His Punching Bag
* The Picture is of Ky Severs. Play Video. *
Hit.
An exhale. Teeth clench tight. Knuckles wrapped in white and a body lathered in sweat. He growls.
Hit. Hit.
A strike of lightning every time his fists connect with leather. The sound of his anger rumbling with thunder.
Hit. Hit.
The rain pounds outside the gym. His arms flex and firm with every punch. He breaths with every strike, trying to remember the days when he was simple.
Hit. Hit. Hit. Hit.
The thunder sends a shiver down his spine. The glare of death residing within his eyes. A terrible memory and past eating him like a monster.
Hit Hit Hit Hit Hit Hit Hit Hit-
The screams haunt him.
Hit Hit Hit Hit Hit Hit Hit HIT!
One last hit to shake the earth. And he lets the punching bag swing. Looking down as he quickly unwraps the bandages as if they were burning him. His knuckles red as he clenches and unclenches his hand. Testing. He knows he's late and he knows he won't be damned for it. He grabs his shirt and slips it over his sweaty hot body. Slipping on his jacket as he pops the hood. The door opens with an iron clang and he hops on his motor.
Ky Severs, had the weight of the world on his shoulders.
* Serena *
"Now class, in 1914 World War 1-" Mr.Hue wrote on the board. The door swinging open as my eyes snapped towards it. Ky was soaked to the bone. Death's face was on his body as he was tense. The slushing of water in his shoes echoed as he walked slowly. Drips of water falling off of him as his hand grabbed his hood and ripped it off. Combing his fingers through his hair. Our eyes made contact and...his face fell at ease for just a moment before it took on his jackass facade. He scoffed and sat in his seat next to Rachel. She greeted him with a low "hello baby" and kissed his cheek.
Class went on like Ky didn't just storm in. And when the teacher turn around he didn't call Ky out on his lateness.
"What's going on with him?"
"With who?" Sakura replied, confused as if she didn't just see what I had just seen.
"With Ky? He's more...pissed today."
"He's..." she paused as we both looked at him. His hands fist as they laid on the table. His leg bouncing up and down. He was agitated beyond concern. "He just has a hard life." She finished, ripping her eyes from him as my eyes remained. "He...he wasn't always this way. There was a time when he was happy. A time when he smiled and didn't act like an ass!" I heard the slam of a pencil against notebook. Sakura was frustrated, her fingers pinching her nose bridge.
"What...what happened to him? How did he change?"
She sighed, "it's not my story to tell, but that boy..." she paused. The world seeming to fade as my eyes could look at no one but him. "...has gone through hell and back."
I watched him as he stared outside the window. The sound of Mr.Hue's voice fading in the distance as the rain continued to pound outside. A gloomy day for the pained Alpha.

"So turns out little Ms.Princess Rachel is having a party next week." Jason said with a groan. Taking a huge chunk out of his sandwich.
"You're kidding?!?" Alice said. Sounding a bit annoyed as she almost spit her salad all over Daren.
It's was lunch time and we had heard some girls talking and giggling about something this morning. We hadn't made much of it since it was pretty natural. That was until they dropped Rachel's name. Now this.
"That's like the 10th one this month!"
"5th" Daren corrected Alice, making her stick her tongue out at him. He rolled his eyes. "This one is her 18th birthday party. The whole pack and all the cool kids are practically invited."
"Where are your parents during all this?" Sakura asked surprised and bewildered thinking why Rachel's parents would allow so many parties. I simply continued to eat my sandwich. Already decided that there was no way on earth that I was going.
"They've been on a business trip and won't come back for months."
"I'm just glad that I'm not expected to go." I muttered. Making all eyes snap at me.
"Unfortunately you are darling." Jason said with a smirk. Making me cough on a bit of my sandwich. Sakura patting my back so I wouldn't choke.
"W-why do I have to?!?!"
"Cause we all know Ky is going to be there so we all have to go and protect him." He replied. Crossing his arms as they flexed beautifully, his eyes showing me a devilish gaze. "And besides...I wouldn't pass up on the chance of seeing you in a dress."
I could feel my cheeks get warm as Sakura and Alice squealed beside me. Quickly discussing on how they are going to doll me up. I gave Jason the look that would kill.
"You. Wouldn't. Dare."
"I'm not," he put his hands up in surrender. His smirk fading only for a moment. "But they are." Sakura and Alice squealed again as Jason gestured towards them. I mentally cursed to myself. Throwing a grape that I had on my plate right into Jason's eye (on accident).
"Ugh! Fuck!" He groaned as he rubbed his eye. Making Alice, Sakura, and Daren laugh. Only making me blush with embarrassment. I can't believe I had just did that.
"Jason I'm so sorry. I didn't mean-"
He put his hand up. Wanting me to stop instantly, "it's perfectly fine. You didn't do it on purpose." He spoke. Showing me a small smile as he held his eye. I smiled in return.
"I truly am sorry but..." I smirked. "...Karma's a bitch!" I yelled victorious. Making the others burst into another fit of laughter.

The steel felt cold against my skin. My hands pushing the iron door as it slid open. The sound of fist against leather overlapping with the sound of rain. I entered, turning around as the warmth welcomed me. The door closing with a clang. The lights of the gym were dimmed as they illuminated a old gold color. I shoved my hands in my pockets and walked toward the sound. That's where I found him.
Shirtless as small beads of sweat formed on his perfectly chiseled body. Bits of hair stuck to his forehead with every swing he took. The force of the punch echoing through the air to my ears every second. His stance was strong and firm. His whole body flexing as he put all his energy into each and every punch. His teeth clenched tight as he breathed through perfectly sculpted lips. Eyes of terror in his sockets. I watched him...breathless. Not knowing that watching someone punch a punching bag could be such a turn on. Well...if you're only watching Ky Severs punch a punching bag that is. I was completely mesmerized with him.
"Why are you here?" He spoke coldly. Taking one last swing as he stopped the bag. The bandages on his hands looking busted and overused. My hands began to become sweaty in my pockets.
"I-I..." why the hell was I stuttering?
He smirked. His chocolate eyes looking at me as they narrowed. Not narrowing in hate, but in...mischief. "What's wrong...kitten? Mouse got your tongue?" He mocked. His voice low and cocky. My mouth dropped to earth's core. The nerve of him!
"I was going to see if you were okay. Looks like you are just peachy!" I replied a bit snobbish. My arms crossing as my eyes narrowed at him slightly.
He chuckled. But it wasn't a chuckle out of humor. It was evil. "Why wouldn't I be okay? And even if I wasn't why would I tell you?" He hissed. His eyes looking at me with disgust before he averted them. Going back to his punching bag as he took a swing. I growled, feeling a ping in my heart.
"You're right. Why would you tell me?! You barely know me and I barely know you!" I yelled. Huffing as I turned my back on him. My hands fist at my sides as I began to walk away. My anger breaking with every punch he took. I stopped and sighed.
"But...I do want to get to know you." I spoke soft and in a whisper. His rhythm of punching faltering for just a minute as he quickly picked it up again. Letting me know that he indeed heard me. "I...I also need a sparring buddy." I turned to him, speaking a bit louder. The face of a pissed demon residing on him.
"No," he spoke blunt.
"But Ky-"
"I said no," he looks at me. Stopping the bag with one hand. "I will not do it. Tell Jason to help you."
"Jason can't keep up with me. You know that."
"I don't care! I'm not doing it. End of discussion." He gritted through his teeth. Taking one big swing at the punching bag as it flew in circles.
"Ky-"
"End of discussion." He hissed. His Alpha eyes flashing as he warned me not to continue. "Now...get the fuck out of here!" He demanded. Going to his punching bag as he hit it harder and harder. I growled louder as if I was a cartoon character that had steam coming out of their ears. Huffing and puffing as I scoffed and turned away. This time having no intention of coming back as the sound of the punching bag was behind me. I walked out, closing the door behind me.
I was pissed.
I punched the iron door, making it rattle. I groaned from frustration, the rain pouring harder as if it heard my call. I had to get out of here! I had to. Without a second thought...I shifted.
I howled as my bones began to break and reconfigure. My spine arching as my mouth got longer. The color of blue dying my green eyes as I was colored in white. I took deep breaths, standing in my new form. Big as a bear and strong as an elephant...I was a force not to be reckoned with. I growled and ran into the near by woods. A clash of lightning signing off the storm.
The rain was stinging me as if it were pebbles or broken glass. Making me blink furiously and shake my head. I almost ran into a tree as I quickly dodged it. Thunder rumbling the earth as I kept my frantic pace. The storm gained another pound. It was dark as the storms lightening was my only light. The wind pushed against me as my white paws ripped into the soft ground. I had to get home. I had to find shelter...but I was lost. Frantic and scared. Despite everything I kept running. My eyes searching the woods for some familiarity. I wasn't paying attention.
One moment I was on solid ground, the next...I was tumbling.
* Ky *
"I was going to see if you were okay. Looks like you're just peachy!"
"Grrrrr!" Hit.
"You barely know me and I barely know you!"
Hit. Hit.
"But...I do want to get to know you."
Hit. Hit. Hit. Hit. Hit. Hit. Hit. HIT!
I breathed heavily. My chest rising up and down as my arms fell limp at my sides. My hands relaxing as my knuckles opened and flex. Their soreness of being in one place too long going through me.
Why would someone like you, want to get to know someone like me.
I sighed. Rolling my shoulders and neck to get the tension out of them. Stretching my muscles as I let them flex. The rain banging on the door. That's one hell of a storm, I wouldn't want to get caught out there. I ripped my thoughts from the storm as I shook out my hands. Taking my stance-
"Awooooooooo."
My heart dropped as a bone chilling feeling came over me. Straightening up as my hands fell once more. Looking towards the door as I listened carefully. Praying that what I heard was the wind. My breathing stifled, my body tense. Nothing. Nothing but wind and pounding rain. I sigh-
"Awooooooooooooooooo."
I lurched for the door. Running as I didn't stop to close the door behind me. The rain cutting through me as I jumped. Shifting in mid air before my black paws touched the soaked ground. My fur drenched in seconds as I howled. Telling her that I was coming, that I was coming for her. I entered the nearby woods. Pausing as I sniffed the air and ground. Her scent was faint but still followable. I howled like a dog informing it's master to follow him to the rabbit. I followed. Retracing her steps slowly, making sure I didn't miss a thing. I soon came to a small valley. Where the earth cave in and then rose on the other side. The scent was strongest here. I peered down into the valley, a strike of lightning shedding light on a white silhouette. My eyes widened.
Serena.
I skidded down into the ditch. Her body lay limp against the fallen autumn leaves. Her body soaked and trembling. Her left arm looked fucked up as it laid against the ground in a awkward way. She looked unconscious, but I wasn't sure. I leaned my muzzle next to the white wolf. Wanting to make sure it was who I thought it was as I took a long sniff.
Vanilla. Sweet sweet Vanilla.
I would know that smell anywhere. It was the first thing I noticed every time she walked into class. Right before I met her evergreen eyes. I nudged my muzzle against her cheek. Using our mind link.
'Serena.'
She groaned. I kept nudging her cheek, this time a bit harder.
'Serena get up!'
Her eyes fluttered open. A beautiful shade of sea blue. She popped her head up as she looked at me surprised.
'Ky?'
'Yes it's me. Can you stand?' I asked softly. Watching her carefully as the rain continued to pound down at us. Not letting up.
'No, I-I think I broke my wrist.'
'Try.' I demanded. My alpha eyes flashing as I gave her a command. Her head bowing as she felt my control. She slowly, carefully tried to stand. Holding her right paw against her body as she try to support herself with three legs. She fell. I noticed that her other three legs were pretty banged up too.
'I-I can't stand.' She whimpered. This girl confuses me so much. First she's feisty, then the next thing you know she's vulnerable. I thought for a minute. Thinking how I could get her back to the gym fast enough so she doesn't get sick. Also making sure I don't damage her wrist more.
'Shift.' I told her.
She gave me a look. Knowing where I was going with this. 'Oh no. I know exactly where you're going with this. And if you thi-'
She's back to her original self. I rolled my eyes as she spoke. 'SHIFT!' I demanded. Growling and snapping my teeth near her ear. She whimpered...and obeyed. The sound of her snapping bones echoed through the woods as she turned back to her human form. Her legs and arms scraped with scratches and bruises. Her clothes soaked as they clung to her, her hair doing the same effect. She was right, her wrist was indeed broken.
'Get up!' I said, taking a step back as I gave her room. She groaned as she got up. Her knees popping as her back did the same. Holding her right wrist against her chest as she stood before me. I kneeled before her.
'Get on.' And she obeyed accordingly. Her legs straddling my back as her head laid in between my shoulders. I stood, being careful to not let her fall. A unknown feeling going through me as she touched me. 'Hold on tight.' Her fingers clawed into my fur and the feeling intensified. I shook off the feeling as I began to climb out of the ditch. Running as I heard her chuckle.
'What's so funny?' I asked her. Sounding a bit annoyed on purpose.
'Nothing...it's just...'
'Just what?' I growled.
'It's just...I never expected your fur to be this soft.'
*
I walked into the gym. My fur dripping water as the warmth engulfed us. Hearing Serena sigh as the heat touched her cold body. I took deep breaths as I kneeled on the floor. Letting Serena get off as the feeling left me at that moment. I rolled my head, popping my neck as I shifted back to my human form. My body shirtless as my jeans clung to my legs. Serena standing in front of me as she trembles slightly. Her arms holding her tight as she wanted nothing more but warmth. I combed my fingers through my hair.
"You know that was stupid of you." I said walking off. Grabbing a towel that was on a bench and throwing it to Serena.
She caught it with one hand. "Since when do you know what's stupid and what's not?" She said harsh. Meeting my tone as she began to dry herself off.
"Since I was born. You?" I snapped back at her. Putting the towel over my head as I dried my hair.
"Since I was in the womb!"
"Then maybe you need a lesson."
"You know what!" She said throwing her arms at her side. "You are so- ah! Eerrr." She growled. Grabbing her wrist as she growled in pain. I looked at her, feeling a sort of a guilt as I watched her in pain. I hung my towel around my neck. The ends of it falling on my chest as I walked over to her.
"Let me see," I said softly. Holding my hand out to her. Waiting for her to place her wrist in it. She looked at my hand as if it was some kind of monster. I rolled my eyes. "I don't bite..." I paused as she placed wrist slowly in my hand. The feeling coming back to me once more. "...hard that is." I said finishing my sentence. Her face going pale as she began to rip her hand from me. My fingers holding her wrist tight.
"I was just kidding," I said jokingly.
"I wish you were more like that," she muttered something that I didn't hear.
"What?" I said as I examined her wrist slowly and gently. Turning it as I analyzed it.
"Nothing."
I paused as I grabbed her towel. Bundling it up into something thick. "Here bite into this." I said, holding the towel out to her.
She gave me a uneasy and confused look. "...why?"
"Just bite into it. Trust me, you'll thank me later."
"Okayyyyy." She took the towel out of my hand and put it into her mouth. Biting hard on the thick fabric as I grabbed her wrist. Holding it tightly as I grabbed her hand as well. She began to mumble, clearly not seeing what I was doing.
"Whath ish thish su-" I grabbed her hand and jerked it back into its socket. Her wrist snapping as she screamed in pain. Biting down hard on the towel as she soon spit it out. Holding her hand as she cursed.
"What are you?!? Crazy!"
I growled. "Oh stop your whining and check your hand."
"I'm pretty sure you..." she began to move her hand. Being able to move it as her wrist was no longer broken. "...fixed it. You...you fixed my wrist." She looked at me amazed and grateful.
"You're welcome." I grabbed my shirt and put it on. Fixing it as I let it hang loose.
"Maybe I was wrong about you. Maybe you aren't a jackass after all." She said to herself.
My eyes widened. My fist slamming against the bench, making her flinch behind me. I turned on her. "You know nothing about me."
Her eyes narrowed, her blue eyes challenging my red. "I give you a compliment and this is how you act towards me?!?"
"Saying that maybe I'm not a jackass is a compliment!" Why am I like this?
"Well if you don't like it then I'll take it back!"
"Maybe you should!" I growled.
"I..." she ran her hands through her hair. Frustrated. "I don't understand you! One moment you're nice to me, the next you're back to being a jackass!"
"I never asked you to understand me!"
"You shouldn't have to. You're my Alpha! I should be getting along with you, understanding you!"
"Maybe I don't want you to understand me!" I said stern. Turning my back on her as I walked back to my punching bag. Wrapping my knuckles in their white bandages.
"Ky-"
"And don't think me helping you changes anything!" I took a swing. "I'm not being your sparring partner. You don't know me and I don't know you. Stop being so familiar with me!"
She growled. Silence surrounding me as I continue to swing. Right, left, upper, kick. Right, left, upper, kick! I kept working on my form, thinking that she had left. To my surprised she was still here as I heard her coming up behind me. I sighed and I turned around. My hands falling at my sides.
"What is it n-" I was cut off with a blow to my face. Falling back on my ass as I try to process what just happened. My nose hurt like a bitch. I looked up, seeing a furious Serena standing before me. Her hand tight in a fist. She had just punched me!
"What the hell were you-" she kneeled down quickly. Her hands grabbing my shirt collar as she made me look at her. Looking deep into my eyes as her hands shook with rage.
"Now you listen here Ky Severs," she growled. "I'm your beta now, you chose me and now you're stuck with me. My mission, my number one purpose in life is to protect you and only you. You understand? So I'm going to get to know you, I'm going to understand you. Whether you like it or not. So stop being a jackass and make my life a little easier would ya?!"
She let go of my collar. Standing up as she stormed out of the gym. Slamming the iron door behind her as she left me on the floor. Utterly surprised and amazed by her boldness.
*
The sound of fist against leather is a wonderful thing. It calms me. The hard knuckles against a soft impact. A great force of energy...going into something that doesn't care. I punch to think. To remember. To forget.
Hit.
Why did I feel those things when I touched her?
Hit. Hit.
Why does she always get me riled up?
Hit. Hit.
Why did I memorized her smell so quickly? Why is it the first thing I smell every morning...even when she's not around.
Hit. Hit. Hit. Hit.
Why can't she just stay in line?
Hit.
Why isn't she obedient?
Hit. Hit. Hit. Hit. Hit.
Why am I a jackass? I wasn't always like this. Was I?
Hit. Hit. Hit. Hit. Hit.
I've never been the same. I haven't thought the same. I don't look at people the same anymore. I'm not me anymore.
Hit. Hit.
I...I haven't been me since the accident. Ever since...
I growled. Punching the bag furiously as it began to swing out of control. Punching it more and more as the chained squeaked. Sounding like a mouse being chased by a cat.
"Maybe I don't want you to understand me!"
Maybe...I do.
