Once upon a time...there were 2 brothers, a red plumber and a green plumber. The 2 brothers always had adventured together alongside one another a number of times, mainly just to save the Princess, as well as the world. But the brothers were loyal to one another, and being as so to the very end. And all in all, both of the brothers enjoyed being together, and when the Green Plumber was overshadowed by his older brother. But even so, his loyalty and move towards him is far greater than his desire for the fame and glory that his brother has.

However, those days of being together, had suddenly took the darkest and worst turn to ever happen yet. During the time when the brothers were asleep, or at least one of them..the Red Plumber has been taken over by a legion of Boos. And the Green Plumber, he was awake to witness it, although he got confused at first. But he no longer became as such when his brother attacked, and the Green Brother did all that he could to stop him, even absorbing an object, the Power Star, in order to increase his power to match him. But he was defeated as a result. The Boos used the Red Plumber as a vessel in order to gather more Power Stars, all so that they can fulfill their ultimate ambition, merge them all into a single fused Power Star, control the fate of the universe in order to destroy creation. And the Green Plumber, even with the help of the Princess, did all that he could, but in the end...he and the Princess felt. But the Red Plumber, in just one single glance at what he is seeing before his eyes when the boos briefly lets him see what they had done while using him, foiled their plans by sacrificing himself, ending the reign of the Boos, much to their rage at being bested by the Plumber once again. But it mattered little, as all of them still died at the end.

But...what happens if the story changed, so all 3 could live? What happens...if the Green Plumber had been the one to emerge victorious...and save all?

In the battleships...

Flying above on the battleships, the Green Plumber, whose name is Luigi is shown to be standing in front of the wall of said ship, alongside the Princess, Peach, as they flied to the location of the other Power Star, in order to get it so that they can keep it out of Mario's hands, or rather...the boos' hands. He puts a hand onto his face, as he sighed and shook his head, as Princess Peach spoke out to him.

"How could Mario do such a thing?"

Princess Peach could not believe what she had what messed. Mario is a hero, through and through, and having saved the lives of the mushroom kingdom and herself doubtlessly. So the fact that he began to kill out of nowhere...it is just so unreal. But Luigi...he has an idea why, as he turns to look at Peach.

"He must have been possessed...by boos. Last night, while Mario was sleeping, they must have come and attacked, possessing his entire body, then sending him in a mission to take the Power Stars. I was watching. I tried to stop him, but I was holding back...because he's my brother. And now I will imagine that he is traveling towards, Mushroom City."

Luigi then sighed and sat onto the floor, and he almost looks like he wants to beat himself up for the fact that he did not stop him, as he spoke out.

"I cannot believe that...this happened. And all because I was not there to stop him. I should have acted sooner when the Boos attacked and possessed my bro, and I should not have held back."

Princess Peach goes to Luigi and puts a hand into his shoulder, and she spoke out to him.

"Do not blame yourself, Luigi. I would have done the same if I was in your place. You cared much for your brother just as much as care much for him."

Luigi shook his head, as he spoke out.

"Even so...I should have not been scared to do anything about it."

Luigi closed his eyes, as he spoke out to Princess Peach.

"Princess...do you...do you think I have what it takes to stop him?"

Princess Peach looks at Luigi and intertwined her hands onto each other, as she spoke out.

"Luigi...I have faith that you can free Mario from all of this. And I...I will have the Power Star we gained to aid you, in case you need another amplifier. So please...do not give up on this."

Luigi looks at the ground and clenched his fist, as he spoke out.

"I do not plan on that."

He then makes a rather uncomfortable expression on his face, as he spoke out.

"I just hope that I have what it takes to fight against my bro."

Luigi looks and held onto his chest, as he feels the Power Star inside of himself pulse a bit, as if to give him an increase in determination, giving him a push in order to keep on going. Luigi clenched his fist, as he took a deep breath, as he calm his nerve, so that he can fight his brother. As he did, he then hears a door open and and sees a toad, as he spoke out.

"Master Luigi, Princess, we have all of the supplies ready."

Luigi nodded, as Princess Peach spoke out.

"That is good."

Luigi then spoke out.

"We need to prepare as fast as possible. Every second of stalling gives Mario a chance to get another Power Star. Set a course to Mushroom City."

The Toad nodded his head and rushes outside, as Princess Peach spoke out.

"Luigi, please be careful, will you?"

Luigi looks and nodded his head, as he spoke out.

"I will, Princess, and this time, I am ready for round 2. I will not hold back like before."

Luigi turns around and runs out as fast as he can, and this time, he is going out to fight against his brother. He will free him from this, no matter what it will take.

Mushroom City...

A little while later, Luigi is moving forward, as an army of toads are around him. He can tell that Mario is going to move towards mushroom city, in order to gain the Power Star from it. But Luigi...even he has no idea where it is, and neither does Peach. Which is why the roads are currently looking for it, as well as make sure to stall Mario as much as they can, so Luigi himself can find it. But right now...now they need to prepare and patrol a bit to see if Mario is around.

And unfortunately...Mario is here, having arrived far earlier than expected.

More Boos appeared in entering his body, strengthening it on their own, as Luigi looks at him, this time holding nothing back like before. He made a mistake at limiting his strength against him. This time...he will not do so again. He then points his finger and command the Toads.

"Stop him!"

The toads did as they are told as they ran to attack Mario. But Mario attacked fast and punched a toad so hard, killing him upon impact with a castle wall, as Mario began to do the same with the other toads, his mere punches killing then instantly, as he kicked a toad at Luigi, who ducked, and he himself then began to attack Mario, as he jumps forward and kicks Mario in the face, before jumping back, and Mario runs to Luigi, who punches him hard with a 3 time success, before he uppercuts him into the air. But Mario does not stay down, as he rushes at Luigi and punches him hard in a 4 time succession, sending him backwards. He then points at Mario to command the toads, who then goes in to attack Mario, but the results were the same, he punches the toads hard enough to kill him, with Luigi having to punch the corpse of the toad to hit Mario when it bounced to him. This knocked Mario off of his feet, and he goes to punch Luigi, who blocks it and unleashed a fast barrage of punches in quick succession, but Mario retaliates and punches Luigi again, but this time adding kicks into it, as Mario kicked Luigi backwards, and Mario runs to punch a toad enough to kill him, before turning around to make a barrage of strike at Luigi, only for Luigi to punch Mario repeatedly and uppercuts him into a block, and made a super mushroom appear out of it. But Mario kicks Luigi and runs elsewhere, as he walk jumps into both the castle wall and the block, and enters one of the castles. Luigi, realizing what he has to do, needs to get to the Power Star first. He then goes inside the hallway of another castle and wall jumps up to the upper floor, before landing onto the ground and runs as fast as he can, and then jumps onto the pillar so he can jump onto another castle, but he then sees Mario burst and and he ducked a bit, as Mario jumps onto a platform to be lowered down. And Luigi, he jumps onto the castle wall and into a block, before jumping onto the top of the castle. He then jumps onto another part of the castle and runs across a bridge, and after he went to the other side, jumps onto another part of the castle, and slid down to the bottom, as he goes onto a checkerboard-like floor, and runs onto the other side of the castle, looking around for the Power Star. As he did, he looks and see a golden light in the distance, floating in the air. He realizes that this is the Power Star. He has to get to it as fast as he can.

Thinking fast, Luigi began to jump from building to building as fast as he can, and does all that he could to make it in time. He cannot risk stopping any time soon. Countless lives depend on Luigi's success. He has to move...no matter what it takes. He cannot bear let the Boos use it.

It took a couple of minutes to get here, but Luigi is now onto another castle, and he looks up to see it.

Luigi looks and there, he sees the Power Star up ahead. He is almost there, as he continues to run as fast as he can towards it. He needs to keep off the hands of the boos, before they could even have a chance to take it. Unfortunately...Luigi did not make it on time, because as soon as he got close..Mario jumped out of nowhere and landed in front of him. Luigi stopped, as he looks to see what had once been his brother...his eyes gleamed red at the sight of Luigi, as Luigi clenched his fist.

Luigi and Mario looked at each other, dead in the eyes, as both brothers narrowed them. Luigi admits that...he can never surpass his brother. His brother had done far more than Luigi could, and with the Boos controlling him, Luigi...he knows that he will likely lose the battle, if they were to succeed. But even so...he has to try. He need to, in order to save what remains of all that still live.

They both got into a stance, as one of them waits for the other to attack, waiting for the one to try and make their first move. And then...there was no need to wait, because they both made the first move simultaneously. The both of them began to use their fists at one another, as they punched one another as fast as they can, with Mario giving Luigi some heavy hits onto him. But Luigi ducked and then uppercuts Mario, as he then sends him into the air, before Mario landed down onto the ground, on his knee, but Luigi, not wanting to give Mario a chance, runs fast towards him and kicked him hard in the face, before launching him up a bit, before he himself jumped and kicked him down, and this caused him to slam down onto the ground, before Luigi punched Mario from behind, causing him to stumble forward. Luigi then goes to attack Mario, but Mario then slams his hand into Luigi's neck, which is extremely painful and made him stumble back, as Mario then punched Luigi onto his back, making him bent forward in pain, and then he swipes his legs beneath Luigi, making him lose his balance, and Mario began to unleash a barrage of punches and kicks at him, before he then kicks him hard in the face, causing him to be launched back. But Luigi stops himself and attacks back as hard as he can, uppercutting Mario into the air first, which made him launch up and hit the ground painfully, but Luigi punches Mario while he is in the air still, and then did a Hammer-fist move on Mario to slam him back down to the ground painfully. But Mario dodged an incoming kick, and  Mario backflips out of the way, as he then takes a sword out and began to attack Luigi with it, and Luigi responds in kind by using his own sword, and the both of them began to clash blades with one another. The both of them attacked with speeds that no one else can ever match, as they swiped, pierced, and parried as much of their own attacks towards one another, as Luigi swung at Mario, who then ducked underneath the swing, and then Luigi attempted to swing the sword at his head, and Mario parried the swing with his own sword. Luigi turned around and blocked the swing coming at his back, before he swung back in full circle, only for Mario to block it, and Mario began to swing his sword in a circle, forcing Luigi to go on defense in order to not get cut by the sword, and even jump once Mario saw an opening. Luigi tried to slash as he jumped, and Mario did the same, and when they clashed, it caused the pillars around them to explode and be knocked away.

Luigi swings his sword much more aggressively than before, trying to outdo Mario as much as possible, but Mario defends with his sword, as he continues to block the attack, before Mario began to return with his own swings of his sword, forcing Luigi to block again, until Luigi felt his grip become a bit too lose, and Mario took the opportunity to strike at the sword, causing it to fly out of Luigi's grip. But Luigi does not stay down, as he punches the sword that Mario has out of his hand by hitting his head, and the both of them go into hand-to-hand combat with one another again. Luigi punches Mario again and succeeds fully hits him, but Mario blocks the third one and counterattacks, only for Luigi to block with his left arm, as Luigi steps back and dodged a swing from Mario's fist, and both brother's fists clashed with one another, before Mario skids back from a head butt, and blocks Luigi's punch, as he then blocks a swing of Luigi's arm from above, before attempting to hit Luigi in the head, only for him to duck, but Mario takes the opportunity to punch him in front, and this time Luigi got hit, and then Mario elbows Luigi on the face, and then gets punched yet again, and goes in to strike Luigi once more. But Luigi grabs Mario before he can do anything and slams him hard into the ground, before Mario stands up and expelled some of the Boos from his body, only for Luigi to avoid them, and as soon as he did, he lands down, but quickly turns and sees that they are about to attack from behind. Not wanting to risk getting hit, Luigi jumps over the Boos and jumps backwards, as the Boo re-enters Mario's body yet again, who jumps in front of Luigi, but he attacks by punching him in the stomach and makes him fly back a couple of feet, and the both of them resume throwing hands at each other, as the both of then clash fists, and Luigi uses his right arm to block a punch from Mario, before he punches Mario twice in retaliation, sending him flying backwards yet again, and yet Mario quickly regained his footing, as Mario swing a right hook at Luigi, who ducks underneath, and Luigi does his own right hook, which Mario ducked quickly from, and the both of them clashed fists again, before Luigi spins quickly and tries to backhand at Mario. But he dodged it and hits Luigi, sending him backwards, as both Mario and Luigi clashed fists and feet, briefly spinning around each other, as Mario jumps back and runs full speed towards Luigi, who then punches Mario quickly before he got even close, and tries to throw an uppercut at Mario, but he dodged the attack and kicks Luigi in the stomach and punches Luigi straight into the air, before he grabbed Luigi by the leg and slammed him to the ground and then goes in to kick him when his body bounced from the impact with the ground, and Luigi, feeling this, regained his footing and tries to run full speed towards Mario, and jumps into the air to kick him in the head. But Mario blocks the kick and punches Luigi into the air, as he goes up and quickly begins to fall down. But as that happened, Luigi looks in spite of his head blurring and feeling dizzy from the impact, and despite being upside down, he can see the Power Star in front of him in the air, glowing and pulsating, as it waits for the owner to catch him. Luigi, he felt an even greater form of determination running, as he realizes that he is not going down like, not when the lives of others are on the line. Thinking as quickly as possible, he turned his body as fast as he could, moved a little bit in the air, and lands onto Mario's head, which caught Mario by surprise, before he leapt and grabbed the Power Star. And the Boos within Mario...they realized their mistake, way too late.

Luigi landed onto the ground and absorbed the Power Star into his body. The moment that he did, his body began to glow white, as he felt his body strengthen more, since Luigi already has a Power Star inside of him. So now...his power has increased even more than ever before. A white explosion of sorts detonated around him, as he cannot help but wonder and marvel at the feeling. But Luigi was too distracted, because all of a sudden, Mario quickly ran in front of Luigi and began to attack him with a barrage of punches and kicks, and Luigi, he did not have the time to react to the sudden attack. He got punched, kicked, and head butted by Mario 3 times, and even that is not enough, as Mario through Luigi into the castle behind himself. But miraculously, the second Power Star that Luigi had absorbed did not get out and into Mario's hands. But Mario...he is about to be in even worse trouble than ever.

As Luigi laid unconscious, rather hurt from the attacks that Mario had done, a help from behind him came, as he then gets a new surprise.

All of sudden, another Power Star, it floated towards Luigi, as it entered, even with the other 2 that is already inside of him, and as it got close, it entered his body, his power amplified even more than ever before.

Luigi's body, as soon as this happened, began to glow white once more, brighter than before, as he felt his own power increase even more greater than he expected, and in the illuminated part that the darkness exposed...it shows that it is none other then Peach, who had been the one to deliver it.

Princess Peach had used the Power Star that she had in her possession, waiting until just the time that Luigi needs, and now...now that Luigi has 3 Power Stars, he is going to have much more of an advantage against Mario than ever before. She looks at Luigi and closed her eyes, as she spoke out.

"Luigi...please...keep fighting, and bring back Mario..."

Outside of the castle, as Luigi gets an even bigger upgrade than before, Mario looks and goes to see what is happening, but a white explosion, far stronger than last time, erupted from the castle, as Luigi sped out and punched Mario. And this time, Mario feels his muscles straining, as Luigi has the might of 3 Power Stars in his possession. Mario skid back and looks angrily, as Luigi began to make his assault onto Mario, and this time, he is holding nothing back. All of a sudden, before Mario knew it, he is suddenly launched off of his feet, as he then looks to see Luigi in front of him, as Luigi began to attack as furiously as possible. Luigi punches Mario and caused him to fall back down, as Mario began to defend and block Luigi's attacks, each punch ends up hurting Mario a tiny bit, yet he responds in kind and attacks back, as Luigi then kicks Mario in the head, before he then began to speed around him, leaving afterimages behind, which is beginning to confuse Mario a bit more than before. Mario tried to punch one of them, but he hand phased through it, before the real Luigi suddenly appeared out of nowhere and struck Mario at the side, causing him to slide a bit, as Luigi goes in to strike him. But the Boos within Mario...they got even madder than before, that the younger brother is starting to overpower them. So...it's about time that they do the same thing. As Luigi goes in to for attack, Mario's body began to glow red, and more boos got sucked into the vessel in order to amp it up as much as possible, and then grabs Luigi's fist just as it is about to punch him, as he then threw Luigi to the edge of the castle, before he punched him off so quickly.

As Luigi is in the air, Mario suddenly kicked Luigi above and made him slam down into the checkerboard-like ground hard, which made Luigi fall onto a bunch of toads and blood splattered everywhere, but Luigi, although hurt, is just on one knee, as he then quickly jumps and kicks Mario while he's falling, which caught Mario by surprise, as Mario falls flat on his back and Luigi hits his head onto Mario's stomach, which made Mario grunt in pain, before he bounded back up in front of Mario, and he then ran past him. Mario attempted to punch Luigi, but he was too quick, as Luigi punched Mario from at his back instantly, and then landed a number of punches onto Mario, before kicking him into the castle, and Luigi immediately runs as fast as he can, and Mario crashes into a wall, where a toad is at. And Luigi, seeing the toad, immediately jumps on front of Mario and punches him, but Mario caught his punch and kicks him, only for Luigi to head butt him, as the Toad manage to flee. Luigi is then kicked back by Mario, but Luigi hits Mario with a big right hook, which launched him through the wall and he fell down to the lower floor of the castle, as the bricks fell on top of him. But Mario bursts out and Luigi leapt down, as he resumes his fight against Mario, and all of a sudden, both Luigi and Mario began to move at bullet time, as everything is slowed down, and afterimages of themselves trailed behind them, and yet Luigi, in spite it all, is still faster, as he punched and struck Mario, despite himself being hit back hard.

Mario then grabs Luigi, spun him and threw him back a bit, before he then punches him hard, and he jumps up and he goes to spin and kick his head off, only for Luigi to duck and he then jumps up and kicks Mario in the head, who himself ducked to avoid it, and he then punches while Luigi is in the air, and Mario hits hard onto Luigi, as Mario goes in to attack Luigi, but Luigi blocks Mario's barrage of punches before he tries to punch, only for Mario to turn around and try to punch Luigi in the gut, who raised his arms and blocked the punch, lessening the damage, and he then punches Mario in the face, and he punched Mario again, before Mario goes in to punch Luigi, who quickly jumps back, but the bricks, which are slowed down behind him, hit Luigi from behind, yet he still stands, as he rushes over and uppercuts Mario and sends him up, before Luigi catches Mario and spine him around, and he then throws him down to the ground, and Mario stands back. Luigi now appears in front of him yet again, as he lands a punch on Mario, but the red lumber the grabs Luigi and throws him into a wall, before he goes in to kick him. But Luigi gets out of the way fast, as Mario just kicks the wall down, yet Luigi runs outside to resume his battle against Mario, but sees that he is nowhere in sight. Then, Mario appeared in a blur and tried to attack Luigi, only for Luigi block Mario's attack dodge his other punch, before he then punches back and hits him after he missed Mario when attempting an uppercut. Mario then attempts to punch Luigi, but Luigi sped out of the way and vanished, before he quickly reappeared and punched Mario in the shoulder, and he then tries to punch Mario when he got in front of him, which Mario raised his hand to block against, and then he himself sped away and vanished when Luigi tried to punch Mario, who then appears behind Luigi and punches him, and Luigi turns around to fight back, as both of their fists clashed together twice, each hit had made a shockwave. Mario then spun to kick Luigi, who ducked underneath, and then both clashed fists with one another, making a stronger shockwave that pushed them both back. But they both stopped themselves and began to run full speed towards one another again, and then, all of a sudden, the both of them began a blur of red, green, and blue, as the both of them tried to punch one another and they kept dodging each other, as Luigi spun around and tried to punch Mario from behind, only for Mario to vanish. But Luigi instantly turns around and blocks Mario's punch, as he then vanished and dodged Mario's punches twice, before the both of them jumped onto some pillars, and Luigi instantly jumped with immense speed towards Mario, and kicked him hard in to the face, as it knocked Mario a little bit, and Luigi jumps into the air, before he lands down onto Mario hard and brings them both beneath the surface, as Luigi hits onto Mario's stomach hard, before he jumps back to avoid a punch from Mario, and Luigi then sped behind Mario and kicked him hard in the back, which made him crash into pile of blocks. But Luigi is not done yet, as he instantly sped towards Mario and punches him hard, but Mario blocked it, as both he and Luigi clashed fists against each other 3 times, before Luigi dodged an incoming strike from Mario, and reappeared in the air  and uppercuts him, sending him up, only for Mario to fall back down and punch Luigi, making him stumble back, but Luigi kept on fighting, and after blocking a couple of Mario's punches, Luigi punched Mario into the air, and kicked Mario into a green pipe while in the air, and Luigi followed after him.

As that happened, both Luigi and Mario are now inside what seems to be a lava like place, and the both of them are standing on top of a bridge, and Mario already got into a stance, as Luigi simply stood before him. And then, Luigi sped in front of Mario and punched him as hard as he's able to. Mario retaliates back and tries to land his own punch, yet Luigi ducked, only for Luigi to counterattack with an uppercut, which Mario also avoided by spinning out of the way, before he tries to sweep Luigi's feet in order to knock him off balance, yet Luigi jumped to prevent that. Mario then jumped to punch Luigi, but he simply vanished and reappeared in the air and tries to pound on top of Mario, only for Mario to vanish and reappear behind Luigi, which made Luigi jump backwards. After a little bit of looking at one another, both Luigi and Mario clashed fists, the impact being so strong that it somehow mage the piece of the bridge that they are on top of break, as it floated on top of the lava. But Mario and Luigi did not back down, as they exchanged a barrage of punches and kicks at one another, before Luigi knocks Mario back with head butt and then a punch, pushing him to the edge, and then Mario suddenly reappears into the air and kicks Luigi, who blocks it and is pushed back, before Luigi counters Mario's punch with his own. But Mario then suddenly grabs Luigi and throws him off of the platform, expecting him to fall into the magma, but Luigi bounced on a support beam of the bridge and lands back onto the platform, which begins to flip and launched Mario off, as Luigi then jumped to where Mario landed to, on a piece of land next to the magma, as both Mario and Luigi exchanged more blows against one another again, before Luigi punches Mario into the air, and kicks him hard from behind, as they both landed on higher ground. They both looked at each other, as the brothers then ran at each other, before the vanish to the side and clashed with one another, as Mario punched Luigi in the air, making him double a bit in pain, but as they landed, Luigi vanished and punched Mario into the air, as Mario is now up and in the air, above what seems to be a castle. Luigi then appear in mid air, unleashing some punches and kicks at his brother, sending him off to the side, as Mario landed onto the ground and skids a bit. But Luigi appeared and punched his brother, sending him back more, only for him to vanish in2 areas, before he then appeared in front of Luigi and clashed fists with him. But as that happened, Luigi's eyes glowed white, as all of a sudden, a power energy shockwave erupted from Luigi's eyes and launched Mario back, as well as burning him a bit. But Mario does not back down, as he then ran fast towards Luigi, and the 2 brothers exchanged punches and kicks towards one another, as Mario jumped over his brother to punch him, only for him to dodge, and Luigi dodged another punch, and then, he reappeared behind his brother, and Luigi does the same, both brothers repeating this twice, before the both of them exchanged punches towards one another her, and then the both met in the air, clashing against one another, yet Mario got pushed away by Luigi's enhanced strength. Then the both of them met in the middle and exchange more punches and kicks, as both blocked one another, but Luigi is then kicked in the gut by Mario, but Luigi retaliates by quickly punching Mario and then kicks him into the air, before Mario grabs Luigi. But Luigi, not giving Mario a second, head butts him and throws him back, causing him to skid onto the ground to slow down.

Mario looks and Luigi, without hesitation, ran full speed ahead towards his brother, and Mario, not one to back down, also speeds up towards Luigi, the 2 brothers looked intently at one another, and they both jumped in the air, Mario's eyes glowing red, and Luigi's glowing white, and all of a sudden...

A powerful explosion erupted, a bright flash of light consumed the area that Mario and Luigi are on. Luigi is suddenly pushed back and hits a wall, as he grunts a little bit. But as he collects himself...he realized something about him...being wrong. He is not as strong as before. But why does he feel that way?

"What?"

Luigi looks up...and he saw the problem. Mario...he somehow got one of his Power Stars out. That is not good. And he lost it...all by plain and simple bad luck. He looks as he sees the Power Star...go into Mario.

Mario...he had now absorbed one of Luigi's Power Stars, now leaving him down to 2. When Mario absorbed one of them, his entire body has a red aura surrounding him, and the sky turned red itself. Luigi looked horrified, but he quickly stood up and sped towards Mario as fast as he can, his speed not being as much as before, but he's still far faster than ever before, as he and Mario locked hands and they pushed against one another, as both brothers looked at one another. But Mario, this time his own power has enhanced, and he is not going to let Luigi get the up on him this easily. He grabs Luigi by the neck, as he slams him down to the ground, before grabs him by the leg as he slams him repeatedly over and over and over, before he jumped up into the air and lands onto him, making blood blow out of Luigi's body, but Luigi then turned to the side and punches Mario hard in the face, sending him back. However, toads began to appear and rushed to stop Mario, but that was a big mistake on their part, as one of them punches Mario twice, who felt nothing, and he unleashed a shockwave from his eyes, destroying the toad's body mostly, before another one goes to hit him, but Mario slams the toad down and makes his head bit the ground, before jumping into the air and crushing him beneath, and another toad, he simply grabbed onto the toad and punched him multiple times and ripped his head off, most of his spine spilling out of his neck and the other part is still attached to his head, before he speeds towards another Toad and vanished around him, before he knocks that toad down and rips him in half. He then goes to another toad and rips his spine out, before he knocked him down and jumps on top of him, splitting the toad in half, and then made a powerful red energy shockwave that caused the toads rushing in to be destoryed. However, as that happened, a white shockwave appeared out of nowhere and hits Mario, damaging him greatly, as Luigi rushed in and punches Mario at the side of his face, knocking him into the air. But Mario then catches the next punch, as Luigi catches Mario's other hand, as the both of them held each other in place. As that happened, Mario finally spoke out, his voice...it is not one that Luigi himself recognizes.

"Your struggle is pointless... we have already won. The vulnerable state your kingdom is in now only invites attack!"

Luigi's eyes widened, the voice of many countless boos echo through Mario's mouth. But Luigi...he had no idea that the worst has yet to come, as the Boos spoke out through Mario's voice.

"While your focus has been on saving your brother, our army has already attacked and acquired every Power Star in the Mushroom Kingdom!"

As Mario said that, out in the distance...there were many Toads coming...and they are not themselves.

In the distance, an army of possessed roads are seen in the horizon, marching towards the castle that Mario and Luigi are fighting in, having gathered all of the Power Stars that they could find. And Mario...he continued to speak out to Luigi, as the Boos then make their intentions known to Luigi, as if to try and break his spirit.

"They are near... and once they arrive, the combined force, of all Power Stars will be unleashed, and our final purpose will be fulfilled... The destruction, of all creation!"

Luigi...the moment that he heard this, closed his eyes, as he felt his arms straining, they almost felt numb. Some part of him just wants to give up, since the Boos within Mario had stolen one of his Power Stars. But...as he thought that, his eyes began to flicker open, as he felt something...inside of him.

Within Luigi, the might of his 2 remaining Power Stars began to resonate, as they both pulsed at the same time. All of a sudden, a powerful explosion from the Power Stars damaged Mario and pushed him back, as he got burned by this sudden attack. And then...Luigi, freed from Mario's grip, stepped forward, as he crossed his arms, his eyes with nothing but a defiant glare as he then spoke out, as his tone is of determination towards his own brother.

"Your ambition won't come to pass! I'm willing to risk everything to stop you!!"

Mario, being persistent and determined to destroy all that existence by the Boos' corrupting influence, spoke out to Luigi, as his eyes gleamed red with dangerous malice.

"THEN FACE ME, ONE. LAST. TIME!!!"

And facing him, Luigi did, as he jumps into the air, and Mario does the same, and the both of them clashed against one another, creating a powerful shockwave upon impact, as the both of them landed down to the ground. As they did, the brother vanished to to try and kick one another, but each brother vanished when they other tries to do so. Then Mario ends this by pounding down to the ground, causing a crater to form beneath. Mario then kicks a block made of bricks at Luigi, who kicks it back and it goes to Mario, who then punches it, which broke it.

The brothers then vanished, as they clashed fists in the middle, making a red and white shockwave, before they clashed fists again, and now...now Luigi is having big trouble. Before he has the upper hand because he had 3 Power Stars and Mario had none. But now Mario stole one of his own Power Stars, meaning that Luigi is going to have a harder time taking him down. Luigi and Mario vanished repeatedly, as Luigi then goes in to punch Mario, only for Mario to grab Luigi and throw him to the side. Luigi looks and quickly vanished, as Mario crashed together the ground, making a crater of sorts, as Luigi then goes in to crash down onto Mario, only for him to move out of the way, making the crater more deeper. But Luigi is not done, as he leapt up into the air, and both brothers lashed against one another, making a shockwave of sorts, as they both vanished again to the ground. But when Mario stood up, Luigi came out of nowhere and punched Mario hard in the face, as Mario skids back a bit, and both brothers began to vanish as they try to hit one another, only for Mario to punch Luigi and knock him into the air, and reappears behind in order to strike him from behind, but Luigi suddenly vanished and kicked Mario from behind, sending him into the air instead, as Luigi then kicks Mario, sending him crashing into the castle and looking like a white comet. This caused the top part of the castle to be destroyed in a way, and Mario stood up, recovering fast, as Luigi appears and punches Mario repeatedly, only for Mario to unleash a punch of his own, and Luigi dodged it, causing the rest of the castle to suddenly split in half. They landed to the ground, and Luigi wastes no time as he runs forward to kick Mario, which pushed him back, and Luigi lands into a crater. Mario goes into the crater and both Luigi and Mario punched and blocked one another, before Luigi vanished into a blur to dodge Mario's punches, and then reappearing to punch Mario twice, before kicking him out of the crater, only for Mario to suddenly vanish and behind Luigi, and Luigi instantly reacted, as he blocks some blows from Mario and counter's Mario's attack, but Luigi still got hit in the gut by Mario, who then vanished behind him and kicked him in midair, before he reappeared in front of Luigi to kick him, and then reappears behind him, punching him into the air, before Luigi vanished and kicks him from behind out of nowhere, sending him flying away, as Luigi sped after him.

Mario grabs at the ground to stop him, as he countered Luigi's punch, before he vanished to kick Mario from behind, only for Mario to turn around and block it, as both Mario and Luigi began to exchange blows on each other, and then began to vanish twice to hit the other, as Luigi goes behind Mario to attack him, only for both brothers to miss, but Luigi finally punched him and pushed him back, and Mario than grabs Luigi and head butt him, making him skid back, as Mario goes to punch Luigi, who blocks it and punches back, and tries to punch again, but Mario quickly turns around and hits Luigi on the face, and goes to kick him, yet Luigi ducks down to dodge it, and quickly, Luigi grabs Mario and slammed him to the ground, before Mario stood up and clashed fists against one another twice. Then Luigi punched the ground to block Mario's feet, and Mario punches Luigi, sending him back. Then, the both of them pulled out their swords, and the both of them began to swing at one another, clashing and parrying against one another, as Luigi vanished and appeared elsewhere. But Mario followed suit, as they began to swing at each other, with Mario dodging one swing and tried to attack from the other side, only for Luigi to clash blades against him, and then both brothers jumped into the air and clashed in midair, before they both landed down and slashed against one another, before Mario vanished to avoid a swing and kicks Luigi in the face, and Mario positions his sword to stab the ground. But Luigi moved out of the way and clashed against Mario's blades again, as Luigi vanished to avoid a swing and tries to attack Mario, only for Mario to jump back and clashed blades twice, and Luigi vanished again, this time he successfully slashed Mario across the chest, as blood splattered all over.

Mario is launched back from the hit, yet he stops himself, but he is then forced to block Luigi, who kicks him and pushed Mario back. Mario throws Luigi away and vanished, as Mario goes at Luigi to attack him, who simply moves back to avoid the hits, but later got hit by Mario again still, before the both of them clashed against one another and pushed one another back. All of a sudden, both are in the air and they kicked against each other, and then they hit sped away and met at the side, as the brothers clashed fists, but Luigi manages to punched Mario and tried to punch him again, but Mario moved out of the way and behind Luigi. Luigi blocks a punch from Mario, and then goes to return a punch to hit Mario, who blocks it, and Luigi manages to punch Mario, before the red plumber returns the favor and uppercuts Luigi into the air and kicks him away. As Luigi got launched into the air, he looks and sees a white sphere is light about to come to him. No doubt from Mario. Thinking quickly, Luigi made his own energy sphere and blasts it at the other one, causing an explosion that knocked him more, before he fell to the ground.

And as he did, the possessed toads are arriving to Mario, as both him and Luigi continued to exchange blows against one another. Mario got some successful hits on Luigi, but Luigi vanished and sped beside Mario to strike at him, which made a powerful shockwave. Mario, not wanting to waste time, punches Luigi and sends him into the air, before kicking him into the wall of another castle. This hurt a lot, as Luigi felt blood leaking out of his body, and he landed hard to the ground. Luigi tries to stand up, and he is now struggling to do so, and his vision is beginning to blur, but he still has enough to finally look up at what is about to happen, as the possessed toads draw near. And what he saw...is horrifying. By what seems to be some sort of mental command, Mario's eyes glowed red and the toads glowed white, as the Power Stars that they gained began to go up into the air and gathered above Mario, as they merged into something else...and Luigi's eyes widened in shock, as he realized what is about to go down.

Luigi looks in horror...as he sees the combined Power Star, now having been completed. He felt scared, as the combined Power Star began to lower down to Mario. And Luigi...he has no idea what to do. Everyone is going to die from the strength of what this combined Power Star will do, and he...he feels powerless to stop it. But Luigi...he cannot...he should not...he would not...

"I WILL NOT LET YOU WIN!!!"

Luigi felt the pulse of his 2 Power Stars again, and Luigi, using what little strength he has, jumps as fast as he can, as he goes in to reach the Power Star fusion. Luigi, although he does not dare want to look still, knows he has to, because if he closes his eyes...what will he dare see next? He does not want to know what he will witness if he dares even blink for even a single second.

Mario closes his eyes, as he smiled dangerously, he feels like his victory is finally about to be achieved. As he looks up and waits for the Ultra Power Star to come down and be absorbed into himself. It is going down...closer, and closer, and closer. He could almost feel it touching him. He feels like he has won. He will destoryed everything and everyone in existence...and no one will stop him. But alas...he was incredibly wrong. Because just milliseconds before it touched him...it was moved out of the way...by Luigi, who grabbed it by an extended right hand. Mario's eyes widened in shock, as he can only roared out.

"NOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!"

And before Mario knew it...a powerful explosion of white light erupted. An explosion so powerful, from light years away, countless galaxies began to push away from the galaxy that Luigi and Mario lived onto for so long. And yet, when it stopped, they instead grew closer to one another, as if even the universe itself is uniting against the one foe that threatens all of existence. They will not die by his hands, nor do they ever plan to die.  No...they grew closer together, in order to defend against the very forces of nature that threatens it dearly.

Mario was on his feet, as he looked in sheer horror and rage at the sight before his eyes. The toads that are behind him are also looking in fear at the sight before them, as Luigi steps forward and walks towards the legion of boos within their vessels. Luigi, having absorbed the combined power of all of the Power Star, has a white aura surrounding him and his eyes also are glowing white, the stars shine and surround the blackened void of the night sky, as he looks at the Boos that has taken over the toads and his own older brother, in which he spoke, calmly, his voice as loud as a supernova, and yet, the pitch of his tone didn't.

"You just don't get it, do you? You boos think that you can take my brother and do what you want with him, try to destroy all of creation, all in a delusional ambition. You thought that I would never stand a chance against you...but you assumed wrong. Because I did not need to, for you gave me...that...chance. Fate is not yours to command, nor do I want it mine to do so...but for you...I will use it...to put an end to your reign."

He stepped forward, as Mario looked in even more shock and horror at the sight. This is not how it was supposed to go. It was never...how it was supposed to go. He looks at to a possessed toads and roared out.

"What are you waiting for?! KILL HIM!!!"

The toads obeyed, as they rushed towards Luigi. But before anyone knew it, one second, he was gone, and the next second, the toads were unconscious, and the boos were expelled and suddenly destroyed, as Mario looked on, even more rage then ever, as he took out a sword and charged at Luigi, in an attempt to put him down and kill him. But Luigi sidestepped out of the way, his eyes flashed white for a single bit, as the sword detonated and shattered. And then, Mario was suddenly launched off of his feet, despite Luigi not actually moving, like Luigi was using his mind to knock him away. Mario, then leapt at Luigi yet again, making multiple after images, as Mario goes behind in order to touch him. But Luigi turns around, and with a single glare of rage, Mario was suddenly frozen in midair. Luigi steps forward, as now, he is done letting the Boos use his brother this way. He puts a hand on Mario, and sucks out the last remaining Power Star, fully completing the fused Power Star, and he then clenched his fist, which glows white brightly, as he spoke out.

"Boos...your reign...has come to an end. And so does your control over my bro. Say goodbye."

He then unleashed a single punch, and hits it in the heart of Mario. And before the Boos knew it, they all shot out of Mario in agony. But Luigi is not done yet. No...he is going to done with one thing left to do. He jumps into the air in between the Boos, and with a sudden flash of his eyes, a white light glowed and exploded, the explosion is so great, the Boos were destroyed, and they shrieks in agony, as if they are suffering from 3000 years of burning fire, as they are vanquished, once and for all.

As the day began rise, Luigi leapt down from the sky, as he landed onto the ground. He then looks around, and he sees his brother, laying down on his back. Luigi then vanished and reappears beside his older bro. Luigi looks down, for a few moments...Mario...wasn't waking up. Luigi looked desperate and scared, hoping that Mario did not die. But deep down...a fear that Mario did die when Luigi expelled the Boos...it began to grow by the passing second, and he felt sad, as he whimpered quietly.

"...Mario..."

He then goes onto is knees, and closed his eyes, and he felt that...Mario really did die. He wanted to cry, but...Luigi did not have the strength to do so. He felt too tired to cry. Peach runs and looks, and sees that Mario is not waking up, as Peach also felt her tears began to well, as she goes onto her knees and covered her face with her hands. Luigi closed his eyes as he hanged his head down, and...one single tear leaked from his eyes, and landed onto Mario's own eyelid. When that happened...Mario began to awaken...and whispered out.

"L-Luigi..."

Luigi, hearing this, opened his eyes, and looked in shock...and yet...relief, as he sees his older brother beginning to wake up, and Peach, hearing Luigi's response, looks and sees Mario getting up, and Luigi, he began to stand up, looking almost in disbelief, yet he wants to believe it, as he sees Mario looking at him. Luigi did not know what to do...until Mario touched his shoulder and smiled at him, as Luigi smiled, and this time, more tears welled out, as he cried out one name.

"MARIO!!!!"

He then quickly hugs Mario and began to sob loudly, all the pain and struggle, it wasn't for nothing. He began to wail loudly in that he had truly succeeded in bringing his brother back, and tears are now leaking out furiously, which are also being lifted by his own white aura, as Mario smiled and hugged his brother, and Peach, she also began to smile with tears of happiness leaking off from her face.

She cannot believe how close she was to losing Mario. But now...she sees that Mario truly is back this time, and in the end...she is very happy.

Luigi and Mario continued to hug, as Mario spoke out to him.

"Luigi...you are an amazing bro. No other words can describe how proud you made me in saving me in this way."

But Luigi began to blubber out towards his older brother.

"BUT I...I GOT SO CLOSE TO LOSING YOU!!! I DON'T-A WANT TO LOSE YOU BRO!!!"

Mario smiled as he closed his eyes and spoke out.

"And I...to you. I was trapped, I could not stop the boos inside of me, and I was forced to watch as they killed so many innocent lives in the end, even when I did my best to fight them off. But you...you were the bravest that I had ever seen in a long time, you fought against them and did not give up, and you...accomplished something I myself could not do. That is why...you are my number one, bro."

Luigi smiled as he felt himself calm down, as he hugs his brother silently. But then, Peach stepped forward, and Mario looks to see her. And Mario...he felt so unhappy, as he looks to the side in shame. But Peach doesn't care, as she ran forward and hugged Mario tightly, very happy that he is back again.

Luigi smiled himself as he wiped his tears away, so happy that, he had accomplished what he wanted to do, saving his only family.

The deaths of everyone...they were not in vain in the end. Their deaths may not be reversed, but in spite of it all...the Boos were gone, and this time, they are not coming back.

Later...

It took...quite a long time. There were too many goodbyes, all the toads had been killed by the boos, and there were so many memorials to make. So many graves to dig for everyone, for toads and yoshis alike. It was a heartbreaking for everyone. Every single one, even Mario, who felt immense guilt by what happened. On the bridge side, though, Peach going to make sure that this does not happen again. And is now more...around him, in order to ensure that he is not alone at all times, in order to help him ease his guilt, with Luigi doing the same, at least until they can find a solution to ensure that he does not get possessed again.

The combined Power Star, because it could not separated and split into its components, had to be stored somewhere in the Mushroom Kingdom temporarily, until a place that can hold off such a powerful object can be built to store it, seeing how dangerous it is.

Luigi sighed a bit, as he rested onto his bed, and he looks up into the air. His arms spread across and wide, as he spoke out.

"All of those deaths, I...I really hope that they can forgive my brother one day, if they have the strength to forgive him after all the boos had done through using him. And my brother...I think he has been traumatized by what the boos had done to him. He will need a lot of time to recover

Luigi then stood up and began to walk around, as he looks and sees an open door to Peach's bedroom. He looks and sees Peach hugging Mario close to herself, as Mario does the same. Luigi smiled a bit, as he slowly and quietly closed the door, and he spoke out.

"...I'm just glad...that the boos won't be coming back anytime soon. I won't let them use my brother like this again."

Luigi then walks back to his room, and he closes his own door, before he sleeps onto the pillow. Luigi closed his eyes and smiled a bit, as he began to rest, for once, calmly, although Luigi...he himself is possibly going to have nightmares about what happened, and he himself might be traumatized by what occurred. He does not even know if he will be able to recover from what had happened beforehand involving the Boos' reign, but in a way, he just hopes that what happened to his brother, does not happen again.
