Craig/Mini's P.O.V

"GET READY FOR SCHOOL FAGGOT! I DON'T HAVE ALL DAY!" My father shouted at me. I pulled back my fox ears and quickly packed my bag, I had already done everything else. ...Take a deep breath Craig, You're so close to finally meeting people like you!... I got on my coat and almost reached for my hat, but then I smiled as I remembered, won't be needing this today! Then I quickly ran out to old, beat up truck my father got and tried to think of what it will be like to finally meet other 'Non-Normals'!

As we drove to the new school I looked out the window. It was a beautiful autumn morning! The orange and red trees blew softly in the warm breeze. The sun was coming up, casting a golden glow on everything, it looked beautiful to say the least! I thought of my old life/my present life and how much it sucks. I silently sighed. ...Hopefully things will pick up from here...maybe my life will get better...maybe...

We got to the school and I sat in awe at the size of the thing! Power High is a High school and a college rolled into one. On one side it was a High school and on the other, it was a college! I looked at my watch as we walked up to the door and buzzed in. 7:38, Students will be arriving soon! They get here at 8:00! We almost got lost but we got to the office eventually.

"Hello! You must be Mr. Thompson and Craig Thompson!" A friendly looking woman with white cat ears and tail said. "I'm Mrs.Ied, the secretary," I smiled and thought, this is already better than before! "Would you please follow me Mr. Thompson and we can get the sheet you need to fill out for Craig to be enrolled. You can sit down over there sweetie." She pointed to a row of chairs before taking my father into a different room. 

This is nice..much better than 'home'. The waiting area was a light gray and the chairs were all types of pastel colors. "Okay! All finished!" Mrs.led announced. "You can go Mr.Thompson." A huge wave of relief washed over me as my father left. "Now, Craig." She turned to address me. "This is your class schedule. I will have a student come up and show you around once school opens. Follow me and I will show you your locker and give you the combination." She handed me a few pieces of paper and walked out the door. I followed. On the way there, I looked at my watch again. In five minutes students will be arriving! "Okay, this is it." She pointed to a blue locker. it was in the middle of a row, a door with the name, Mrs.Tajzel, across from it. "You should try the combination, just to make sure it works." Okay, 83,67,4. It opened with ease. "Good!" She smiled. "Now let's get back to the office." I tried to memorize my combination as we walked.

(A very small time skip)

"Can Misty Jones come to the office, please. Misty Jones." Mrs.led announced on the P.A. I barely managed to contain my excitement! I'm about to finally meet someone like me!

"Hello, Mrs.led. What do you need me for?" A girl walked in and asked. My heart skipped a beat when I saw the color of her eyes. Deep purple...A SHADOW ELEMENTAL!...and a black cat hybrid but whatever...  If I wasn't excited before, I am now! "Hello, Misty. This is Craig Thompson." Mrs.led and Misty turned to looked at me. I smiled and waved, trying to look like my heart wasn't beating a million miles a second. "He is a new student here. I want you to show him around between classes." Misty smiled at me. "Oh, And I sent a message to your teachers, explaining why you might be a late to your classes." "Thank you, Miss." She turned to look at me.

"Hi! I'm Misty! Nice to meet you, Craig!" I smiled. "Nice to meet you too!" We shook hands. We started walking out of the office. "Can I see your class list for a sec?" "Sure." I handed it to her. "We period 1 2 3 and 5 together." She handed back to me. "First period is math class in Mrs.Exper's room. It's a few minutes walk." She pointed to a group of students down the hall. "It just past them. Anyway, what's your powers? Besides being a shadow elemental/fox hybrid obviously." She looked at my ears and my eyes and giggled. I smiled again. "Well besides that I can shrink and grow on command." She looked at me again,"That is quite a skill set Mr.Thompson!" We laughed. "Anyway, this is it." She leads me to a door with Mrs.Exper written on it. She opened the door just as the late bell wrung. The whole class just looked at us like we just murdered somebody. I kept in a chuckle. Misty went to her seat while I went to the teachers desk. Mrs.Exper smiled at me and stood up. "Class, this is Craig Thompson. He is a new student." I smiled at the class, 27 students if I counted right. " Craig, please tell the class what your power are. "Well, other than obviously being a fox hybrid and a shadow elemental, I can shrink and grow on command." "Okay then. You can go sit next to Snowflake." She pointed to a girl in the back corner with a few empty seats around her.

And because of the glare she just gave me, I sat on the first open seat the farthest from her. Obviously not a people person.

(Time skip through the boring math class.)

*RING* *RING

Okay, one class over and one friend made...doing good. I looked around for Misty, she needs to show me where my next class is. I stuffed my Math shit in my book bag and looked around. huh?  I guess she doesn't mind people that much... Misty and uhh, Snowflake, were having quite a fun conversation by the looks of it. I walked over. "Oh, hey Craig!" Misty said while Snowflake gave the death glare. Her mood changed instantly! Misty saw this and pouted. "Oh don't give him that look! Come onnnnnn, Snow! We have to go show him to our next class anyway so no point in waiting!" Snowflake glared at her before getting up. "Let's go." She said in a gruff tone.

 They got their health textbooks from their lockers, I still needed to get mine from Mr.Trez. We entered the room. They went to go take their seats while I got my health class shit from Mr.Trez and walked to an empty seat. "Well class, today we will be learning something pretty interesting." My fox ears perked up instantly. ...what could this be about?...

"You probably don't this, unless at least one of your parents are 'Non-Normals', but at the ages of 14+, you will get a new power." Wait, what?! I'm going to get a new power soon?! Fuck yeah! I looked at my classmates, most had the expression as I did, happy, surprised and excited. One student caught my gaze and I quickly looked back in front of me, but I don't know why. ...He wasn't intimidating or anything... just a force of habit I guess... From what I saw he was wearing a rainbow tank top and blue pants with checkerboard shoes, an odd combination. I didn't see what his power/animal parts was.

"I see you're excited." He smiled. Now I noticed his pink eyes. ...Hmmm, a healer. Fitting for a heath class teacher... "Now, take out your textbooks and turn to page 374 where we will learning about this phenomenon." ...I get to learn about 'non-normals' for a change? Awesome!...

(Time skip)

The class got up and went out the door. I stood up and was about to go over to Misty, but the kid that caught me looking earlier came over. "Hey, I haven't seen you around here before. Are you new? My name is Brock or Moo." He smiled kindly. 

I smiled right back. "Yes, I'm new. My name is Craig. Nice to meet you!" "Nice to meet you too! I would like to talk more but I gotta run. Can you sit with and my friends at lunch?" He asked with a hopeful look. "Sure! Thanks!" He smiled brightly. "Great! Talk to ya later!" He bounded out the door. I walked out after him while putting my health stuff in my bag, and Misty was waiting. "Come on, slowpoke!" Misty said. "I'm coming! Where's Snowflake?" We started speed walking next to each other...even though we didn't need to. "She has different classes. Anyway, next is History with Miss.Writte! I love History!" I nodded and waited for her to get her History stuff out of her locker. ...I wonder...will it be history about 'non-normals'...or about 'normals'?...probably both...

(Time skip till lunch.)

I put my book bag full of class shit in my locker and went to the cafeteria. I can organize it later.

I got my tray full of food and looked around for Brock. I saw him and he started waving me over. I saw everyone in the cafeteria looked at me as I neared towards the table. I ignored them. 

"Hey, Craig!" Brock called. His friends gave him a weird look. "Heya, Brock!" I replied. He stood up and gently pulled me over and made me sit next to him on the edge."Brock, who is this?" a guy in a blue hoodie and hockey mask asked. ...This is what you get when you have free dresscodes...people in hockey masks...then again I am wearing sandals with a suits so I should shut up..."This is Craig. I met him in health class." Brock explained.  "Hi!" I said shy yet excitedly. This is the first time I've been near a group of people without them shouted insults at me! Yay! "Tell us what your powers are! Well, besides the obvious ones." He chuckled a bit, poking my fox ear. "Well, besides being a shadow elemental and a fox hybrid, I can shrink and grow on command." They all smiled. This might be the first time I've made a group of friends!  "Well, guys, introduce yourselves!" He told the others excitedly. "I'm Jonathon, call me Delirious." Said the guy from earlier. Fitting.

"Nice to meet you" I replied. "I have the power of a water elemental and raccoon." I nodded, ...An elemental and a hybrid ...like me.. "I'm Marcel or Basically," Said the only black guy here.

"I gots the power of a night elemental, I got photographic memory and I'm a monkey hybrid. " You could probably see the surprise in my face 'cause the guys chuckled. ...That's certainly a skill set! Wow....photographic memory is rare!

"Anyway, I'm Nogla/Daithi/David." Said a guy that was definitely Irish with a playful hint in his voice.

"I'm an air elemental, a peregrine falcon hybrid and I have super speed" I nodded ...I wonder why he and his family moved to America...there is no way in hell he wasn't born in Ireland...

"I'm Lui and I like gummy wurms!" A guy said in the best squeaker voice I have ever heard! The guys chuckled at my reaction again.

"Hello to you Mr.Lui." I said. Lui playfully saluted me as he said, "I'm a earth elemental, monkey hybrid and I have enhanced hearing". "Next for introducing would be Wildcat then Terrorizer, but they're sick with the flu." Nogla said....Wildcat and Terrorizer ...sounds..interesting...

 "That means it's time for Mr.Leader to introduce himself!" Lui said, playfully elbowing the Asian. "Ha, ha. very funny." He said sarcastically, but in a playful way. "I'm Evan Fong but call me Vanoss. I'm a fire elemental, a great horned owl hybrid and I have super speed." He said, turning to me. Then he held out his hand, and I shook it. 

"Nice to meet you Vanoss, I'm assuming your the leader of this, group?" I asked. "Yeah, I guess." He said. The others nodded with approval. "He did create the Crew after all." Brock said. ...Crew?..."Is their a name for the group or?" "Well, we call ourselves the BBS or Banana Bus Squad, long story or just simply the Crew." He explained. ..Motherfucking Banana Bus Squad?!..dah..fuck?..  "Umm, okay. That name is interesting to say the least." 

*RING* *RING*

"Oh, shit! Didn't realize lunch was over!" Vanoss exclaimed. "Yeah, I didn't either." I said. "Do  you guys want to hangout after school, at my place?" Vanoss asked. I realized happily that meant me as well. "Sure!" We said in unison. My heart is beating so fucking fast. As soon as I stepped out of the cafeteria, Misty pulled me to the side. "How the fuck did you manage to sit at the popular table?!" She asked. "Ummm, I met Brock in health class and he asked me to sit with him and his friends at lunch." I explained. That's why everyone looked at me when I walked over and sat down with them! "Really? That's it? He was always the friendliest one but never like that." She said. "Anyway, 5th period is music class with Mr.kiun. What was your 4th period class?" She asked, walking down the hall. "Science with Mrs.Tajzel." "Oh, she's nice. Anyway we are here." 

(Time skip till after seventh period social studies with Mr.Dism and sixth period art with Mrs.staral)

I put my school stuff in my locker and organized it. I went to the front of the school and quickly got the Crews phone numbers and where the fuck Evan's house actually is then found my dads old motorcycle that my dad dropped of during lunch. When he isn't drunk, he can actually be pretty nice, but that was close to never. I texted him ask if I could stay at his house and he said yes, but text if you want to stay the night. And if you aren't home by 9:00 and are not staying the night, you know the consequences.  I shivered at "You know the consequences" part. ...I know them very well...
