Blue jean jacket, raindrop red
Canvas tears and milk toast bread
Dry as wine and parched as air
milkweed thistles everywhere

Run fleet of foot and far as far
until you find your northern star
Swing out low beneath it then
and make your love your only friend

Red breasted robin, somber blue
paper tiger and kangaroo
Fierce as wind and strong as storms
burning in a fire warm

Rest light in head and deep as deep
until you have all you can keep
Then let it go where it shall
and be the love, you hope for now
