Sewn up still
these scars
filled with stitches
never removed
never healed

and festering
in the dark
hidden
heart

Such pain
deep down
Bleeding out tears
but not speaking
of such things

buried beneath
her fears

She wrestles
With the child
Screaming
Silently
Inside
and works
diligently
to hide
it all

from those with
scalpels for eyes

who feign
concern

yet they
may betray
her

and so
she runs
and dodges
their stares
