Chapter Two: Amy's Turn
The five rangers and Amy arrived at the bunker not long after they learned about Colby's disappearance and the Dark angels. Upon arrival, Colby's car was gone and so was the impala. Mark tried not to think about the various possibilities, but at least everyone was together. Amy was with him as she would not take no for an answer, Amy had donned her Sapphire blue blouse and together they were off. The team walked into the bunker and were talking amongst themselves, thoughts ran through their minds as they looked for an explanation.
"What the hell should we do?" Tara asked.
"I say that we go out and make sure everyone is safe," Kat suggested.
"We should also try to figure out where Colby went," Sam suggested.
Suddenly, the bunker alarms blared causing everyone in the bunker to jump. It had been a year since they heard the alarm. Caught off guard, Amy and Mark looked at the camera and finally knew where Colby had gone. He was surrounded by Dark Angels and Azazel. Cursing under his breath, Mark turned to his team.
"Rangers, I think it's time we jump back into action," Mark said. "But Amy, you have to stay here,"
"What? But Mark!" Amy protested.
"No! the last thing I need is for you to get hurt, let's get going rangers!"
Mark and the rest of the team took off.
*~*~*
Amy felt out of place, her boyfriend was off saving the world and here she was, stuck in the bunker. Amy scoffed and rolled her eyes; no way was she going to get stuck here by herself. Amy ran out of the bunker and followed her boyfriend and the team to the abandoned neighborhood where the hideous monster with a long white staff and bright yellow eyes stood. All around him were foot soldiers all black with swords and completely dressed in armor. She saw Colby holding his backpack as he backed away. Amy hid behind some bushes and watched as the rangers showed up.
"Well rangers, I didn't think you would show up," Azazel said.
"We didn't feel like waiting for an invitation," Sam answered. "Colby, Run."
Colby wasted no time and headed for the forest where Amy just so happened to be hiding. But instantly a battle had ensued. A group of Dark Angels chased Colby, but he hadn't gone far as the monsters cut him off from behind, A Dark angel grabbed his bag.
"Hey!" Colby yelled fighting over the bag.
The bag slipped from his hands as it flew and landed not too far from Amy, seeing her chance, she ran for it and grabbed the bag just as the Dark angels approached.
"Whatever you idiots need in this bag; you'll have to go through me first!" Amy exclaimed.
The dark angels made strange noises almost metallic and ran at her. She backed up but swung the bag onto her back. She kicked a dark angel in between the legs, the dark angel stumbled unable to register what had happened, more came after he but she thought fast and grabbed a branch swinging herself up she caused the dark angels to climb.
Grabbing a branch, she swiped at a dark angels hand knocking it off the tree followed by the others. The Dark angels fell and the minute they hit the ground, they disintegrated.
"Amy!" Colby called.
Amy jumped from the tree.
"That was amazing," Colby exclaimed. "How did you do that?"
"I saw you were in trouble so, I thought I'd help," she answered. "What's in this bag anyway?"
Amy opened it and saw the sapphire-colored box. Confused, she pulled it out and opened it. Inside she saw a beautiful sapphire necklace. The necklace made a strange humming sound and levitated in the air. Amy had been at a loss of words as the necklace flew at her and latched onto her neck. She coughed but the pain subsided as fast as it appeared. Suddenly, the Jewel glowed a bright sapphire color before a ranger suit appeared on her body followed by her Sapphire helmet.
"What the hell?!" Amy exclaimed.
"No way," Colby answered "Amy, you are the new sapphire ranger!"
"But... How?" Amy asked.
"You fought to defend not only me, but the bag, you didn't even know what was in it." Colby explained.
"Whoa! Cool!" A sudden thought occurred to her; the rangers might need her help. "I've got to go help them!"
"Don't reveal your identity yet, not until we get back to the bunker, I don't know how Mark and the rest would like to see a new ranger," Colby said. worried. "Be careful."
Amy nodded as she raced to join the rangers.
