Derek and his Posse

KALEBS P.O.V

While riding down the path on my way home I saw a dark figure, that kind of looked like a dear, but when it was too late and it got closer I saw Layne's face bright as day, he ran into my front tire flying over his bars into me, knocking us both on the hard gravel.

Thank god no one saw us because we had the trees as cover. Layne's hands blaze into flames.

"Wow, wow calm down it's just me! Wait how are you doing that without saying anything?"

The fire in Layne's hands goes out. He looks down at them, "I don't know, I just thought about the name."

"Do it again!" I asked.

A few seconds later, I didn't see what he was doing, its too dark only the little bit of moon light. His hands suddenly caught a blaze.

"That's so cool, should I try?"

"Well... maybe not here someone might be watching," Layne said with a bit of worry in his voice.

When we finally got back on our bikes and were about to pedal back home, I felt a hand jerk me back into the darkness, and my body smacked down on the hard gravel. I finally caught my breath and got back up, I heard someone by my side, and I look over to see Layne.

When Layne and I finally noticed Derek and his posse with grim smiles on their faces, I suddenly knew it was going to be a long night.

Two of the bigger kids in his posse came up and put our arms behind our backs. I didn't recognize them; they must have gone to a different school, or they didn't go to school at all.

The one that grabbed Layne had a scar from what looked like a dog had bit his face.

I figured I'd call him dog fight.

The one that grabbed me just had a rugged look to him. They pull us back by the hair and make us look up at Derek.

Then I speak up, "What?! Too scared to fight your own fights, Derek?"

He didn't respond, he just kept a grim look on his face.

"I think he's just scared because of what happened last time," Layne laughed.

"Hold this for a minute," Derek said handing his friend his flash light. "I'm about to teach someone some respect."

He walked up to Layne punching him in the gut. Layne jolted forward from the punch

And at that point I was pretty mad, and my hands had gotten kind of sweaty and I was able to get lose turning around kicking rugged look into the bushes, with great strength. When I turned back around dog fight punched me straight in the nose. I used all my strength into my body and urged myself not to shock the kid to ashes.

As I was falling back from the punch I see Layne kick dog fight into Derek and the rest of the crew with quite some strength

Layne rushed over to me giving me his hand, I grabbed it and pulled my self up.

"Thanks man," I say holding my nose.

"Anytime Dude," Layne responded.

I then saw Derek rushing at us, Layne and I reach out punching him far back into a tree.

Layne and I rush back to our bikes to once again be on our way home.
