Once the doctor put my belongings that use to be in my pockets in front of me on the desk by my room--I was still surprised that my phone or my other things that weren't fire proof didn't melt --then the doctor said,
"Nice shirt," she said.
"Thanks," I finally say, I then put my stuff in my pockets, and walked to the elevator.
When the elevator door closes and I reach for the first floor button, I then feel warm goo on my fingers; I look down at my finger and what use to be the waiting first floor button.
I quickly yank my hand back and wipe my finger on my shirt.
Weird, I thought. Then I look down at my shirt and groan, "Now my shirts ruined!"
Then when I'm about to reach for the car level button, I get a crazy idea that pops into my head.
I press the very top button where the last parking lot is.
The elevator goes up with a light jerk, and as I move up slowly I think of what happened to the melted button. Did someone put a cigarette to it, but I couldn't smell any smoke.
Once the elevator stops and the doors open, I walk out noticing it was dark.
I walk towards the edge of the wall at the far side that keeps cars and people from falling over.
I know what I was about to do was stupid crazy, but I was determined. I just-just felt like I needed to do it.
I needed to accomplish it.
I ran, full speed towards the edge and with surprisingly strength from my legs, I jump all the way over. YOU CAN DO THIS! I yelled in my mind. JUST DON'T FREAK OUT LIKE LAST TIME!
And just for the fun of it, I yelled, "PYRA!" my words echoing over the city.
I told myself to fly, sending my whole body to flames, since I was in a less housed area, and I was higher up, I could fly better.
I flew past some small buildings, kicking some birds along the way by accident. SORRY!
But I wasn't headed for my home just yet.
I wanted to check on Jane to see if she was ok.
She had written her phone number and address for me and Kaleb before she left the hospital, furious of my mother thinking she had hurt me on purpose.
When I finally found Jane's house, I landed a kind of a perfect landing--if slamming into their garden was a good landing--then my phone rang.
When I looked at the number it was Kaleb's home phone.
"Hello," I ask holding the phone up to my ear. Why was he calling on his home phone?
"Hey its Kaleb, guess what?!" He shouted.
"Huh?"
"My phone melted!!" He laughed.
"WHAT!" so that's why, but how did his phone melt?
"Yeah, but let me tell you this..." my brain shut off from Kalebs' voice when I stared at a dark haired and a huge eyebrow boy. The boy gave me the creeps, something was off about him.
I hung up my phone totally forgetting Kaleb was still talking to me.
Then I stared at the boys' hands, he was wearing these weird metal gloves. There was also a symbol on them but I couldn't make it out from being so far away.
Then the boy pointed at me with his pointing metal finger. As he gave me a dark stare.
"You!" He shouted out.
I look at him like he was crazy or something.
"Watch out!" He yells, and for some reason I listen to him.
I side step and run almost tripping right when a gush of wind passed by me.
The cause of the gush of wind was a big metal eagle about the size of my family car.
Before the eagle could turn back around to chase me, the boy with his arm still stretched out, closed his finger and made a fist.
Immediately the metal eagle crumpled into a messy ball that looked like a human fist at the end.
When the eagle hit the ground in sparks, I stared at the boy; I notice he's about my age, but a lot smaller than me and Kaleb. Well, not that short but still, he looked like a five-year-old almost.
He smiled at me; his smile reminded me of the joker, his dark eyes staring into mine like he saw my sin and wrong doings inside me.
Then he laughed, it gave me the chills. Creepy.
"The names Berry, Berry Ellsworth and a thank you would be nice."
