Chapter 9 (Pt.2)

Astoria

Axel ran his fingers over the skin of my thigh, drawing patterns. He was trying to divert my attention from the task at hand. I was doing the tedious task of sewing my torn cardigan and it was taking a lot of time.

I sighed, and gave him a scathing look. Leave me be.

He flashed me a cheesy grin, I went back to the needlework. He wouldn't stop any cost, he was going to bother me each second that I spent on my cardigan. Too bad for him, I was leaving my cottage without this cardigan.

Axel hated being ignored, especially when I ignored him. His callous fingers moved to fidget with my braided hair. He played with the loose tendrils before leaning closer to me, his mouth directly behind my ear.

He breathed on skin, tantalizing goosebumps erupted over my skin. God, he was playing unfair.

"Axel, the more time we waste, the late we are going to be," I told him, hoping he would stop messing with my feelings. He pressed a sloppy kiss to my ear, and finally backed away.

"I don't get why you need to wear that decade old cardigan everywhere." Axel slumped down on my bed, lying on his side, facing me, elbow propped up with his hand supporting his head.

I stared at him, stonily, completely dismaying the electric jolts that ran through me. "I like the color of it." It was the same color as your eyes, I told myself.

"I'll buy you a new one, a better one with the same color."

"I'll pass on it."

He rolled his eyes. "May I ask why?"

"No," I replied, sweetly.

"You're one frustrating woman."

My mouth pressed into a hard line. "Fine. Take someone who won't frustrate you to the movies. I have important work to do anyway."

"Oh, God." I heard him mumble under his breath.

I stood and packed my sew kit when a strong hand closed around my frantically moving hands, stopping me.

The hard cut of his jaw nuzzled my neck before bringing my hand to mouth, he kissed my knuckles repeatedly. His other hand curled around my hip bone, squeezing it.

"You know I didn't mean to hurt your feelings. Don't get mad at the littlest things possible." His mouth grazed the skin of my face, he gently held my chin, tilted it sideways to meet his ocean eyes.

Despite having five foot, six inches on me, Axel still managed to tower over me, dominating me with his six foot, two inches in length. He was tall, massive, his structurally built physique flourished even more now.

I averted meeting his eyes, I knew they would undo me.

"Toots, look at me."

I know what the thoughts that must've gridded his head. I have become incredibly sensitive these days. I got mad more often than before. I know he must think what a goddamn waste of time I am to him. But the shift in mood wasn't caused by what he said, no, it was because of my impending departure.

Axe still had no idea of it. I intended to keep it that way. I know he won't let me out his sight if I gave him the tiniest bit of indication of my situation. I didn't want it to happen. As much as I was dreading the inevitable, it wrecked me to leave Axel.

We were on borrowed time, I should spend every second with him. Why do you ruin everything for yourself? I chide myself.

He turned me to his front. A hand firmly clasped my chin. I finally gave into his demands and met his eyes.

"I very much enjoy you, even if you do frustrate me at times." His mouth tilted upwards. "After all, you are my frustrating woman." His tone was playful, trying to ease up my mood, but his eyes told a different story.

The gold speck of his blue eyes gleamed brighter than usual. It sent my heart into an overdrive.

"Now, go shower, and leave this cardigan to me," he ordered.

"Wait a minute, you know how to work a needle?" I asked, amazed.

His pretty boy charms were back in the game. "Of course, baby. I am a man with many talents."

I arched an eyebrow at him, not believing that he knew anything about sewing.

"Don't give me that look. Just fucking get your ass inside the shower. And remember to let your hair," he added the last part.

Axel

"That movie was fucking boring," I grumpled. "It nearly put me to sleep."

"Shut up, please. I saw you crying at the end. You were super invested in Julia and Caleb," Astoria scoffed. Flipping her open hair to the side she looked at me with an are you serious expression.

Well if I must admit, it wasn't entirely terrible, but I'll die before admitting shit. Pretending to hate the sappy romantic movie that Astoria had insisted we watch was better.

My fingers traveled to her nape, holding it in my grip. She had let her hair down for me, for once not defying me on the smallest things. I loved it when she obeyed me. The instinct to dominate her came naturally to me, to command her every movement the way I had usually done in the past.

I was patient in most of the aspects of my life yet when it came to Astoria, the virtue dwindled from within me.

Baby steps, I reminded myself.

I felt the corner of my mouth tick up."Were you watching me or the movie," I teased, arching an eyebrow.

She flushed beautifully under my gaze. "I-I was not. I caught you wiping your tears, that's it." She fidgeted the end of her worn out cardigan.

I had to remind myself that we were in a public place and if I decided to feast on her delicious plump lips right in front of everyone, it would garner unnecessary attention.

We didn't want attention right now.

I chose to drape an arm around her shoulder, pulled her body against mine, dropped a chaste kiss on her temple.

She had worn a navy blue dress that reached her knees, looking like a perfect christian girl. Oh, how I would love to dishevel her appearance and make her perform unholy things.

"I know you better than anyone. You loved that movie."

"Believe whatever you want. I am in a mood for some ribs, is that okay with you."

She rolled her eyes and nodded. "Fine. Let's go."

It was late in the evening, we had left the restaurant, and now I had pulled my Bentley over to the curb. I had only one thought which was to overpower her. It was a profound emotion that I could no longer steer away.

She turned her head sideways to stare at me with a knowing look written on her face. "Axel," she said softly.

I brushed my thumb on the corner of her mouth. "Toots, come here."

Her eyes rounded, she suddenly looked out of breath. "Axel, no." She read the intent on my face. "We can't, you can't." Her voice was breathy.

I watched the meticulous rise and fall of her chest quickened. My hand cupped her jaw. "Why?"

"Because you won't stop at one thing. You want more from me. More than I am willing to offer. I can't do that plus you have girlfriends." She stressed on the word girlfriends. "Besides, I don't want to be another notch on your belt."

The decent human in me had vanished. "You're more for me, Astoria."

Irritation shone in her eyes. "It's not the same." She stared at her hands before meeting my eyes. "What if I want more?"

The darkness of my head reached a boiling point. I was infiltrated with the burning desire to finally have the girl I had fallen in love with at thirteen. The pent up aggression that I had tucked away all these years was finally returning to me.

I couldn't go any longer than a second without feeling her want, her touch. She was calm in my chaotic life. There was no one who managed to drive me to the brink of mad control, obsession, feelings to possess. Only ever Astoria.

My hand dropped from her jaw to cup her perfect perky mounds. Her breath fractured while mine quickened. I felt myself get hard. Her tits fit perfectly in my palms. I kneaded each one of them. My eyes never left hers.

I watched her intently. It was the first time I had touched her intimately.

I pulled her nape, leaning forward, trailed kisses over her beautiful neck. I bit the skin leaving my mark on her. I took a whiff of her heavenly scent.

My feelings had only amplified over the years of not having her. I couldn't risk the possibility of scaring her if I took everything from her without asking her first. My control was barely intact.

My heartbeat matched her accelerated pace. Both of us were out of breath and I hadn't even started anything. I couldn't believe my luck, she was not refusing my advances. I was going to have her.

"Axel." The erotic way she whispered my name was enough to snap me out of my self-control. I went into a full lethal mode.

Lust fogged my head. I was going to claim for life.

"Fucking shit," I said through clenched teeth. "I told you to come to me."

I wasn't easy on her. I hauled her over the console, her hands bracing my chest. I took her lips in a savage kiss. It was a plain act of domination. Her body flushed against mine, she clutched my shoulders for support.

My fingers gripped her hair and nape firmly while I pushed her down my evident hardened cock. She was going feel everything she did to me.

I nipped her mouth, thrusting upwards. She gasped, I entered my mouth and my tongue forced her to battle it out. Her fists threw feather punches on her chest. I wasn't giving her room to breathe, but too consumed with my desires, I had forced her mouth to comply to my kisses.

"Ax-Axel, air—"

I pulled my mouth away from her. Her eyes reflected the lust in mine. She looked thoroughly kissed, her lips were swollen, she took in deep intake of breaths.

Astoria's hand cupped my jaw, I pulled it to my lips, kissing her palm.

We were both caught up in the moment that it had taken a repeated thumping on my windshield to get my attention.

"Hey, asshole, get out." I recognised the familiar voice and cursed under my breath.

Astoria reddened, mortified. I could sense she felt ashamed of her actions and was already rethinking her decision.

"Stop overthinking," I scolded in a rough tone. "I need to get out of the car for a sec, but don't you dare pull away from me." I warned her.

She was still on my lap, I gently placed her on the passenger seat and climbed out of the car, slamming the door shut behind me.

Chase stood with a ludicrous curl to lip. "What, asshole?" I asked him. "Are you stalking me now?"

"You wish. I saw you car in this darkened corner of the road, and thought maybe I should say hi—"

My temper ticked.

"To Astoria. After all, she's my date to the senior's dinner."

I chuckled, humourless. "Oh, are you, now."

"Yes, in fact, I need a lift."

"You have perfectly capable legs, use them."

"Nah. Not when I need a lift to your home. Isn't that where your little obsession lives too?" His mouth grew into a grin. "Tell me, how's it to have pussy on call?"

"I don't know, maybe you could give me a little insight," I retorted. "Sister dearest still fucking you?"

"More than you can imagine." His nonchalant facade almost slipped away. "But no one's getting laid, not more than you. Two girlfriends and a whore at your side. You have the life."

That's it, my fist connected to his sharp jaw. I punched the fucker, hard. "You son of a bit—" Before I could finish or plant another punch at him, a voice stopped me.

"Stop it, Axel." Astoria's voice sounded horrified. She was at my side immediately. "You don't hit your friends." She came to stand in front of me. "Don't do it."

"Listen to her, Axel. The girl got more brain than you."
