I fell and felt that you could tell
My hope was in a far off place
Made better by your lovely face

The day I began to see in vision
a truer hope than was ever given
You decked the halls wearing red
I dreamed of tomorrow in all you said

No other Christmas future could I see
Than the one with you loving me
I held on for it all to begin
trying to catch raindrops in the wind
