A/N: I'm sorry that it's been basically a month since the introduction but that's how long it will probably take me to write chapters now :)
Time is essential to average perfection UwU.
But you all probably don't want to keep waiting so I present; the first chapter for Power Rangers Lost Runes :D

The sound of many footsteps echoed through the airport as people scurried across the floors. Loud engines could be heard from outside as planes both landed and departed from the runways. Even small squeaky suitcase wheels could be heard.
As the crowds of civilians moved around in blurred motions, one black and white blob stood in the center, looking around the room in awe. The young man grinned as he walked to the exit of the airport, grinning even more when he took a deep breath, breathing in NZ air for the first time.
Black...

'The Sappanite is a purplish colour with an orange tint to it. It is quite rare and found in caves, deep in rainforests and other dense jungles.' Trees covered the land that surrounded the city of Auckland. Many birds inhabited these mini forests, chirping away with their lives.
Sitting on the forest floor, against one big kauri tree, sat a blue-haired, darkish-toned male with a book in his lap; A book titled 'Crystals; The Earth's Natural Jewellery' He smiled to himself as he continued to read, hoping to find something about the crystal at the end of his necklace mother gave him as a New Year's present.
Red...

"Go Nicks!" A pink-haired teen cheered to their friend, clapping as the girl in front of them continued to practice her dancing. She stopped after one last cartwheel and took a bow, smirking at her friend who was still clapping. "Thanks, Fins!"
The green-shirt teen smiled, causing the girl to smile as well. They paused for a moment before breaking into fits of laughter, soon turning from laughter into a game of tag around the park.
Purple...
Green...

'100... 103... 115!' He counted as his head before the blue-themed male found the spot, sliding the book into the empty slot on the shelf. Soon enough, he heard the bell, signalling that the library will be closing in 15 minutes.
He quickly managed to return the rest of the books on his cart before taking the elevator down. Getting packed up, he waved goodbye to his partners before leaving the library and starting his journey home.
Blue...

Max let out a loud yawn as he stretched from his spot on his bed, smiling as he got out of bed. Today was his official first day in New Zealand, and his first day at his new job; coaching a football team at the local college. As he got dressed and ready, he could hear his friend downstairs in the kitchen, possibly making them some breakfast.
"YO MAX! YA COMIN TO EAT YOUR BREAKFAST OR AM I FEEDING IT TO THE SEAGULLS?!" He laughed as he heard the male downstairs, shouting at him.
"IM COMIN ELI IM COMIN!" Max grabbed his bag and walked out of his room, grinning when he sees his friend, Elijah or Eli, eating waffles with his crystal book in his hand. He looks up and grins, swallowing his mouthful of breakfast before speaking. "Finally! Now hurry up and eat before it gets cold."
"Fine fine." He takes his seat, picking up the fork and starts to eat his slightly warm banana waffles with maple syrup. "So how long you gonna keep reading these crystal books?"
"For as long as it takes me to figure out what mine is."
"Can I see yours?" Eli nods and takes out his necklace from under his sweater, showing the red sphere to his friend. The dark-skinned male looked at the other with a bit of confusion as Max's eyes went wide. He dug into his bag until he found his own crystal and showed it to his friend, earning the same wide eyes from the other.
"You have one too?"
"Yeah, found mine while cycling. Popped my bike tire."
"You cycle? Pfft. Since when?"
"Shut up dude!" Elijah let out a small chuckle before looking at the two crystals. "What do you think they are?"
Max just shrugged, never expecting the crystal whizz to ask him about 'special glowing rocks'. "I don't know mate, you're the one who studies crystals like your life depended on it." "I do not!" "Do too." "DO NOT!!" "DO TOO!" They continued to go back and forth between them before their crystals starting glowing, one black and one red.
"They ever done that for you?"
"Mate, this is as new to me as it is to you."
Suddenly, the two crystals started to float into the air before launching themselves out the window. The two sat at the table astonished, not able to move from the shock they felt after witnessing such a strange occurrence. Silence engulfed the room as the two looked towards the window until one decided to break it. "What in the actual hell just happened?"
"Honest to got dude, I have absolutely no clue on what that was. It's never done that to me before."
The two looked at each other before Max checked his watch, his eyes widening as he hurriedly stands up from his seat at the table, scaring the living hell out of the other. "I gotta go before I'm late on my first day. You want me to help search for the crystals afterwards?" Eli shook the shock off and smiled at his friend. "If you're not busy, then I would love the help."
"Great cause I'm not busy and I want my crystal back. See ya when I get back I guess."
"Adios!"
Max left the building as Eli continued to wonder what could've happened to their crystals...

"That's good stuff, Group B! Keep up the kicks!" Max shouted as he looked out towards the around 50 college students who decided to play football that year, grinning to himself proudly. He checked his watch and let out a slight curse when he realised they went overtime. "Alright everybody! That's enough for today. Good work and I will see you all next week!"
Eli was walking through the forest as he heard footsteps catching up to him, he turned around and tapped his foot impatiently as his friend caught his breath. "Practice ended 23 minutes ago."
"Sorry bout that, Mate. Got zoned out and lost track in time but I'm here now!"
"Yeah yeah, now let's just find our crystals."
The pair began to search for their runaway gems, they heard a pair of voices coming from further in the forest. Rounding the corner of a few large trees, Max and Eli saw two teens, round bout their ages. One with two buns, brown hair and a theme of purple while the other had pink, long hair and a theme of green. Max couldn't tell what gender the green one was though.
"Finley, are you sure they came this way?"
"Yes! This is where I saw them fly!"
"Excuse me?" Max confusedly called out to the other two, scaring the other pair and making them face towards the males. Eli relaxed as he recognized the two, Max just stood there puzzled.
"Oh hello Eli! I wasn't expecting to run into you in the middle of the forest."
"Hello to you two, Nickie and Finley. Gals, I'd like to introduce you to my friend; Maxwell or Max as he prefers. Max, these are my friends from college; Finley or Fin and Nickie"
Max smiled at the other two as he waved politely to them, allowing smiles to appear on their faces as well. "It is nice to meet you two lovely ladies as well."
Nickie and Eli started chuckling quietly while Max started at them confused again. Finley just stood there, blushing out of embarrassment. "What? Did I say something?"
"Technically yes. You see, Finley isn't a girl... nor a boy.
Max's confusion just continued to grow until a face of realisation replaced it as he looked towards the others with a blush of embarrassment. "Oh... Oh my god, I am so sorry! I thought that- it's just- Ah, nevermind! I'm so sorry for assuming!" He sputtered out profusely, waving his hands in the air as he spoke before covering his ashamed face.
"I-It's fine, honestly. I probably should've worn my badge today but I guess I forgot."
Finley chuckled nervously while rubbing the back of their neck, a little less embarrassed now from the whole ordeal. Max removed the hands covering his face once his ashamed blush had disappeared. "I shall remember that for next time!"
Eli chuckled at his two friends before reminding them all of the topic on hand. "I'd like to get us back to the task at hand please. So why were you two in the forest anyways?" Nickie looked towards her friend, silently asking them if she could say it, smiling at the nod she received. "Well a while ago, Fin and I went exploring around here. While we were taking some pictures, we found these two glowing crystals, Green and Purple. I was honestly meant to take them to you Eli to see if you knew what they were."
Max and Eli just looked at each other with wide eyes. "If your crystals suddenly flew away from you within the past 3 hours, then we can't help." Finley turned their head to the side. "How'd you know that they flew away?"
"We're here for the same reason. Ours flew away just before I went to coaching at the local college."
"So... we all have the same kind of crystal?"
"I guess, except ours were black and red."
"Interesting, you think-"
"OW!!" The group turned their heads to see where the sudden shout came from, figuring out that it came from somewhere towards the biggest tree trunk. Walking towards it, everyone except Max's eyes widened when they saw a brunette sitting on the ground, holding his wrist. "Yuno?"
Yuno turned his head at the call of his name and smiled when he saw his friends from Uni. "Oh hey guys!"
Nickie walked up to the brunette and helped him up, being wary not to touch his wrist. "What are you doing in the forest?" "Well my blue crystal I wore everyday suddenly ripped itself off my necklace and few out the window. I followed it here but this root suddenly appeared and tripped me up." He looked at the others with a puzzled look when they all looked towards each other. "Guys? What's up?"
"Another one..."
"What do you mean another one?"
"We're all here because the same thing happened." Eli explained his and Max's story to Yuno while Nickie explained hers and Fin's story. After he was caught up, the brunette's brain was starting to hurt from all the new information. "So to clear everything up, we all have the same crystal but different colours which suddenly flew away from us around 3 hours ago and they led us here to the forest?"
"Yeah pretty much-"
Eli was interrupted when the ground started shaking, sending everyone to the floor. Rubble and dirt was bouncing off the ground as vibrations were sent through the forest. Rustling from the trees could be heard as the wind had started to pick up. Everyone looked around, a little panicked and thinking that this was some sort of earthquake. "What's happening?!" Nickie yelled in a panic, looking around frantically.
Trees had started to fall down around them like a tornado had just run past them. The large tree that they sat next to started to grow 3 times its original size. The front opened up like a door, revealing what looked to be a wooden elevator. "Guys! Let's get inside the tree!"
With that, the 5 hurriedly got up from the ground and inside the tree, which was surprisingly bigger than they thought. They were shocked to see that there was no shaking inside the large trunk. After a few seconds, the group decided to see if the 'earthquake'. "How do we open it?"
Looking around, Max saw a group of buttons on the wooden bark. He pressed the glowing green one. Instead of opening the door like he hoped it would, the elevator started moving, going down more specifically. "Max, what the hell did you do?!"
"I don't know! I thought elevators that have green buttons normally open the door!"
"What do you mean?! Green means go!"
The group had no choice than to wait til the lift stopped to see where this adventure would take them, not realising that the next few minutes would change the rest of their lives forever...
