Chapter 6: A Mysterious Surprise
(Roree's Point Of View)
After being teleported away from the village, I blacked out. The last thing I remembered was the magic energy coursing through my veins.
I woke up in a room full of books, like a library. The walls were painted in dark colors, and off in the distance I could hear shouts that sounded like spell casting. I got up and looked at the nearest book. It was titled A Guide To Dark Magic. I then looked at the other books, and realized they were all about Dark magic or how to beat the Light side. I then realized where I was. I was in the stronghold of the Dark Group. That would explain all the books and how the room is painted. I began to look around for a teleporter, but all I could find was a window. Outside it was raining, and many dark wielders roamed outside. I thought that there was no way out, until I remembered my powers. I then quickly opened the window, and jumped out.
The wind did nothing to stop my fall. I was going down too fast, I had no time to react. Then, right as I saw my life flash through my eyes, and all the times with my friends, an outburst of energy rushed through my veins. And then, I realized my feet weren't touching the ground. As I opened my eyes, I saw black and white magic surrounding me. When I looked at the ground, I was levitating. "Oh my god." I whispered, beginning to figure out how to control levitation. I realized the more energy I put into it, the higher I went, vice versa. So I increased the power and flew higher, until I recognized the land as if I were looking at a map. Instead of staying, I flew east, to where my friends were. Soon, I thought, I will see them again.
After flying and landing for a few days, I was about a day's journey from the village. I had to take the long way away to avoid being seen by members of the light and dark. But, as I entered a nearby town, I heard news of my village being hit with a magic battle about a week ago. I was worried for my friends until they said no deaths except for the dark guy being killed. Thank god, I thought. Now all I have to do is stay the night here and the journey is almost over, just less than a day. Soon, I thought, I will see my friends once more, and not on the battlefield.
