FIFTYNINE

Yoongi knows he shouldn't be here, he doesn't know what to say, how to act or be a normal person in general. He feels like he's going to say something weird or offend the elder. Worst case scenario is him vomiting all over Hoseok's shoes when the nerves get too much.

Part of him wonders if he should leave, if he's nervous does that mean that he's hesitating? And if he's hesitating doesn't that mean he should cancel his plan? He wants to support the elder, he really does, but what if he can't? What if he overestimated himself and his ability to be confident enough for the both of them?

Maybe it's him overthinking it, maybe it's him overreacting but he can't get himself to move. Not to knock, not to leave.

This is the moment in which he decides whether his heart is strong enough to handle the disappointment when Hoseok decides he doesn't want to take that leap of faith into a world unknown. Because that would crush him, he really like the man, and rejection like that would hurt. A lot. But leaving things unfinished like this is also a disaster, he hates the place they're in now.

Wondering what could've been, meanwhile unsatisfied of what is.

So despite his fear, hesitation and nerve induced nausea, he needs to do this. Even if it's just to get rejected. At least then he'll know he tried, then the question of 'what if' is at Hoseok's feet. He's willing to get his heartbroken just for a small chance of happiness.

Raising his hand he rings the bell, his heart skipping a beat as hope overtakes a part of the nerves. Hope for something beautiful to grow out of this moment of bravery.

It takes a while before the door is opened only to reveal the man he's been thinking about non stop. The person that has been invading his ever dream, Hoseok.

It's as if all nerves melt away.

When his eyes land upon the elder suddenly he feels brave enough. For himself, for the CEO, for anyone who needs it. He feels as if he could single handedly take on the world.

Because somehow, over time, between the punishments and rewards he fell for the elder. Maybe he's in love, maybe not. It doesn't matter. His heart flutters when he looks at him, he feels stronger, more energised and brave. And as much as he hates the fact that he'll have go fight for the right to hold his hand, to kiss him in public or to even be associated with him in such a way, it's worth it.

Fuck, it's worth it.

"Hey." He breathes, knowing he won't see any emotion. This is the ice King, he'll just have to make his way through layers of ice before he gets to the Hoseok he's come to know.

"We need to talk." He says, staring up into those cold eyes, knowing the emotions behind them. All the ice has melted for him and even when the elder is in his ice king roll, he can see right trough it.

"Do we?" Hoseok asks, raising an eyebrow as he speaks. Looking unimpressed by the sudden appearance of the younger.

"We do."

It's silent for a while. Just the two of then staring at each other when the CEO finally steps aside.

"You get exactly 5 minutes."
