LAYNES P.O.V.

A fire ball had then shot my way after the tree fell down on the playground swings.

It flew past my head, I think it singed me a little. But the fire ball had hit the tree in back of me.

Then Kaleb shot a bolt that way towards where the fireball had come from.

So this guy has either our powers, or two people with different powers but like ours.

Then I shot another fireball into the darkness about the size of a watermelon.

That's when I heard the sirens. Police sirens filled my ears as I ran for the car pipe; I could see Kaleb running like it was the rapture.

But when I reached my bike, the police had already arrived.

"Put your hands behind your head!" I don't hesitate and a good thing my ring stopped glowing.

And before I knew it I was in the back of a police car with Kaleb, handcuffed.

"Stupid," Kaleb spits on the seat.

"Watch it Homer!" yelled the officer. "If you get near me with that mouth I'll make you lick this whole car clean!"

Then we sped off.

I was searched through, my jacket was taken, and then I was forced in a stinky cell with Kaleb, we weren't handcuffed any more; Kaleb buried his face in his hands.

"I should have known," he says.

"About what?" I face him.

"Jane she- she set us up, that klutz, that's what!"

"How do you know, Homer?" I laugh in my mind using the word the officer used for him.

"She wasn't there, and I know she doesn't have huge hands like that."

It doesn't take long for our parents to bale us out

Before I get my stuff I look at the clock, 3:30am

I pick up my wallet, phone and watch but before I put my jacket on I see huge fire ball symbols on the Back.

"WHAT!" I say aloud

Then I look at Kaleb, he also looks at his jacket, he had a symbol of a lightning ball.

Then I look at the front of my jacket

The words: PYRA were printed in flame like letters on the left front pocket.

I also notice Kaleb looking at the same thing but on his.

The words: ASTRAPES, are printed like a real lightning bolt way, a lightning bolt is shown going threw the words.

Then Kaleb looks at me and mouths, "Wow."

Then our parents walk in.
