Ginny's POV

I sighed as finally work was over for today . It was 2:30 p.m. now . Jessica , Maria and Max did well and noted down all of the minister's words. I just checked the finished original copy of tomorrow's newspaper . I put it back on my table and look at it .

Albus and Lily are gonna come back home soon. It is gonna be a long summer.
Maybe I should make mum and dad stay with us . They are old , whether they like it or not . And Lily would really love their company . I am drawn out of my thoughts by a knock on my office door.

"Come in!" I say loudly.

Jessica enters the office . I smile at her .

"Mrs. Potter , I am here for the newspaper. Are there any changes to be made ?" She asks me .

"No, Jessica, it is perfect. You can take the newspaper and give it to the printing section." I say with a smile and hand it over to her .

"Okay ! And there are some articles that you need to check that will be published later on in the Daily prophet . Should I bring those in?" She says .

"Yes, please"

"Be right back then" she replies and leaves.

Soon she is back with some articles in hand .

"Here you go , Mrs. Potter" she says while coming towards my table .

I get up from my chair and ate them from her . "Thank you , Jessica!"
She nods happily and leaves.

~Later~

Harry, James , Teddy and I usually go home at the same time , 4:00 p.m. So here I am , waiting with James at the fireplaces for Teddy and Harry to arrive . Just then I see my dad coming towards us.

"Hey grandpa!"
"Hey dad!"

"Hello, Ginny , James" he beams .

"So , dad , heard you are retiring." I start.

"Retiring?" A voice says . We turn towards the voice to find Percy and Aubrey.

"Yes, kids. I am retiring. Just gave in my letter today!" He says happily.
"Good for you , Arthur" Aubrey says her and Percy smiling .

"Yeah Ron said so" Harry and Teddy just joined us .

"Am I the only clueless person here ?!" James cries out .

"Nope! Me too , cuz" Molly says from behind James , looking surprised. When did she get here?

"About Arthur retiring?" Hermione says suddenly appearing with Ron .

"Yes , Aunt Mione" Molly replies nodding her head .

"Well , mum only sent my brothers and I letters.." I say shrugging.

"Anyway Arthur , do you and Molly want to spend some time at our house . The kids would like that." Harry says . I heard you thoughts , gin , I hear him in my head.

"But-"
"The kids-"
"Are-"
"At-"
"Hogwarts." Arthur , Percy , Aubrey , Ron and Mione , say one after another. The rest of us laugh a little at this. (I love messing with them 😂)

"You'll find out tomorrow, guys" I say "anyway let's head home"

~2 hours later~

James' POV

6 o'clock. Mavis is gonna come now- crack! I hear knock, knock, knock. I hurry to the door and open it to see my beautiful girlfriend's blue eyes . I see her wearing :

"Hey beautiful" I smile at her and say.
"Hi handsome" she retorts . We both chuckle and hug each other.

"I missed you, Mavis. I mean seeing your face." I say hugging her tighter.
"Me too , James , me too"she says, her nose buried in my shoulder.

I pull away from the hug and kiss her. She is a bit shocked but returns it. We pull apart and grin at each other .

"I thought Mr. Potter had forgotten how to kiss~" she says teasingly, that makes me want to just-

"Hello! You must be Mavis" I hear dad say as he enters the living room with mum.

"Yes. Hello Mr. and Mrs. Potter" she says putting her hand out to shake dad's hand.

"Oh! We'd not do that here dear" mum states "we do this" and she gives Mavis a big Weasley hug. I inwardly cringe as dad chuckles.

Mavis looks shocked but soon hugs back . She is the kind of person who gets comfortable with a surprise-situation very quickly. That is one of her traits that I love...

Mum , let go of Mavis and now dad hugged her but just not as tight as mum. Just as dad let go of the hug , Teddy came down . He looked at the four us with no expression then blinked a few times.

"Oh! You're Mavis! I saw you in James' dr-" he begins as if suddenly getting what was going on.

"Mavis! This is my godbrother , Teddy!!" I say loudly so that Teddy can't finish his sentence.

"Yeah I know James, he was headboy in our second year. Hufflepuff, right?" She says matter-of-factly.

"Yep" Teddy replies.

"Come on , Kids , dinner's ready!" Mum says cheerfully.

Third person's POV

At dinner , they got to know each other; well more like know about Mavis.

(me: I mean Harry and Ginny are famous! Who doesn't know them?
Also me : MUGGLES
Me again: shut up will you? You are ruining my reputation
Me AGAIN: you don't have one!)

"So Mavis , do you play Quidditch?" Ginny asks her. Her face visibly lights up.

"Yes, Mrs. Potter. I was a Gryffindor chaser!" She answers .

"So was I , while in Hogwarts !" Ginny says excitedly .

"You are my role model , Mrs. Potter. I have admired you all my life! I want to be a Quidditch player actually" Mavis explains "Meeting you and Mr.Potter is huge for me and not just because you are James' parents." She grins at them.

Harry and Ginny smile at her and think at the same time: she is a nice girl.

Harry and Ginny glance at each other .

"So I am guessing the Holyhead Harpies is your favourite team in the league?" Teddy asks her .

"Yep!" She says

"Then why don't you take the trials to join the Holyhead Harpies?" Harry questions her .

"Well, my name doesn't start with 'G'...." she trails off.

"I think I can help!" Ginny says smiling cheekily at her. "Gwenog Jones and I are friends. I bet she can make an exception and see your skill."

"Really?! Wow. If you could do that , I would be very grateful to you , Mrs.Potter" Mavis replies excitedly.

"Call us Ginny and Harry , Mavis . You are now part of the Potter's." Ginny says grinning at Mavis.
"Well you will officially become one in some time anyway" Harry says winking at James and Mavis making them blush .

"Dad!!" James shouts.
The others except Mavis laugh.

"So we didn't ask this question till now, How did you two fall for each other?" Harry asks curiously.

"Well it was more like fell ON each other" Mavis says giggling. The adults lift an eyebrow asking to elaborate.

"Well we met in fourth year....."
