"HIYA! HA!"

A voice grunted out as someone stood outside in a backyard, running through several martial arts motions. It was revealed to be a boy of 14 years with spiky, crimson hair, bright red eyes, and a light-skinned complexion. He wore a red T-shirt, red wristbands, black jogging pants as he continued on with his training. This was Sora Ukashi.

"Rah!" Sora grunted out, doing a punch move, then a block move, then another punch move, then pulled his hands back, putting his left fist on the palms on his right hand. He then held his left up in a block motion, before leaping backwards to peform a high spin kick into air.

Upon landing back on the ground, Sora sighed out loud as he wiped the sweat from his brow.

"Sora!" A voice belonging to a woman had called out from within the house, before sticking her head out the house door to reveal her medium length, raven hair and hazel eyes. "Sora, come on!" She called out. "You've got school today, remember?"

Sora stopped his training and looked over to the woman. "Hey, Mom..." The boy let out a groan, "Do I have to go? I'm in the middle of my training..." 

The woman, now Serena, leaned against the door with a hand on her hip. "You can train on your own time later, but today is a school day." she said, "That and I made your favorite~"

".....Pancakes and bacon?"

"Extra crispy." 

A sigh came from Sora's lips as he waved his hand, "Okay, okay. I'll get ready." 

"Make sure you take a shower too!" Serena said before heading back inside the house. 

Around the age of four, all the kids around Sora's age started to awaken to their powers, except for Sora. After a while all of his classmates had their quirks but he was the only one with no powers. So Serena explained it was because he was Quirkless. It was shocking for him to learn that he was over 20% of the population that will never have a quirk. And if being quirkless wasn't bad enough once Sora's classmates found out they started to treat him differently.

The other kids would make fun of him for being quirkless, most of them would avoid him and stop talking to him, some bullied him by playing pranks on him, and if there were group activities or field trips, they would ignore him. Things didn't get any better when he started Middle school. Just like pre and elementary school when people found out he was Quirkless, they treated him like a outcast that didn't belong there.

After retrieving his phone from the ground, he started to stretch out his hands. "Okay, time to get ready."

Several minutes later....

After showering and preparing for school, Sora now wore a black gakuran uniform with yellow buttons. His jacket uniform was open wearing a red plain shirt under his jacket, accompained by white sneakers. Now fully dressed, he grabbed his backpack and phone before making his way to the dining room for breakfast.

Entering the dining room, he saw his adoptive mother watching the morning news and eating her breakfast.

"Morning, Mom." He says getting his aunt's attention and she stops eating, turning throws her son saying good morning.

"Morning. You should eat before you breakfast get cold." She said returning to her meal.

"Right." The brunette said nodding to his aunt. Walk to the table, sitting down, putting his bag on the ground next to him, & started to eat his breakfast.

This is was Sora's adoptive mother Serena Ukashi, she was 29 years old.

It all started back when he was a baby, as his real mother had died tragic incident. So, Serena took him in and raised him as her own. 

She was a caring woman who loved Sora above all else. She is very loving towards him but knows when to be strict and firm when necessary. After graduating high school, she went on to join the Police Force and became one of the best female officers around.

"So, I'm assuming you sleep well?" Serena said well drinking her morning coffee.

"Like a king laying on a pillow of clouds." Sora joked as he ate his food.

Serena smiled at this. "I see. Considering the fact you were up early training again." She said putting her mug down.

"Well, what can I say? Martial arts is my passion." Sora said with a small grin on his face.

Growing up, Sora loved martial arts and enjoyed training every moment he had. It helped him forget about him being quirkless and because it was for self defence.

Serena just slightly laughed at her foster son, knowing his love for martial arts. Hell, he won his first black belt when he was eight and he taught classes at the Youth Center. Despite this, she couldn't blame Sora for using it to escape reality. They lived in a superhuman society where quirks are everything and people like Sora had a hard time fitting in despite not having any powers of their own. Not only that but he lost his parents at a young age, which was why she took him in and raised him. But she knew he was a strong & good kid, had good grades, and was respectful to others. So she knew he was doing fine for himself.

Soon, Sora had quickly finished up his breakfast and went to the kitchen to put his dirty dishes in the sank. He then went back to get his bag, put it on his back, and headed straight to the front door. Putting on his black and white high top sneakers reaching his right hand to the door knob. Before opening the door, Sora turned his head.

"Ok, I'm heading out! Later, Mom!" Sora called loud enough for his mom could hear him.

"Be safe, kiddo!" Serena responded back.

With that, Sora opened the front door walked outside, closed the door behind him and made his way to school.

Musutafu Streets- Morning

Sora was walking down the street with his hands in his pocket making his way to school. The sun was out, bright blue sky's, and birds are creeping...just any other day.

"Man, I'm tired." The brunette said with a yawn. "I just hope today won't be a boring one." He said to himself taking a turn around a corner.

"Guys! Guys, you guys aren't gonna believe it!" Sora blinked before looking to the side to spot a student running towards a small group.

"Whoa, what's gotten into you, dude?" Another teenager asked.

"Kamui Woods and Death Arms are fighting against a villain! It's just a block from here!"

"No way! We should go check it out! The school can wait!" A female student said excitedly. Everyone voiced their agreement before they went in the opposite direction.

Sora sighed as he shook his head as he just kept walking. This happened every day, whenever there was a hero vs villain fight going on in the streets, people would rather forget all about their jobs or duties just to be in the presence of their idols. What they never learned was that they risk themselves getting hurt if something goes south, but even if they did, they wouldn't stop meddling.

Once again, this was a reminder that nothing had ever changed even after ten years. These so-called heroes still always cared about fame and glory, and sometimes they even steal someone's spotlight just to make a name for themselves. Sure, they have the duty to protect the city and its people, but sadly that's just the second thing they care about.

Sometimes, he still wondered if he really wanted to become a hero. If he didn't, then what would be his purpose in this life?

"Sor!"

"Huh?" Before Sora could turn around, a weight slammed into his body as an arm around around his neck. he nearly stumbled forward, but managed to keep his footing. Turning his head, he gained a deadpan gaze as he saw who it was. "Oh, hey Kiba."

"That's my name!" Kiba said with a toothy grin on his face. He was a young boy with of average height with short, spiky golden-colored hair and blue eyes as he too the same school uniform as Sora. "Dont wear it out!"

This was Kiba Mason, a student of Okani Academy and a best friend of Sora's. Not to mention...he, too was Quirkless. Though, he considered himself as the 'Comic Relief' type of guy.

Sora rolled his eyes at the remark, before blinking at something. "Let me guess, you left the others behind again, didn't you?"

Kiba snickered. "Like a hare in a race!" He replied, holding up three fingers. "But they should be approaching in three...two...one..."

"There they are!"

"Ahh, there's the sugar!" Kiba laughed as the duo turned around and saw three figures running towards them, all around their age. They too, were students of Okani Academy and Sora's other best friends.

One was a beautiful teen girl with short, seafoam green hair, tied up into low ponytails with some shorter strands hanging above her eyes. She had a toned, yet curvy athletic build, dark green eyes, fair skin and was currently wearing a black, long-sleeved sailor girl uniform and skirt. This was Reina Fukuado, resident athlete of Okai and younger sister to Emi Fukukado, known professionally as the Smile Hero: Ms. Joke.

The second figure was a teen boy light blue hair sectioned in three layers, his grey eyes positioned between the three bangs closest to his face and behind a pair of round-lensed glasses. Like Sora and Kiba he also wore a plain black uniform with yellow buttons, accompanied by white sneakers. This was Cyrus Hado, a stereotypical geek of anything tech related and younger brother to Nejire Hado.

The last one was a a another beautiful young woman of average height and  a voluptuous figure most girls would kill for. She has large round, pale green eyes with long eyelashes and a small beauty mark beneath each of them. She had long, light pink hair, which she wore in two thick braids. She has five shorter, choppy clumps hanging over her face as voluminous bangs. Like Reina, she also wore a black, long-sleeved sailor girl uniform and skirt. This was Auymi Suzuni, a sweet and graceful gymnast, musician, and cheerleader.

The five of them didn't fit into any group other than themselves. In fact, most of the students at school basically ignored their prescene as if they didn't exist. 

 But none of them cared about that. Even if they were isolated from the rest of the students just because all five of them were Quirkless, didn't mean they would care about every single weird gossip or lie that was spoken behind their backs. Although, there have been times where guys would try to hit on Reina and Ayumi for being the hottest girls in school, to no success.

Yeah, you read that right. Like Sora...Kiba, Reina, Cyrus, and Ayumi were all born Quirkless. Despite all of that, they were just finally glad to get away from that hellhole since next week was gradutation day.

Once they reached the duo, Reina looked at Kiba with annoyance. "You know, I'm getting tired of you leaving us behind. We're going in the same direction!"

"That's my plan in a nutshell." Kiba shrugged teasingly. "But hey, I knew you guys would caught up and you did! Silver lining."

"Why, you...-"

Sensing conflict, Cyrus stepped in between them. "Hey, whoa! Come on, guys. We're all friends here, right?"

"Hmph! You're lucky this time." Reina scoffed.

Ayumi then looked over at Sora. "Hey, Sora!" She greeted with a warm, cute smile. "How'd you sleep?"

Sora's cheek turned slight red at this. "Y-Yeah. Hey, Ayu," He said back, rubbing his head. "I slept pretty good. Well, as good as any teenager who has school today can get."

"Yeah, preaching the choir on that..." Reina added in, folding her arms. "I even tried to faking sickness so I wouldn't have to go, but it was a total bust."

"Ahh, come on, guys..." Kiba joined, putting his arms around Sora and Reina. "Yeah, I'm sure we can all agree that our school is asinine and our classmates are a bunch of supernatural assholes. But look on the bright side, soon we won't have to worry about any of them again.

"Yeah, I guess..." Sora said, looking up at the sky. "Still, I wish something happens today. I wouldn't care what it was."

"I said, get away from me!"

The group stopped immediately when they heard a voice, coming from the alleyway not too far ahead of them. "Was was that?" Cyrus asked, looking forward.

"Sounded like a scream." Ayumi replied, tensing up.

"Well, it sure wasn't a cry for joy," Reina snorted loudly.

Kiba placed his hand on Sora's shoulder. "Looks like you got your wish bro." He added in.

"Come on!" Sora told them as he headed for the alley, the others not far behind.

As they walked forward to the alley and took a peek, he found four men cornering a woman who looked around her early 30's with auburn hair and perpetual pink blush on her cheeks. Sora noticed one of the men had her right arm and had her pinned against the wall.

"Come on, baby. We just wanna have some fun." The first man who wore some piercings on his face sneered as he leaned threateningly closer to her. The girl tried to hit him with her left hand, but he caught it and pinned it to the wall.

"Oh, so you wanna play rough?" A second thug walked up to her. "Fine. We prefer it rough." He then grabbed one of her breasts. The woman started to kick and scream, but the hooligan used his hand to cover her mouth. These guys were going to rape that girl.

"Oh, no. They're trying to molest her!" Ayumi uttered in horror to her friends.

Reina's face  twisted in disgust and anger. "Bastards....!"

"I don't get it. Why aren't there any Pros stopping this?" Kiba asked, looking around for a Pro to stop this madness.

"Probably because they don't care about saving a Quirkless person unless they're being watched by a crowd." Cyrus told him. "That, and I heard that some of the Pros are dealing with a villain attack, right now."

Sora was quiet for minute, before clenching his fist in anger. "To hell with that." He spoke up, getting his friends' attention. "I'm not going to stand by and watch this."

With that, he suddenly moved from behind the corner and ran into the alleway. "HEY!" 

The third thug who wore a beanie hat raised his eyebrow and went up to him. "Why don't you get lost, kid?" He said in a dangerous tone. "This doesn't concern you."

"I think it does..." Sora replied, glaring at the towering man. "Anyone ever tell you to treat women with respect?"

A smug grew on Thug 1's face. He looked back at his friends who were grinning in amusement, while the woman could only feel worried about the browned-haired boy. "Oh, would you look at this fellows? We got ourselves a a brave one here." 

Thug 3 hlooked back at Sora. "Look, kid, it's nice for you to play the Hero, but this is real life. He then reached for the young man's neck."But if you don't want to get hurt then-"

"Kiai!"

With his face full of anger, Sora retaliated by knocking the assailant's arm away before spinning  around and kicked Thug 3 right in the face, launching him backwards and right into a trash can, knocking him out cold. Turning back to the other hooligan, the young teen got into a fighting stance.

"Way to Sora!" Ayumi said in admiration.

"That's my pal!" Kiba grinned widely.

The other thugs were stunned by the boy's abilities, before they decided to let go of the woman and walked towards him with hostility. Thug 2 grabbed a broken piece of plank with some rusted nails, and Thug 1 grabbed a pipe and Thug 4 whipped out a pocket knife.

"Let's go." Reina said, as she and the others got up and then ran up their friend. "Don't even think about it."

"What? More kids!?" Thug 2 said in shock and annoyance. 

"Where the hell are they coming from!?" Thug 4 exclaimed.

Thug 1 snarled at them. "I could care less, you brats better leave now before this gets ugly."

"Yeah... we've never been good at that." Kiba snickered at the man. "Just not in our nature."

"We're not going to let you gang up our friend or hurt that woman!" Cyrus declared, pushing up his glasses.

"....So you really wanna play the Heroes, huh?" Thug 1 sneered and he ran towards Sora and swung the pipe "Okay, we'll be the villains!"

Sora dodged the swipe from Thug 1, and then kicked him in the leg. Sora then spun around and kicked Thug 1 in the back, before he then spun around kicked the man in the face, knocking him down while his friends ran past him to deal with the other thugs.

Reina and Ayumi both ran up Thug 4, as he swung his knife wildly at them, causing them to jump out of the way. He then thrusted his arm out to stab Reina, but the greenette quickly grabbed him by the wrist and twisted it. Thug 4 groaned in pain as Reina turned his arm some more, making him drop the knife.

Before he could recover, the girl slammed an open palm into the man's chest, causing him to double over from the pain. "Ayu!" Reina called out.

"Right!" Ayumi then ran over and then lifted her right leg up before kicking the man in the face, breaking the rapist's nose before he went limp and fell unconscious.

Thug 2 swung his plank weapon at Cyrus, who leapt out of the way as Kiba jumped and kicked him in the side, knocking him back slightly. This allowed Cyrus to run forward and kicked the plan out of the man's hand, leaving him defenseless.

Though before the man could do anything, Cyrus ran up to the man with his fist clenched. "Shoryuken!" He shouted, uppercutting Thug 2, sending him flying a few inches off the ground and knocking him out. "K.O!"

Hearing this, Thug 1 looked back and gaped in shock upon seeing his fellow thugs all sprawled out, beaten by a bunch of kids. "Wha...?"

"Consider that warning," Sora spoke up, getting the man's attention. "Either leave or this will get ugly for you." 

Thug 1 growled in anger as his words spoke back at him. "You're dead, you little punk!" He swung his fist at Sora's head, but the boy suddenly dodged by jumping over him. Backflipping in the air, Sora landed behind his opponent and quickly launched a kick at him in the back. The power caused his kick to send the thug off his feet and slam into a pile of trash nearby.

Seeing that the fighting was now over, Sora let out a sigh while his adrenaline lowered. "Thanks for the warm up, guys. Really needed that." He remarked before looking at his friends. "Everyone okay?"

"Yup, yup!" Ayumi chirped, giving him a double thumbs up.

"No sweat." Reina waved him off.

"I could go another round." Kiba said jokingly.

"All good here." Cyrus concluded as he looked down at his hands. "Those lessons really paid off."

Sora smiled at this, when a thought popped into his mind. "How's the Ms.?" 

The teens all perked up at this before looking over at the woman, who looked at them all in shock as she was seated against the wall.

Ayumi then went over to the woman, "Are you okay, ma'am?" She asked in concern, holding her hand out to her.

"Y-yes...I'm a little shaky, though, but I'm fine." Said the woman as she took Ayumi's hand and allowed the girl to pull her up.

"There you go. Nice and easy."  Ayumi said, letting the woman's hands go.

"B-But why would you all risk yourselves to save me when a Pro could've done it?" The woman asked, wondering why this these kids would do something so dangerous.

"We couldn't just sit by and let them do that to you." Sora told her. "It wouldn't been right."

 "If we see someone in need, we help them." Cyrus agreed.

"Think of it as us doing Community Service." Kiba chuckled, folding his arm.

"Plus, we can't stand scumbags like them." Reina uttered.

The woman looked at the teens with a surprised look, before a smile graced her features. "Well then, allow me to say thank you." She said, bowing her head slightly.

"You're welcome, Ma'am." Sora paused, not knowing the woman's name.

"Uraraka. Mai Uraraka." The woman introduced herself. "And your names?"

"Sora Ukashi."

"Cyrus Kuzan."

"Reina Fukukado."

"Kiba Mason."

"Ayumi Suzuni. It's a pleasure to meet you!"

"Likewise." Mai said, before realizing something. "I should probably get home now. My husband and daugther might be getting worried." 

She then ran out of the alleyway, though not before yelling another 'Thank You' to the teens.

"Well, that's that." Cyrus said after a minute.

"Yeah." Sora nodded.

Ayumi's watched then beeped as she look at it and screamed. "AGH! GUYS! WE'VE GOT FIVE MINUTES UNTIL THE FIRST BELL RINGS!"

"WHAT!?" The others exclaimed in shock as they suddenly bolted out of the alleyway, grabbed their bags that they left near the wall and ran full speed to their school.

"ARE YOU KIDDING ME!? TIME WENT BY THAT FAST!?" Kiba yelled loudly.

Reina shouted as she started to run ahead, "DAMNIT! I KNEW WE SHOULD HAVE GONE EARLY!"

The five of them started to run down the block minding the people that were in their way. "OH GOD WE'RE SO DEAD!" Sora yelled, "AUNT SER IS NEVER GONNA LET ME LIVE THIS DOWN!"

"LET'S HOPE WE CAN GET THERE ON TIME!" Cyrus yelled as he held onto his backpack.

Reina picked up her pace as she shouted to the skies, "MAN, IF WE DON'T MAKE IT, I'm KICKING KIBA'S ASS!"

"WHAT THE HELL DID I DO!?" Kiba cried, offended.

"PUT A SOCK IN IT AND RUN!" Sora yelled.

"WE CAN MAKE IT!" Ayumi exclaimed, "WE CAN MAKE IT!"

Okani Junior High - Morning

Needless to say they didn't make it. All five of them received a scolding from the teacher before class began. Both Ayumi and Cyrus had their heads down the most of the time in class before they picked them up eventually due to the teachers nagging at them. It was just halfway through the school day as the students listened more to the lesson; that is except for the group who were all in their own world, with Ayumi drawing in her sketchbook, Reina rolling her pencil on her desk, Kiba staring out the window, Cyrus was writing in his notebook again, and Sora, who looked bored out of his mind.

"It looks like everyone Is here, good. Now before we being homeroom there's the Evaluation Sheets." The teacher said to the class as he hold a number of papers in his hand. "School says I have to give you back those Evaluation Sheets. You were supposed to say what you want to do with your lives..." Then the teacher threw the papers in the air. "Ah, who cares about this? You're all going to apply for U.A. and be come heroes, I'm I right?" He said with a grin on his face.

With that said the classroom erupted into cheers, all the kids started using there powers like they where have time of the lives except for Sora and his friends.

"Yes, yes, yes you all amazing quirk but don't cut loose to much." The teacher calmed down the class. "Well the exam is 10 months away, So you have plenty of time to prepare. I wise you good luck. Now, let's start with a science brain teaser. What species will outlast all others on Earth?" The teacher asked and a girl sitting next to Sora quickly shot her hand up into the air. The teacher gestured to her, "Yes?"

The girl answered, "Insects. They'll survive all the bad stuff we're doing to the environment. Some of them have lots of legs. They'll be the last ones standing."

In the center, Sora noticed Cyrus hand shooting up in the air, as Kiba leaned forward in his seat. "Dude, calm down. You're going to hurt yourself." He snorted, earning a giggle from Ayumi.

"I believe that's wrong," Cyrus said, before the teacher, gestured to him with a nod.

"Yes Hado. You have a different answer."

"Robots. Robots powered by perpetual motion engines." Cryus answered confidence.

Reina merely rolled her eyes with a smile as she muttered. "Dork."

The teacher then zoomed on a certain brunette. "What about you, Ukashi? What do you think is the answer?"

Blinking at the teacher's question, Sora sat up in his desk, simply shrugging, "Honestly, I'd say us humans. If we work together, we can overcome anything...Quirks or not."

Now, everyone's eyes were on the boy as the whole room fell silent. "Interesting..." The teacher muttered in surprise. Sora's friends all approved the answer as they smiled at him.

Just as this was said, all of the other students started to laugh hysterically at the boy's words.

"Are you serious!? Quirks and Quirkless working together!?" A boy laughed loudly.

"No way! That's hilarious!" A girl laughed.

"What are ya, stupid!? Quirkless wouldn't last in a minute in a fight, let alone without Quirks!"

Kiba, Cyrus, Reina, and Ayumi all looked shocked at the comments about Quirkless as the class continued to laugh. That is, until the greenette of the group slammed her hands down on the desk and glared heatedly at them. "What's that supposed to mean!?" She demanded.

"She's right! Lay off of him will ya!?" Ayumi said as she tried to get them to stop laughing, "It's not funny!"

"Well, think about it. We have powers and are able to be heroes while you and the rest of the quirkless are supposed to be the Damsels in Distress!" Another boy commented.

Cyrus got up from his seat as he said, "Hold on, they got rid of that rule. You don't need a Quirk to be a hero!"

"Don't waste your time, Cy," Kiba immediately countered by saying, with a confident smile, "I mean, why would anyone be happy with having such useless Quirks!"

"WHAT WAS THAT?!"

"Alright, settle down!" The teacher ordered as the class became silent. Sora just heard all of comments his classmates were giving him and his friends, But it was nothing new to him since he was used to it. So he just ignored them, focusing on his teacher with his arm crossed.

"Now then, that's the end of homeroom, let's start first period..." And then class starts.

(Somewhere in Space...)

Meanwhile, in the endless, dark vast of space, a massive warship ominously hovered over Earth.

Inside of it, two figures was stomping through the halls before approaching a door. One was a tall, very muscular humanoid feline-like creature in resemblance to a lion. From what can be seen of his body, he is covered in white fur with a mane that reaches his shoulders with a french braid on each side of his face. His outfit consists of a black leotard with red shoulder, black arm warmers, red toeless boots, match gloves and a red and yellow belt/loincloth.

The other was a large, muscular centaur like creature with the upper body of a man and the lower body and legs of a dark blue horse. He had blue skin with dark-colored hair and a long beard. He also wore a golden chestplate and armored gauntlets.

As it slides open, they walked into a central room where a large physical facility or physically dispersed service can be monitored and controlled. There, they saw a figure standing in front of a large window, which a perfect view of Earth.

It was a beautiful woman of curvaceous and slender frame with long white hair, light blue skin, and purple eyes. The left side of her hair was longer than the other and hangs in front of her chest. She had a golden infinity sign shaped hair accessory that covers the back and both sides of her head. She wore shiny, golden earrings. She wore a red and black skin tight body suit that had a v shaped hole around her stomach, and had slits on the bottom half, exposing the bottom of her breasts. She wore a white open leg cape that is jagged at the bottom, and red and black high heels. Lastly, she carried a brown spear which had two sharp golden points on each end.

"Ahh, Ernesh. Igeron. I see you both have returned," The figure spoke in a smooth feminine tone of voice.

The lion creature, now known as Ernesh, then knelt down before the woman. "Yes, Lady Alsatia. And we have brought back some interesting news about this planet 'Earth'." He repsonded in a deep, masculine tone. "It would appear that most of the humans on this plant have gained an ability to develop superpowers, which they called "Quirks". The computer estimated that around 80% of the world's population has one." 

"Is that so...?" Alsatia muttered, not even turning from the window. 

"Tsk, at the end of the day, they're still weak." The centaur creature, Igeron, sneered. "Just send me down there, my Queen, and I'll make quick work of these humans!"

Before Ernesh could scold Igeron for displaying such an arrogant tone, Alsatia raised her hand in a commanding tone. "Well then, why don't we put these Quirks to the test?" she responded. "Igeron, head down with a platoon Batzler Soldiers and give these humans a demonstration."

"As you command." The centaur creature turns around to talk to one of the soldiers. "You there, activate the world warp."

The soldier let out a grunt before, pressing buttongs on the montior. "Humans can't match our strength. I'll swarm this planet and destroy them all!" Igeron said quickly and eagerly.

As her subordinates began to give out orders to the others, Alsatia continued to stare out towards Earth, tapping her spear slowly. "Fear not, little planet..." She spoke as a smile grew on her face and her purple orbs shining with malice. "For I shall save you as I did with so many others."
