did the directors, producers etc. just not care enough to put that aspect of the story into the movies or did they just forget about it? did it not register in their minds that the fact of using contacts to change their eye colours would be very simple? or did they just push the idea away because they thought the actors and actresses were too young to wear contacts? maybe the set couldn't afford contacts while just beginning to film the movies...
