Chapter Sixty-Eight: Final Battle?

"What's that?" asked Sam. "And how's a box going to help us with saving Amy?"

"This box is called the Cubile Animus," spoke Dean as he sat it on the counter. "This should help us bring Lucifer out of Amy and into the box,"

"That's great and all but what do we do after? We can't just keep Lucifer in our bunker," Says Sean. "He'd find a way to get out and steal the colt,"
"That's where we have to use a spell," answers Dean. "We use a specific spell, and the ground will open up, after that all we have to do is toss the box into the hole which should send Lucifer into his cage,"

"We have to be close enough to do it," said Sammy reluctantly. While the other rangers talked, Tara had arrived at Mark's room and knocked on the door.

"Go away!" Mark called out still slightly angered by a near defeat.

"Mark," says Tara. "It's me, Tara, let me in," Tara waited for a little bit until she heard shuffling coming from the other side of the door. Mark arrived at the door and pulled it open, he had been trying to stay strong, but Tara could tell he was upset. "Do you mind if I come in?" she questioned. Mark reluctantly moved aside so Tara could enter. Once inside, he closed the door and went back to his bed lost in thought.

"What is it Tara?" he asked.

"Mark is this about Amy?" questioned Tara. Mark didn't answer, "So it is about Amy,"

"I screwed up Tara," says Mark. "I should have been able to protect Amy just like I should have been able to protect Ethan,"

"You know that you couldn't have done much," says Tara. "But you did save Ethan, he would have been dead had it not been for you,"

"But now Amy was targeted," said Mark. "Why do you follow me?"

"What do you mean?" questioned Tara.

"I mean, why do you follow me as the leader? If anything, Dean is more of a leader than I am," answered Mark. "I can't seem to protect everyone,"
"You may not know it Mark, but you are probably the bravest ranger I know," she said. "You've led us through this entire mission when we were scared the first time, you took the lead and led us into battle," Tara continued. "Without you we would have lost it,"

"But" spoke Mark as he was about to say something else Tara held up her hand.

"Don't start," she said before Mark could finish his thoughts. "Right now, we've got a mission to take care of," right on cue, Sean entered the room and saw Tara and Mark talking. Sean cleared his throat to get their attention as they turned around to face their friend and teammate.

"Dean has figured out how we could defeat Lucifer," he said. With their attention grabbed, Tara and Mark left his room and made their way back downstairs at the same time the rangers looked up at the three of them coming down.

"Good," says Sam. "You're here, Dean and Sammy came up with a plan to defeat Lucifer and it involves the Cubile Animus,"

"A what?" says a confused Mark. "What's a Cubile Animus?"

"A nest of souls," says Dean immediately as he held up a box with markings on it. "This box should be strong enough to trap Lucifer then we can send him into his cage,"

"What's the plan?" asked Mark.

"Simple," says Sammy. "Six of us will distract Lucifer while one of us, mainly me, sneaks up and traps Lucifer in the box," he continued. "Once Lucifer is trapped in the box, I will say a spell and a hole should open up which will allow us to send Lucifer back to hell where he belongs,"

"Then what are we waiting for?" asked Mark. "Let's go stop a bad guy!" Meanwhile back at the abandoned building Amy, Azazel and Morgana were discussing a plan when Amy went silent and looked at her hench men.

"I'll deal with the rangers," says Amy. "You two should go back to hell and get ready for a full-blown invasion," she continued. "Once I get my hands on the colt I will open the gate and we will begin our invasion immediately,"

"I really feel that we should go with you, your majesty," suggested Azazel as Amy glared at him.

"Don't argue with me, I can handle the rangers better than either of you can," she said. "After all I nearly defeated them in the first place," Morgana and Azazel were about to say something when the look on Amy's face said something else. Reluctantly, Azazel and Morgana disappeared and started making their way back to hell. When they had disappeared, Amy disappeared and reappeared in Los Angeles at a park and summoned the Dark Angels to appear before her. The citizens screamed in terror as they ran for safety. "Now where are you rangers?"

Suddenly as if her questions were answered around her the dark angels were shot and destroyed by six weapons while others survived and surrounded their commander. Amy growled

as she looked to see where the attack had come from, as it turned out the rangers had arrived fully morphed, but she only counted six. She guessed that one of the rangers decided to stay hidden rather than risk defeat.

"Well, well," says Amy. "The rangers finally show their faces,"

"We'll give you one more chance," says Mark. "Let Amy go, or we'll force you to leave her,"

"What are you going to do about it you colorful heroes?" questioned Amy. "You can't attack me without attacking Amy,"

"That's a risk we're willing to take," says Sean who got ready to attack.

"Ah yes, Sean McLoughlin, the green ranger," said Amy. "I know all about you,"

"You know nothing!" spoke Sean.

"Guys," says Dean. "Don't let her get to you, she's trying to get inside your head,"

"Don't think I've forgotten about you Dean Michael Winchester," she spoke. "I know all about you especially since the last time we tangled,"

"Enough talk," spoke Sam. "I think it's time we fight,"

"Fine by me," agrees Amy. "Attack!" she exclaimed as the dark angels started to fight the rangers. Still fully morphed, the rangers fought back knocking each enemy down without breaking a sweat. At this point they had gotten used to battling evil and weren't going to give in to defeat that easily. The rangers before them never gave up, so why should they? They fought using everything they knew about taekwondo or any other martial arts battle techniques.

"Mark!" exclaimed Sean. "Go get to Amy! We can handle these winged creatures," to prove his point Sean kicked back and knocked the Dark Angels down. Mark nodded his head as he ran at Amy and at least once jumping over a group of dark angels.

"Thunder Mace!" Mark exclaimed summoning his weapon, he sliced down at the same time Amy called on a sword and fought Mark like he was about to stab her. Amy blocked easily as Mark continued to strike and pushed her up against a tree with as much strength as he could muster. "Amy, I know you're in there, let me help you!" Amy broke free and struck Mark in the chest, Mark landed on the ground and rolled. He stood back up not willing to accept defeat at the same time Amy attacked him, this time he was the one trying to counter.

"When are you ever going to learn Fischbach? Amy Nelson is dead!" she exclaims. "She was weak, weaker than you!" a kick to the stomach.

"No," says Mark. "Amy is not weak, neither am I!" he exclaims as he put in all his strength into the battle. While he fought out in the corner of his eye he could see Sammy getting close to Amy. Trying his best to keep Amy distracted, Mark kicked her in the chest sending her landing on the ground.

"Wrong! She didn't fight me!" exclaims Amy when suddenly he sensed that Mark was up to something and turned around to see Sammy trying to use a box, a laugh escaped her lips as she turned toward Mark. She put her sword up and summoned most of her power, at the exact same time she sent beams toward Mark and Sammy. The beam struck Sammy in the hand sending the box into the air. Sean had noticed and used his weapons to strike down some dark angels, jumping into the air, he kicked the box directly to Mark.

"Mark!" exclaims Sean, causing Mark to look up and see the box flying through the air. He jumped up and tried to grab it only to feel a sudden gust of wind hit him and sent him back. The box landed in the bushes where Sammy could easily reach it.

"Really?" says Amy, as she brought her hand down. "The Cubile Animus? You think you can trap me," she continued. "Nice try Mark but I won't go down that easy," Amy pulled her sword out once again and started walking toward Mark who was laying on the ground, using his Mace, Mark placed his weapon on the ground and started to stand up. Before Mark could attack however, Amy's eyes turned from black to brown and for a moment she looked like the real Amy.

"Help me," says the real Amy. "Do something, while he's weak!" Sammy nodded his head as he grabbed the box and started reciting a spell, the box glowed a bright pink light as it struck at Amy. Amy cried out as Lucifer was starting to be forced out of her body, Mark tried his best to hold her so that she wouldn't collapse.

"No!" says a voice that was most certainly not Amy's. "I won't go down! Not like this!" with Lucifer starting to be brought into the box the rest of the rangers finished off the last of the dark angels as they either disappeared or were destroyed. The rest of the rangers went to join to help their friends. The pink glow on the box got bigger as black smoke started to get pulled into the box. "This isn't over rangers! I will be back!" with the last of those words Lucifer was pulled into the box making Sammy close the box before Lucifer could find another way to escape. With Lucifer out of Amy's body, Amy had collapsed unconscious in Mark's arms. The rangers dimorphed as Mark looked at Amy with worry, Sammy walked to the center of the park where he started reciting another spell which caused a large hole to appear. Once the hole was big enough, Sammy threw the box into the hole making sure that it was going to land in the cage. When the box was thrown into the hole, it had closed up leaving nothing but green grass as if there wasn't a hole in the first place.

"Don't worry," says Dean. "She's just unconscious, we should bring her back to your house,"

"Will she know what I am?" asked Mark wondering if his girlfriend knew about his ranger powers.

"No," Answers Sammy as he made his way over to his brother and friends. "Possession can do a lot of things, but unless she was conscious throughout the entirety of it," he continued. "Then she won't remember anything,"

"Okay," said Mark as the rangers brought Amy back to the house.

"I'll go with him," says Sean "We'll meet you guys back at the bunker," the rest of the rangers nodded their heads as they left the park. Meanwhile, back in hell Morgana had been watching the entire thing and laughed evilly to herself.

"And here I thought that Lucifer was strong enough to take them on," she said. "I guess I was wrong,"

"What are we going to do now?" questions Azazel. "The boss has been defeated and we still don't have the colt,"

"Who says we've been defeated," answers Morgana. "Besides, Lucifer isn't gone permanently," an evil smirk appeared on her face as she turned to face Azazel. Azazel looked at Morgana with a confused expression on his face. "Please Azazel, you think I wanted to help that fallen angel?"

"Wait a second," says Azazel. "You've had this planned all along haven't you?"

"Lucifer may have been defeated," says Morgana. "But that just makes my plan so much easier," Azazel wasn't sure where she was going with this. The rangers had defeated Lucifer and yet here he was still talking to a witch who had failed at killing the famous king Arthur.

"Meaning?"

"I'm the new ruler of hell, at least until Lucifer is back on his feet," she said.

"You can't seriously think you'll be able to deal with the rangers?" said Azazel. "You didn't even defeat Arthur back then! You let someone kill you!"

"Don't you DARE bring up my past you imbecile! You answer to me now!" she exclaimed. "And as for the rangers, they can celebrate their victory, but that victory will not last because I will do everything in my power to defeat them," she continued. "I will make sure to get that colt and Lucifer will promote me whereas you will be demoted, unless you want to help me out,"

"As you wish," says Azazel who did not want to be demoted. "But don't think this means we're friends Morgana,"

"Certainly," she responds and took a seat on her new throne. Mark and Sean arrived at Mark's house where they laid Amy down on the couch where they started to take care of Amy until she could finally wake up. At the bunker, the other rangers were completely stoked that Lucifer was defeated, however, not everyone was down for celebration. For Dean, he felt like there was something more to this. Morgana and Azazel hadn't been defeated heck he didn't even see them on the battlefield. Dean tried his best to hold down the bile that was about to rise to his throat as he couldn't shake the feeling that something else was bound to happen in the next month.

"Don't celebrate too soon," says Dean as he looked at the other rangers who were getting ready to celebrate their victory.

"Why not?" questions Sam.

"Because, I have a feeling that this is just the beginning," Says Dean.
