Chapter Thirty-Seven: Time for a Bite
It was late at night when Sean had decided to go out for a walk. Though while he was going out for a walk, he could feel something following him. Since he was a power ranger, his instincts had gone into overdrive however, the minute he let his guard down dark angels appeared which outnumbered him. He started fighting them and had high hopes that his ranger buddies would help him. Though they hadn't shown up which meant that somehow the dark angels had gotten around the alarm and were going in for the attack. Sean began to get exhausted as the enemy kicked him in the stomach. The air was knocked out of his lungs as the dark angels grabbed Sean's arms and dragged him away. He tried to fight them off, but he was overpowered. The angels dragged him to the center of a forest and shoved him on the ground.
"Excellent work, my pretties," says a voice. Sean looked up and saw a monster with elfish features and sharp fangs. His eyes widen as he tried to stand up. However, the dark angels had forced him on his knees as the monster approached Sean and grabbed his chin. "Well now, not exactly what I was expecting," she said as her eyes traveled to the lightning ring on his finger. "I wanted the red ranger, but you'll have to do," she says as she examines Sean.
"Don't touch me lady," says Sean as he tried to fight back only the dark angels had held him down.
"Now you'll need to learn your place green ranger," she said. "Force him up!" the dark angels rose and kept a tight grip on Sean. Now that the monster could reach him, she walked behind him and tilted his head to the right. Before Sean could react he felt her bite his neck, suddenly the room felt dark as the dark angels released him and the monster took a step back. Sean collapsed on the ground unconscious and with two bite marks in his neck. "Now then, since our job here is done, it's time we let the spell take hold," The monster disappeared along with the dark angels and reappeared in hell standing before Lucifer and his henchmen.
"Well," says Lucifer. "Is it done?"
"Yes, my lord," says the monster. "Pretty soon, the green ranger will be under my control and he will do whatever I tell him,"
"If you don't mind me butting in," says Azazel. "But haven't we tried this before with the grey ranger?"
"That was different, Azazel," Responds Lucifer. "We used a spell to control Sammy, not to mention we trained him for years until he was ready to attack the rangers,"
"Correct," says Morgana. "This time, with the green ranger being under Vampiress' control, she can tell him to do anything," she continued. "He will also have the same weaknesses as vampires and it takes longer for the venom to turn him,"
"This better work," says Azazel not enjoying every second of this situation.
"There's only one way to find out," says Lucifer as he turned toward the monster. "Vampiress," he said. "head to the human world and attack the humans, strike them down,"
"Yes, my lord," Vampiress snapped her fingers and disappeared from hell into the human world. Sean woke as his eyes briefly glowed red, he sat up and winced in pain. He couldn't remember what happened, but he knew that his neck was really hurting. Seeing that he was in the middle of the forest, Sean started making his way back to the bunker where the other rangers were worried sick about him.
"Sean?" says Mark as Sean entered the bunker looking exhausted and pale. "Whoa dude, what happened to you?"
"I don't remember," says Sean as he rubbed his neck. Dean and Sammy noticed the circular punctures in Sean's skin and looked at one another like they knew what was going on. "All I remember was getting attacked by the dark angels and then nothing,"
"Why didn't you send for help?" questions Sam.
"I thought I could handle them,"
"Sean, even if you could, we work together as a team," says Katrina. "We won't let anything happen to one another,"
"Right," says Sean as the alarm went off, making the rangers race to the front to figure out what the problem was. When they looked at the camera, the rangers saw that Lucifer's monsters were attacking during the night.
"Seriously?" asks Tara. "Now they're attacking at night?"
"Either way," says Mark. "Let's go stop them!"
"You guys go ahead," says Dean. "Sammy and I will meet you there soon," the rangers nodded and left the bunker. Now seeing that they were alone, Dean turned toward his brother.
"You saw that too right?" asks Dean as his hunter instincts kicked in.
"You mean, Sean's pale skin and the two puncture wounds in his neck?" questions Sammy.
"Yes," says Dean with a worried expression.
"Looks like it's back to old times right?" asks Sammy but Dean held his hand up knowing very well what his brother was about to say. He and Colby had picked this ranger team and he wasn't about to let this thing slip from his hands like what happened to his brother so many years ago.
"No," answers Dean. "We aren't going to kill Sean because of those puncture wounds, we need to figure out what happened," he continued. "Now let's go meet up with the rest of the rangers," Sammy nodded his head not wanting to make his brother mad they left the bunker and went to go join with the rest of the rangers. As soon as the rangers arrived on the scene in full suit, they saw the monster with elfish features and sharp fangs. Sean knew all too well what was happening. Catching the monster off guard, Dean shot at the monster as she cried out and turned around with a loud growl she saw who she was dealing with.
"Ah yes," says the monster. "Rangers, I've been expecting you,"
