Dick P.O.V

The next day Wally and I were walking around the streets, just taking a noon-time stroll. Hand in hand, just two people in love. It felt so utterly normal that for a moment I felt unbalanced. But I didn't let that ruin my mood. I was having the time of my life. 

So of course, the moment had to be ruined by someone who I hoped to never see again. I first saw him from the corner of my eye, and I started walking faster. Wally, of course, had no problem keeping up, but he did look confused and curious. 

I subtly nodded my head in Damien's direction, he was heading for us. Wally not-so-subtly turned his head and not-so-subtly widened his eyes and gasped. I rolled my eyes and hissed out of the side of my mouth, "Can you be any more obvious?" 

Wally looked at me sheepishly and started acting weird. He talked a bit too loudly, "We were just heading home right Dick?" People gave us weird looks and I wanted to sink into the ground. I groaned softly and said lowly to Wally, "You're right, let's just go home." Putting emphasis on the word "home." Hoping he would get the fact that we would lose Damien on the way to Wayne Manor.

But Damien caught up to us and came right up to me. He grinned charmingly, and I couldn't help but notice how his jade green eyes glittered in the light. Soft and hard at the same time, almost... intoxicating. 

I involuntarily blushed underneath his intense gaze. Wally scowled and tugged on my hand, pulling me closer to him. He growled, "What do you want Damien." He spat, not caring to conceal how much he hated the older boy. 

Damien however, didn't seem fazed in the slightest. He seemed to be enjoying how much he could rile up Wally. He turned his cool yet hot gaze to me. He purred, "Hello beloved, it's been a long time since we have laid eyes on each other." He walked closer, his eyes amused. 

He pouted, "Too long beloved." He stopped in front of me and I felt like I couldn't move. He encompassed my entire vision. I smelled his spicy cologne and felt the warmth of his body. 

I blushed and stuttered, "W-what are you doing here? I want Wally, not you." But my voice was weak and I could feel my cheeks heating up. Wally snarled and tried to shove Damien away, but Damien just sidestepped and Wally stumbled forward.

Damien took me by the hand and led me away while Wally tried in vain to pry Damien off of me. He grinned at me again, his eyes sparkling mischievously with an amused light. I could feel myself blush again, though I didn't want to. Wally just looked furious but wasn't able to do anything about it. 

Wally finally shoved him away and brought me close to him. Without saying a word, he picked me up and he zoomed us away. I soon found myself in Mount Justice. I breathed a sigh of relief and hugged Wally tightly. Letting him know without words that I would always pick him.
