Frisk's POV

I was sitting on my bed, as I just woke up. It was the beginning of summer, so I didn't have school for a few months. I lived in a house with Toriel, who acted as my mother. Sans and Papyrus lived in a house next to us and I'd visit sometime. Toriel was a teacher at the school I went to, which was cool. Although she taught a younger grade. I would be in 6th grade after the summer, and she taught 1st grade. But that doesn't matter right now.

I yawned and stretched. Toriel had called my name for breakfast. She was an amazing cook and she made me pancakes for breakfast today. I went downstairs into the kitchen and ate. After that, I went outside. I took in a deep breath happily. I looked down at the grass, seeing a few flowers in it. I picked a yellow flower and smiled at it. Then, as I remembered the demonic psychopath that tried to murder me many times, I dropped the yellow flower and sighed. In the end, Asriel was nice when he became himself, and I missed him a lot, for some reason. I wish I didn't have to leave him underground.. But I couldn't exactly go get him.

After that little memory, I walked along the sidewalk and saw Papyrus and Sans outside.

"hey papyrus, what do skeletons call their friends with?" Sans asked his brother.

"CELL PHONES?" Papyrus responded.

"nah, cellbones." Sans laughed.

"BROTHER WHY?!"

"heh. hey, heard grillbz made a grillby's 2.0"

"IS IT NOT AS GREASY AS LAST TIME?"

"i dunno. grillbz said the sales were on fire."

"OH MY GOD, SANS, WHY?!"

About now I burst into laughter and accidentally scared Papyrus. They didn't seem to know I was there.

Papyrus jumped a little and turned around. "HELLO HUMAN! DO NOT STARTLE ME LIKE THAT!"

"Okay, Papyrus. Hehe. So.. How are you?" I asked.

"FINE, IF SANS WOULD STOP MAKING AWFUL PUNS!"

"you know they're humerus, Paps," Sans laughed. He was sitting in a lawn chair.

"STOP!" Papyrus screamed. I wondered if the whole neighborhood could've heard that screech.

"So, hi Sans! How are you?" I asked Sans.

"uh, fine.. why ask, kiddo?"

"Because I wanted to know," I responded.

"alright then..." For some reason, his tone changed slightly and it made me uncomfortable.

"I'm.. Gonna go," I mumbled and walked away. Something was up with Sans and he wouldn't tell me what, I knew it. Was something bothering him? His tone changed when I spoke to him. Did I do something? What did I dooooooo....

I hummed a tune and walked along the sidewalk. I heard my phone in my back pocket make a 'beep' sound. I grabbed it and looked at it. Alphys invited me to come over. Why not? What else is there to do? Alphys lived a block away from us in a house with Undyne. She still did little science experiments in her basement. I wonder what she's been doing lately...
