21st March 2020 (Saturday)
Hogwarts

Lily's POV

It is now 10:00 a.m. The train is gonna come in an hour... I am bored now . I'm all packed. Ehh, let's go see what Rose is doing .... and maybe see if Scorp likes her back.
I smirk at my thought. I get up from my bed, on which I had been laying on with my hands under my head.

As I got up and headed towards the dorm door ...

"Where are you going , Lils?" A voice that belongs to my best friend (other than Hugo ) , Zoe Romanoff, asks.
"Just going to go see what Rose is up to, Zo." I shrug normally, half-lying.
"Oh ok, then. Be back soon, we have to go to the train station." She reminds me , shutting her trunk.
"Sure" I assure and leave to visit Rose's dorm.

After a short walk , I reach the Gryffindor common room.

At Rose's dorm

I enter the dorm to see Rose minimising her Firebolt broom , that dad gave her on her last birthday, so that it would fit in her trunk. She is a Gryffindor chaser. Her back was facing me so I decided to scare her. I crept up behind her , signalling her dorm-mates to be quiet . I tip-toe up to her and....

"Hey Lily!" She says suddenly , turning around to face me. She smiles innocently at me.

Uh-Uh . You ain't defeating me just like that, missy.
"Hey , future Mrs.Malfoy" I say with just an innocent smile like hers. Her cheeks flush.

Her friend , Evelyn , who had walked up behind me , hears my comment and giggles.
"Oh , I see what's going on." She says slyly, grinning. "Weasley has a crush on M-!"her shouting gets cut off as Rose covers Eve's mouth. I laugh as the others in the dorm look confused.

"Ok , I am gonna go now. Bye Rose! Bye Eve!" I say and quickly run out of the dorm before Rose could say anything.

Now , where would Scorp be? Hmm. I'll go find Al , he'll know. I run out of the common room and head to the Slytherin common room. Al told me the password in case of an emergency. Oh well.

I reach the common room in the dungeons and says "Ambitiose!" The portrait of some person I don't know , flings open. I enter the common room to see none other than Scorpius himself, sitting on the couch by the fireplace along with Albus, talking with one another.

"Hi Al, Scorp!" I says cheerfully walking up to them.
"Hey Lily" they sync.

I need an excuse.... ahha!
"Rose needs some help , Al. Could you?" I ask him

"Yeah , okay. With what?" He retorts.
"Oh you know her . Can't shut her trunk . Too many books." I shrug casually.

He nods in confirmation and leaves to the door but turns back and says "you coming, Lil?"
"No. I'd like to catch up with Scorpius. Been a while, right , Scorp?" I say turning to face scorp and giving him a look.

"Yeah, we haven't talked in while, Lily! Come on, so what's going on?" He says , smiling , while patting the seat beside him. I smirk a little at him . Not bad , Malfoy, not bad. I go and sit beside him as Al leaves to go to Rose to "help her".

"So what's up , Lily?" He asks me . I could sense a bit of nervousness in his voice.
"The sky, scorp" I say sarcastically. He rolls his eyes and gives me a look that says 'just say it already'

"Do you have a crush on Rose?" I ask directly with a straight face.

His face get as red as a ripe tomato. suits his hair honestly.. I smirk knowing the answer from his reaction.
"Uh- I-I W-Why d-did-" I cut him off not being able to bear his stuttering.
"I get it , Malfoy, chill. You do like her ." I say matter-of-factly. He nods , a small smile on his face .

"How did you know?" He asks suddenly , catching me off-guard.
"Um . Well , you weren't hiding it very well , in the first place... Wouldn't surprise me if Al knew" I lied, shrugging to make it seem casual , while i was sweating on the inside from nervousness. Believe it ! Believe it! Scorp please believe it!

"Oh, I see" he simply said."Do you think she likes me back?"
"Hmm.." I start, looking like I am thinking "I think she does. But I don't know for sure . I mean , a lot of girls have a crush on you , Al and Louis" and I have no idea why! I mean scorpius ? Okay.. he is good-looking . Al? Well he is a potter so yeah. Louis? Wait what does Louis have? I- oh! He is part Veela! Righttt!

He hummed in thought, agreeing to my statement.
"So. When are you gonna ask her out on a date or confess to her?" I question , getting more interested in this.
"Uh. We don't have time to talk right no-"
"There is still 30 minutes and I am pretty sure you are packed already!" I say narrowing my eyes at him.

He gulped. "O-Okay" he continued "I don't know when I will confess , honestly..." he answers sadly. I put a hand on his shoulder.
"You confess whenever you feel ready." I assure him , smiling.

"Thanks for the support, Lils." He smiles back and comments "You know, you are quite mature for you age.."
I punch his shoulder , jokingly. "And strong too!" He says , rubbing his shoulder.
"You know.... I think we need to put you in shape." I say mischievously. "You are a chaser and you are like this" I say pointing at his skinny figure.

He raises his eyebrows. "Hmm. You're right, but how?"
"Potter manor , alternate days , 3 p.m." I inform him, with a smirk. "Oh , don't forget your quidditch gear. I am not going soft , nor am I gonna let my brothers be"
"Yes , ma'am" he salutes . We both laugh.

"See you later!" I say heading to the door of the Slytherin common room.
"See ya later, Lils!"

Meanwhile with Albus
(This is what was happening with albus while scorp and Lily were talking)

Albus' POV
I just visited Rose and guess what? She was NOT struggling with her trunk! She was calmly reading a muggle book , she bored from the library at my house . (Library Paradise! Here I come!)

So here I am heading back to my common room , all the way from Gryffindor tower! Thanks a lot little sis! I was stomping angrily along the empty corridors when I heard a familiar voice.

"Al?" I turn around to see.....
"Oh hey, Uncle Nev!" I greet him cheerfully. He smiles back .
"So" He starts coming towards me "What's my godson so angry about?" He asks , ruffling my hair.

"Meh" I shrug "Just people getting on my nerves like usual" (Relatable Albus, relatable)
"Ah! Good try, Al" he says , raising an eyebrow "I know you well enough to tell when you are not being truthful about how you feel. Now tell me." (I want someone like this uncle 😭)

I sigh.
"Lily sent me all the way from the dungeons to Gryffindor tower for nothing. She lied to me that Rose needed my help but in reality she didn't. I don't know why she had to lie to me like that!" I say it all in one breath. I see my godfather thinking while I pant .

"Calm down , Albus. She will tell you if you ask her , directly." He simply suggests.
"Yeah, you're right" I sighed "Thanks , Uncle Nev!" I grin at him. He smiles back.

Suddenly I remember something. Of course! My birthday! Mum said to invite whoever I want.
"And you're coming for my birthday party, whether you like it or not!" I order sternly , a bit of mischievousness in my intentions.

"Oh no!" He started dramatically "Why should-" . I shake my head and we both laugh.
"Of course Al. I wouldn't miss my godson's birthday for the world." He replies with a big smile. I smile back just as big and hug him. He hugs me back and then we pull away from the hug .

"See you soon, Albus!" The Gryffindor head says heading towards his house's common room.
"See you soon, Professor." I smirk and retort.

As I walk towards my common room quite peacefully than before, I see Lily walking onwards my direction . I walk straight up to her. She smiles innocently at me.
"What's up?" She asks cheerfully.

"Oh you know what. Now tell me why you had to talk to scorpius and that too without me being around" I say firmly , pulling her by her arm to the side of the corridor.
"Well, I am guessing you know about Scorp having a crush on a certain someone?" She asks me cautiously. I nod "Rose" I whisper.
"Yep. That what I wanted to know cuz so does she!" She whisper-shouts.

I check the time on my wrist watch . 20 minutes to 11:00.
"You know what. We can talk more on the train. Let's get going. It almost time it comes" I remind her. She nods and we start running towards our respective common rooms to grab out stuff.

Third person's POV

Soon, all of the students were either in their compartments or searching for a compartment. In one compartment , Rose , Albus , Scorpius , Lily , Hugo , Louis , Dominique , Lucy , Roxanne , Lorcan and Lysander sat , chatting. How so many people sat? Lucy used a spell she learnt to expand the compartment (like the Weasley's Ford Anglia).

"So got any plans for your birthday, Al?" Rox asks , after Al informs everyone in the compartment are invited .
"Well , I do actually. I am thinking of......" Al starts to explain.

~An hour later~

Al had finished telling about his bought some how he was planning to celebrate his birthday. In the middle of his speech , some , that is Lorcan , Hugo , Scorp , and Dom had dozed off . Soon Rose , Lucy and Lysander were asleep too.

Al , then motions Lily to come out with him to talk. Roxanne notices this.
"What's going on?" She whispers, careful not to wake anyone up.
Lily and Albus quietly agree that Rox could join and signal her to come out too.

They tell her about Scorpius and Rose crushing on each other.
"Then why don't we just tell them and they will get together." She says , shrugging.
Albus and Lily give her looks that say 'Are you serious?' 'Really?'
She rolls her eyes .

"We need to get them to ask one another out without telling them something they aren't supposed to know." Albus explains slowly.
"That's how crush and dating works" Lily finishes.
Rox nods in confirmation.

"So I got scorpius to come to our house on alternate days for quidditch practise. I mean , I have no idea how he is on your team." Lily points the last sentence at Albus.
"He was fast..." he answers exasperated. Rox snickers.

They, then, plan for his practice and head inside their compartment. They all were still sleeping . It was still a few hours away for the train to reach London so the three of them slept after doing something mischievous.

~A few hours later ~

Rose's POV

I wake up to some rough movement around me. I open my eyes to see that I was leaning my head on someone's shoulder and their head was on mine, I slowly moved my head to see who it was.

It was... SCORPIUS!?

Uh-oh. What to do? What to do? Whattodo?! I turn my head when I hear a small sound . I see Lily and Roxanne silently giggling and beside them , Hugo and Albus looking at me and scorp with smug expressions . The others were however missing . No Dom, Lucy , Louis , Lorcan or Lysander. Meh. ,it's have gone to another compartment or went for some fresh air. These guys look like they know about my crush on scorpius. Whatever.

I start to lift my head from Scorp's shoulder then I realised something I hadn't till now. His arm is wrapped around me!! Ohhh! Albus and Lily are SO dead. And I am pretty sure it was Roxanne's idea. I glare at the three of them. That's when , from the corner of my eye, I see Hugo smirking. He definitely had something to do with this! I glare dat all of them.

I slowly slide out of his grip , so as to not wake him up, but I fail. Oh shoot! He suddenly opens his eyes just as I get out of his grip and stand up. He looks around obliviously, "what happened? Why are you all looking at me like that?" He asked , yawning.

Before I could answer , Rox replied to him.
"Well , you fell asleep while albus was talking . And you and Rose were...."
His eyes widened as I looked away to hide my blush.

"... kinda cuddled up.." she finished and the four of them smirked at the same time. I gored at them avoiding Scorp's gaze. Ohh! Why did she have to tell him that?! He doesn't like me , obviously. I have to face my fear, eventually anyway. So I turn around to look at him and see him hiding his face in his hands. He's embarrassed that we were found like that.

"Let's forget about it, Scorp." I say trying to get rid of the awkwardness. Speaking of awkwardness, where were the rest of my awkward cousins?

"All right." He says , looking up and smiling at me. That smile which makes my heart soar...

Scorpius' POV

Omgomgomgomgomgomg! This is so embarrassing, they won't let it go for weeks !! Maybe even months!! Now Rose has turned away!! She is definitely embarrassed about that. I mean she doesn't like me that way!

"Let's forget about it , Scorp" I hear her voice say. My heart aches at what she just said.

"All right." I agree , looking up at her beautiful face that always made me smile.

She sat back down beside me . The six of us talked for the rest of the ride. It seems the others had gone to sit with their friends for a while. I had been asleep for 3 hours. With my arm wrapped around Rose! I smiled at the thought.

An hour and a half later , the others came back as the train was going to reach London in 30 minutes .

~30 minutes later~

We all got off the train one after another, as it stopped at the platform . First we see , Lorcan and Lysander's parents, Luna and Rolf Scammander.
We all go and greet them with toothy grins. Mr and Mrs Scammander were the most fun parents among the others . They take us on expeditions in summer, show us different creatures and gives us interesting gifts.

As we all talk to them , all the parents, except mine, arrive. I could see further behind that my mum and dad were looking around for me too. I think about going and calling them here but someone else read my mind.

"Oh! Your parents are here , Scorp. I'll go call them." Lily assures and disappears into the crowd.
"Thanks, Lily!" I manage to shout and I see I little 'thumbs up' sign appear over the crowd. Lily... I shake my head and chuckle.

"Hey kids!" We all turn around to see James with a girl. She looks familiar... wait! She was the head girl two years ago! What was her name..... Mavis, I think.

"Just because you are no longer at Hogwarts, that doesn't mean you can call us kids , James. And for the record , we act more mature than you." Dominique retorted, raising her eyebrow.
"Burnnn!" A few people from our large group say. Probably albus , Louis , Rox and her parents.

"Who is this?" Lily asks , who had just arrived with my parents behind her . They come up to me and hug me , "Hello, son" they whisper in sync . "Hey, mum, dad", I hug them back and we let go , waiting for an answer from James.

"You're Mavis , aren't you? You were the head girl , two years ago." I state , much to the surprise of some people.
"Yep, that's correct!" She answers cheerfully "I'm James's girlfriend, Mavis Black"

We all get to know her quickly as we have to get home. Soon each of us disapparate with our families and our luggage of course. Home , sweet home, I think as my parents and I enter out house.

"Dinner is ready, Scorpius" mum informs me "Refresh and come down quick"
I nod and go up to my room.

After a dinner , where I talked about what happened at Hogwarts the last days, I said good night and went up to my room. I flopped onto my bed and was soon fast asleep.

A very long chapter. Hope it's not too long 😅. I couldn't stop typing lol.
