I walk out of the hospital furious of Layne's Mom.

My face was red, so red and my face hurt so badly from it I might have burst into flames like Layne.

I wanted to say so many things to her but she never gave me the time of day to listen! I mean, how could she think I was his ex-girlfriend and set him up?

When I reached the road in front of the hospital, I checked my phone for text messages and phone calls.

When I was in the hospital before his family came, I turned it on silent so I wouldn't disturb Layne's soft sleep.

I had only one text, first I thought it was my Dad but the number was unknown.

KEEP WALKING!

It said in big letters, whatever that meant, I put the phone back in my pocket, I just figured out I can text with glass gloves on, yay (That was sarcastic by the way.) Ever since I had the gloves on I tried texting once but i guess it was glitching before, but now I can text perfectly fine with them on!

When I was almost at my house, I walked by a metal American eagle, I thought I saw its eyes twitch. I turn around to face it, sending my glass gloves to brighten.

I wait, but it never moves, not even its eyes twitch like last time.

Maybe Layne's moms' mood is getting to me. I shove my hands in my pockets and walk away.

I still can't figure out how people never found out about any meteors unless... the government is keeping it secret, but that still didn't make since how nobody saw Layne in a ball of flames soaring through the sky.

I walk up to my house in twenty minutes.

I check under the rug for the keys since my dad might be asleep or went out with friends since that wouldn't surprise me, but he was pretty much always there for me.

The spare keys weren't there! How could that be? Unless my Dad lost his but he wouldn't leave me keyless!

So I guess I have to go with a second option.

I climb over our fence leading to the back yard, I find my Dads latter leading up to the roof, and I could see fresh paint on the wooden pillars.

I climb up since my room window is just above it.

When my hands touch the roof shingles, my shoulders started to feel like they had just been pierced by sharp shark-like teeth, then I'm lifted up into the air while hearing a loud screech and WHOOP! WHOOP! Sound as huge gushes of air hit my face and body.

I looked up and I saw its wings first, then its head, a metal eagle! Are you serious! but then I started to bleed and my shirt started to get sticky. I had no energy left to even scream.

So much blood. So much blood.

My face felt as if it was being ripped off, I guess if Layne's mom wouldn't finish me off, the stupid eagle with wind powers will.

SCREEEECH! The huge metal eagle roared as it soared passed houses and kicked tiny pigeons out of its way.

Then I black out.
