Hope nodded, biting down on her lip. "I texted him, telling him that something urgent has happened, and that we need him here." She crossed my arms.

"You texted him?" Stiles asked the love of his life incredulously and she nodded, giving him a look.

"I don't have the money to call France, Stiles," She simply told him. "I don't get paid to save people."

"You should," he said before flailing out his arms. "And, you think you got money problems? Try paying for an MRI and a visit to Eichen House."

Hope frowned as she looked at Stiles' fallen face. "If I could, I would help." An idea then occured to her. "Wait. You know what, I think I might have someone that might help." She smiled at her brother and best friend. "Crowley. He has always favored me over Sam and Dean."

"You don't have to," Stiles told her, grabbing ahold of her hand, giving it a squeeze. "But I appreciate it." He dropped her hand and faced the lacrosse field. "Now, what the hell are we even doing here anyway? We got like a 142 million problems and worrying about our status on the lacrosse team is not one of them."

Scott looked dazed as he looked out at the field. "It is now." He nodded towards the field.

Stiles and Hope turned around to stare at a freshman who was blocking all the balls that were being thrown at the goal.

Hope's mouth hung open as the boy took off his helmet, allowing her to see his blonde hair and blue eyes. "Damn," She whispered in shock. The boy was amazing.

"Who the hell is that?" Stiles spat out, placing his hand in front of Hope's eyes. She chuckled and grabbed his hand, lowering it. She looked to him as he narrowed his eyes. "Okay, maybe we should just practice a little bit." He quickly placed a chaste kiss on her cheek before running off.

Hope froze on the spot, her cheeks heating up as she turned to Scott who sent her a smirk before running off, too.

Hope shook my head, her blonde hair swaying side to side before she scurried off to class.

"HEY, LIAM," Stiles greeted as they approached Liam in the boys locker room. "You want to explain what that was out there?"

Liam looked confused. "What do you mean?"

Stiles gestured widely with his left hand. "That little display. Your little circus act."

"What circus act?"

Hope shook her head and pushed Stiles back, facing Liam. "Sorry about him, he's an idiot. A cute one, but an idiot," She stated, smiling. "I'm Hope, and this is Stiles and Scott," She introduced them, but he didn't seem to care. "Anyway... Stiles was just wondering how you caught every single ball that was thrown at you."

He gave her an incredulous look. "I was in goal."

She sighed. "That's not what I meant," The blonde told him. "You're a freshman, right?" He nodded. "But you weren't here last semester."

"I transferred from Devenford Prep," He answered, looking between the three of them with something hidden in his blue eyes.

She tilted my head, listening in on his heartbeat before shaking herhead. Scott was the one who spoke up, though. "No, you got kicked out, didn't you?" Scott asked him.

Liam grew frustrated and angry. "All right. Look! Kicked out or transferred, what do you guys care? I came here to play lacrosse." He breathed in. "The team could use a few good players, right?"

Stiles quickly shook his head. "No. No, we don't need any more good players."

Scott looked sheepish. "Actually, we could sort of use a couple."

Stiles' eye twitched as he looked from Scott to Liam. "Okay, how'd you get this good? Have you always been this good? Or did it suddenly happen just once over night. Have you ever been out in the middle of the woods during the night of a full--"

Reacting quickly, Hope stomped on Stiles' feet, making him yelp loudly. She turned her head and glared at him.

Liam hummed, looking at then as if they are crazy. "Look, I learned from my stepfather, all right? He made team captain when he was a sophomore. Like you. And yeah..." he grabbed his stuff and got up in Stiles' face which made Hope clench her fists. "I guess I'm just that good." He then walked away.

Scott looked to his sister and best friend. "He wasn't lying that time."

"A MURDER?" Hope questioned aloud as Scott, Stiles, Kira, and her walked through the hallway to their lockers.

"A family murdering axe murderer," Stiles said as he wrapped his arm around her shoulder.

"I already heard about it," Scott spoke up which made his sister turn to him swiftly.

"Wait. What? You did? Why didn't you tell me?" She asked her brother in disblief.

"Mom called me," He told her. "She knew we'd see it on the news." He sent her a small smile. "You literally just got back home a week ago. She didn't want you worrying about this kind of thing, and I agreed with her."

"This is my job, Scott," The tribrid snapped at him. "I have been doing this kind of thing since I was ten. Ten! I don't need you and mom telling me what I can or cannot do." She took in a deep breath, controlling her inner rage. "I will find out who this ax murderer is and I will take him or her down. They will not get away with murdering innocent people." She swiftly turned and stormed away from them.

Seconds later, Stiles caught up to her. "I'm with you on this," He told her and she smiled at him. "Partners in crime?"

Hope nodded, grinning at him. "Partners in crime," She confirmed.

"OH, MY GOD!" Hope laughed loudly, bending over as she saw Stiles fall to the ground, breathless. She laughed even harder when Scott had to literally pick him up and hold him so that he wouldn't fall over. "I can't--I can't breathe!" She exclaimed loudly, almost falling off of the bleachers from laughing so hard.

"What's wrong with you?"

The blonde sobered up as she turned to Malia and Kira. Her cheeks were hurting from smiling and laughing so much in the past five minutes.

Kira looked at Malia with wide eyes. "Me? Nothing," She denied, shaking her head, her dark brown hair swishing side to side.

"You reek of anxiety," Malia stated bluntly. "And it's distracting."

Hope leaned over and looked at Kira in concern. "What's going on?"

Kira took in a breath before ranting. "Scott and I sort of had this thing happen. But it wasn't much of a thing. And I'm kinda glad that it wasn't much of a thing because I'm not sure if I like him or if I just think he's cute. Is that bad? Am I a terrible person?"

Hope shook her head and placed her hand on Kira's knee. "You're not a terrible person," She denied. "You just need to figure out what you want and the best way to do that is explore." The blonde sent her a small smile and went back to watching Stiles fail at Lacrosse.

He had trouble picking up a ball with his lacrosse stick which made all the boys on the team laugh at him. Hope narrowed her eyes at the boys and clenched her fists, digging her nails into her palms.

She felt her face heat up as Stiles licked his lips before throwing his ball towards the net. He had missed the net by about two feet, making all the boys laugh at him again.

The tribrid clenched her jaw as one of the boys stepped up to throw a ball at the net. As he went to throw it, she narrowed her eyes at the ball and pushed it to the side, making it go flying far away from the net.

She smirked as Stiles and Scott looked over at her. She saw Scott move his lips and say something along the lines as, "stop using magic." She sighed and leaned back, releasing her fists, allowing her to see the crescent moon marks that was left behind from her fingernails. She frowned as they healed quickly. She traced the spot they were in with her finger.

Hope was soon consumed by her thoughts. Araya had said that she was part vampire, a different kind of vampire than she was used to. She tilted her head as an image of a crescent moon flashed through her mind. Something about the shape was making her feel a little weird, as if she had seen that mark somewhere.

She closed her eyes as she tried to imagine her family. I mean, they had to of been like her, right? They must've been a... tribrid. But, then again, She's have never heard of such a thing. She had never even heard of a hybrid, a mix of two things.

Hope clenched her jaw and closed her fists again, shaking her head. Why is she even thinking of them? Why does she care? They had abandoned her. Left her on a porch of someone they didn't know. They had left her without knowing anything about them.

They had given Hope a necklace and a note with only her name on it and the fact that they were sorry, and that they hope that her new family will take care of her. I mean, who does that? They could've at least given her a picture of them or given her, her parents names. Or anything, really. She just wants... something.

She opened her eyes just in time to see Liam get knocked over Scott, landing on his ankle, a popping noise being emitted.

Hope gasped loudly and ran towards them, her eyes widening upon seeing how bad it was.

HOPE WALKED INTO Liam's room with a sympathetic smile, holding out a stuffed wolf. "Hi."

He furrowed his eyebrows. "Hi?"

"I just wanted to apologize for what my brother and best friend did," Hope told him, placing the wolf on the desk by the bed. "I also wanted to fully introduce myself without my idiots by my side." She tilted her head as his lips tugged upwards slightly. "I'm Hope McCall and I'm adopted." She held out her hand to him which he slowly grasped with his own. "I know that it's none of my business, but I couldn't help but notice that your father isn't actually your father."

"You're right, it is not any of your business," he told her, sitting up straighter.

"I know," She said. "I just wanted you to know that we relate to eachother by that small fact. Even though he's not your real father, he is your father. And, my mother might not be my real one, but she is still my mom."

They both froze as screaming was heard from the floor above them. Her eyes widened as she recognized the scream to be her mother's. She turned around and ran out of the room, Liam shouting after her.

As Hope skidded around the corner, she slid to a stop when she was grabbed by a boy with blood stains on his mouth and down his white hospital shirt.

She screamed loudly before he threw her across the room, her head hitting the wall harshly.

The last thing that Hope saw was the blood stained boy grab Liam.
