Albus Potter pic above 🔝 . Let's see what is going on at Hogwarts, shall we?

18th March , 2020. (The next day after the Mavis thing)
At Hogwarts

Albus' POV

2:00 p.m. Classes have ended for today . What to do? What to do..? Here, I am roaming alone near the lake with nothing to do . Scorpius had run off saying he has something important to do. And of course I know exactly what is so "important" . The Slytherin in me was brought out and I gathered some information. He is-

"Hi Al!" I was brought out of my thoughts by none other than my little sis.

"Hey Lils! What's up?" I ask her , smiling . Lily's presence always somehow brought a smile on the people around her.

"The Sky, Al" I hear a sassy voice say.

Rox....
As I suspected , it was the one and only Roxanne Weasley. "Hello to you too, little cuz" I smirk. She hates it when we call her little .

She narrowed her eyes at me. Lily was giggling. "Anyway , i was just reading a letter I got from grandma!" Lily informs , cooling the heat around.

"What does it say?" Rox asks her . I look at Lily fro an answer.

"Well, ........  Grandpa has chosen to retire!!" She says cheerfully. Rox and I cheered loudly from happiness. Grandpa loved his job too much to leave all these years . He deserves rest, honestly.

"What are you guys so happy about?" Lucy and Dominique had just arrived.

"Gran-" I cut Lily off.

"How about everyone meet at the courtyard?" I instruct "Everyone will have to know soon anyway." They all nod. "Dom , go get your brother will you? And I'll go get Rose and-"

"I'll get Hugo! I know where he is" Lily volunteers . We all nod in confirmation and go our separate ways.

I run to the library to find Rose. As expected Scorpius is with her. They haven't told me that they are crushing on each other , I found out about it. I walk up to them casually .

"Hey guys!"
"Hey Al" they chorus together.

"You need to come with me Rose. You can come if you want too , Scorp" I tell them.

"Why?" They said simultaneously.

"You'll know when you get there" I said and started walking towards the library's door.
They shrugged and followed me.

Lily's POV

I found Hugo his common room and we are now heading to the courtyard. I arrive there to see that everyone except Dom and  Louis have come . We wait a few minutes and they finally arrive.

"What took you so long?" Lucy asked the two siblings.

"This guy" Dom started pointing at Louis "was not willing to come from the quidditch pitch even though his practice was OVER"

Louis glared at his sister . "The match is coming up, Dom! And it is Ravenclaw VS Hufflepuff!"

"And I am gonna beat your butt at it , Lou" Dom smirked at him . Dom is a beater while Louis is a chaser. So the rest of us laughed a little at her pun.

"I-" Louis gets cut off by Rose.

"Okay, okay , enough now . Cool down" the brother and sister sighed. "Now , tell us what you brought us here for! I have something to tell you too after that"

"Grandpa has chosen to retire it seems. Gave in his letter yesterday" Rox announces happily. All of us whooped while scorpius just smiled at us. "Now tell us your news Rose!"

"Well I read the Newspaper today morning-" she started.
"Oh that one ? Yeah I read too about that" Lucy says out loud confusing the rest of us even more.

"First , Aunt Ginny has been promoted to Editor." Albus and I grinned at each other "Second, Hogwarts is being temporarily closed" she said darkly.

"What!?Why!?" We all shouted at once.

"Wait I have the paper...." Dom said and dug into her bag . She brought out today's edition of the Daily Prophet. Only she, Lucy, Rose and  Albus read it . "I was busy so i just shoved it into my bag this morning" she explained and gave passed it to Louis who was beside her.

"I left it in my dorm" Albus sighed.
Louis reads it out loud:

As he finishes , we were all having worried looks on our faces.
"That's bad..." Hugo started .
"Yes Hu" I confirm.
We all were just silent for some time. Dom put the newspaper back inside her bag .

Scorpius' POV

I need to do something . I can't bear seeing these people so sad and worried. I ... I need to make them look on the Bright side! Hmm.... what's there? What's the-? YES!

(Aww! He's such a cinnamon roll)

"Look on the bright side guys! Albus and Lily's birthdays are coming up ! And if we are not at Hogwarts , you can bet we will be at your place for your day!" I tell them cheerfully, hoping it would brighten the mood . I'm sure dad can find a cure before it becomes too terrible.

They all smile at what I just said. Albus and Lily look at each other and say "You bet , there is gonna be a party!"

"Don't forget, Fred's birthday is coming up too" Roxanne reminds.

"How could we forget that, Rox? He reminds us like everyday" Louis exaggerates , rolling his eyes. We all laugh. Mission accomplished.

"What's the time?" Rose asks particularly to no one.

"Almost 5" I inform them , looking at my wristwatch . "Shall we head to dinner?"
They all nod and we start walking towards the great hall.

Rose's POV

At dinner

I am eating my steak and kidney pie while looking at Scorpius. I sighed. He is such a sweet guy... I love how he cheered us up a while ago. I like him a lot. But he doesn't like me that way...., does he?

"Rose? Rose! ROSE" I am brought out of my thoughts by Lily calling my name.

"Huh? What is it Lily?" I look at her and see Hugo looking worried at me from beside her. While Lily had a smirk on her face . Now I am worried . She never has a smug look . The last time she did...

"You were distracted" Hugo said with his mouth full and went back to eating his food. Just like dad....
I shook my head at him.

Lily slipped under the table but not before signalling me to come under it too. I looked around to see if anyone saw . All clear. I "dropped" my spoon and went under the table to see what Lily wanted to talk about .

"What is it? Why are you smirking ?" I whisper.

"Why not , Rose? Shouldn't I copy your crush's signature expression?" She asks raising her eyebrow.

"Cr-Crush? I d-don't have one" I lied trying to remain calm and not get nervous.

"Yeah sure" she whispered, her voice dripping with sarcasm "you so don't have a crush on Scorpius"

I gulped. No one could lie to Lily except her parents . She just.... brought the truth out of people. And more over, she is the kind that could make or steal veritaserum and smuggle it into your drinks. Yes that actually happened last year . Fred was the victim .

"I knew it!" She whisper-shouted with wide eyes.

"Shhh!" I shush her "I didn't confirm it , Lily"

"You didn't deny it either!" She says victoriously . I roll my eyes.

"Ugh, fine . I do have a crush on him.." I admit quietly. She silently giggles.

We both get back up from under the table one after another and act like nothing happened.

After dinner

Professor McGonagall stands up and clears her throat loudly to get everyone's attention. I was already looking towards her direction so it made no difference .

"Students, as you may have read in today's Daily Prophet or may have heard from your friends , Hogwarts will be closing for a few months ." She pauses. Soon whispers fill the hall.

"Silence!" Professor shouts . Everyone becomes quiet. "As known to most of you , the end of this week is when the train will arrive to take you all back home. Classes will be on hiatus till Hogwarts can reopen . If it takes too long , your finals will be cancelled and the next time you come to Hogwarts will possibly be next year." She says , a tint of sadness in her face. "That's it for now . To your dorms , you go!" She ends her speech  and sits down. The teachers start talking to each other with grave expressions on their faces .

We all go to our dorms in an "orderly fashion" as McGonagall says. Well it isn't much orderly after we reach the grand staircase.

I enter my dorm with my friends, Evelyn Dawson and Anna Macmillan . I change into my pajamas and head to my bed to get some sleep. A few more days at Hogwarts then , I can stay as long as I want at Albus' place and spend my time in their huge library and play quidditch too!

So Rose has a crush. Will she confess soon? Or will Scorpius , who happens to have feelings for her too?
