It was quite as we sat there in the car, the radio was playing the song "I'll fight", by the band Daughtry. One of my favorites, I would usually sing with this song but......I wasn't singing, I was thinking. The song soon ended and Ky reached his hand to the volume knob and he turned it, leaving us in complete silence.

"Okay...what's wrong?" He asked, I looked at him, his eyes were on the road, his hands gripped the stirring wheel tight. I looked at the road, my hands laying in my lap.

"Nothing, nothing is wrong," I said firmly.

"Liar."

"What?" I said looking at him.

"You're lying."

"I am no-"

"Serena, one of your favorite songs just came on and you didn't sing to it. You have been awfully quite and besides......I've spend more than half my life with you. I know when your lying and when your not."

I look down to my lap, my hands becoming fist. "You've paid more attention to me more than I thought."

"And much more than what you are thinking now," He said while turning a corner.

"Now......what' s wrong?" He asked straightening out the car from the turn.

"I'm just thinking, about how long."

"About how long.........what?" He said.

"About how long you known I was your mate?" I told him looking at him.

He just stayed silent and he kept his eyes on the road. I could see his hands tighten on the stirring wheel and the atmosphere became heavy.

"Ky......how long? How long have you known that I was your mate? How long have you loved me?"

He took in a deep breath and said, "how long have I known you?"

"Let's see......we met when we were 5 and we are now 18. So we have known each other for 13 years."

He paused, "13 years."

"What?"

"That's how long I've known, 13 years. The moment I met you...I......I knew. I knew that you would be mine and I was......happy about it, I was overjoyed about it."

My heart skipped a beat, "why didn't you tell me?" I said quietly.

"Because......I know that you wouldn't have believed me."

I...I looked away from him, knowing that he was right. I wouldn't have believed him, because I haven't felt what he did, that shock, the glowing of my eyes, the feeling of being whole. I haven't felt it, but if I did when he did 13 or if it was only 6 years ago......I would have believed him and I would have loved him.

We were quiet the rest of the way home.

He pulled up to the front of my house, his car staying on the street. He turned the key in the ignition and the engine slowly fell asleep.

"I'm sorry," I said looking down into my lap, my hands now on the arm rests.

"What?!" He said looking at me. I could feel his eyes on me.

"I'm sorry, I......I didn't know..." I began to shake.

"For 13 years......I didn't know. I didn't even...think. I'm sorr-"

"Serena," he said placing his hand on top of mine and he held it firmly. I looked at him, his eyes were filled with so much emotion and passion.

"I don't blame you," He paused and he moved closer to me, his hand caressed my cheek as he placed his forehead on mine. I breathed in his lavender scent, slowly calming me down.

"I don't blame you, I never blamed you. But that doesn't matter anymore, the pass 13 years of wanting you doesn't matter anymore. Because I have you and that's all I ever wanted," he then kissed me, pressing his lips softly against mine. I closed my eyes enjoying the sweet feeling of his lips on mine. He removed his lips from mine, leaving this kiss sweet and gentle.

"I'm going to pick you up for school," he said moving his head away from mine, he slowly put the hand that was caressing my cheek down.

"I have my own car, Ky."

He gave me a look, I sighed. "Alright what time are you going to pick me up?"

"Well, what time do you leave?"

"8:00."

"Then I'll pick you up then."

"Sounds good to me," I said and I was about to get out of the car when Ky grabbed my wrist and pulled me back in.

He kissed my cheek and said, "good night, my disobedient mate" he said sweetly.

I smiled and I kissed him on the cheek, "good night, my possessive Alpha." He gave out a little chuckle as I climbed out of the car. I shut the door looking at him one last time, I walked up the drive way and I soon heard the engine come to live and the car began to drive away.

"I love you Serena," Ky mind linked.

"I love you too, Ky." I smiled.

"BEEP, BEEP, BEEP, BEEP, BEEP"

"urgh" I groaned as I slammed the "off" button on my alarm clock. I looked at the alarm clock through my hazy sleepy eyes. It was 6:30......I sighed and slowly got out of bed, letting my warm blankets fall on the bed. The cold air send chills down my spine, making me wake up early than I wished. I got off my bed, my bare feet feeling the soft carpet, I walked over to my closet. I slipped off my pajama pants and my night shirt and replaced them with skinny blue jeans and I put on a white shirt that was loose and the sleeves only went to my elbows. I put on a black leather bracelet that was and inch wide on my right wrist, I put on a pair of socks and my black converse. I brushed my teeth and my hair, getting all the tangles and rat's nest out of it. I unplugged my iPhone from the charger, I was about to put it in my back pocket when it vibrated in my hand. I unlocked the phone and put my password in, I saw that I had a text message. I tapped on it, it was from Jason.

'Do you want me to pick you up today?' He typed.

'No, thanks anyway,' I texted back.

Minutes passed and he text back. 'Are you driving to school?'

'No, Ky's giving me a ride.'

'But I wanted to take you :( '

'Next time, kay?'

'Kay :) '

I looked at the time on my phone as I walked down the stairs. 7:00, only an hour left before Ky comes and gets me, I thought as I placed my phone back in my pocket. As I walked down stairs the smell of bacon hit my nose. When I stepped into my kitchen my mother had just put my plate of food where I usually eat. My dad had already left for work and my brother, Robert had already left for school and my mom leaves after she finishes making my breakfast. I was the last one left at the house alone, I sat down and began to eat.

"Bye sweety, don't forget to lock up, kay?" My mom said giving me a kiss on the cheek.

"Don't worry mom and Ky is taking me to school today."

"Alright dear," she said as she opened the door that led to the garage, closing it behind her.

I finished my breakfast by 7:30, I was about to sit down and watch T.V. when my phone vibrated again. I took it out of my back pocket, it was another message...except it was from Ky.

'I'm coming over.' It said.

'But it's not 8:00 yet.'

'I know, but I want to spend the last 30 minutes with you.'

'Ky, you don't have to do that.'

'I want to and besides I'm already outside of the door.'

Just then the door bell rang, I placed my phone back into my pocket as I walked over to the door. I grabbed the door knob and I pulled the door open, standing there was Ky with a cocky smile on his face. He was wearing a short sleeve black shirt with dark blue jeans, a chain went from a belt loop from his pants to his back pocket, his eyes gleamed their golden color. I crossed my arms in front of my chest and I gave him a look.

"You know you could've just rang the door bell," I said as I stepped out of the way letting him in.

"I know but it's much more fun to tease you. Are your parents still home?" He asked as he walked in, I close the door behind him.

"No, why?" I asked as I turned around and looked at him.

He turned around and he placed his hands on my waist, pulling me to his chest. My breath hitched as my body touched his, his face was close to mine and I could feel his hot breath on my lips.

"Then I can do this," he said seductively and he slammed his lips into mine. At first I was shocked at the sudden movement, but I slowly eased into it, wrapping my arms around his neck and letting my eyes close. I opened my mouth, his minty breath mixing with my own, his tongue twirled with mine. He moaned in enjoyment, our lips moved in sync and we were running out of breath, he removed his lips from mine and we both were panting for breath.

"How is that for a wake up call?" He said breathless. I chuckled.

"Come on," he said as he grabbed my hand and led me to the couch that was in the T.V. room. He sat down pulling me down with him, making me sit on his lap, I could feel his arms wrap around me. I sat on him side ways, his chest touching the right side of my body, my back laid against the couch' s arm rest. My feet on the couch.

"What do you want to watch?" He asked giving me a smile.

I could feel my cheeks get warm, "anything," I said cuddling into him, putting my forehead on his neck, letting my head lay on his shoulder.

"Alright," he said softly and he put the T.V. on.

We watched T.V. until 8:00 and then we got into the car, making sure we locked all the doors and putting the alarm on. I grabbed my one strap brown leather back pack and put it in the back seat with Ky's, his dark slim back pack looking unused and unworn. I hopped into the passenger seat as he sat in the driver's seat and we drove off, ready to meet the Betas at school.

"Are you sure?" I asked as we sat in Ky's car that was already parked in front of the school.

"What are you scared of?" He asked looking at me.

"I'm not afraid it's just.........the girls won't like me around you."

"And I should care because......?"

"I'm just saying, I'm going to get alot of jealous and angry glares."

"Serena, I won't let anyone hurt you."

"I know," I said looking out the window and placing a piece of my hair behind my left ear.

"It's just-" I began to say but I was interrupted as Ky lightly bit my ear. I recoiled from the sudden gesture and I cold feel my cheeks go warm, I looked at him. He chuckled and he gave me a smile.

"Don't you trust me?" He asked putting his hand on the car handle. Getting ready to open it.

"You know I do."

He gave me a cocky smile, "then come on." He opened the door and got out of the car, I sighed and shook my head. I opened the door and stepped out of the car, my feet hitting the concrete, I could feel everyone's eyes on me as I closed the door behind me. It was a nice cool day, the sun was over casted and the wind was blowing a nice cool and powerful breeze, making my long hair dance wind.

Ky walked over to my side of the car in long, elegant strides, his back nice and straight. But I could see he was on edge as his eyes scanned the parking lot, you could see girls giving me their envious glares and whisper between each other. Boys had their arms crossed in front of their chest, glaring at Ky, werewolves knew that they should stay away and back off. But they didn't, girl humans and girl werewolves were still glaring and whispering between each other. Male humans and werewolves still crossed their arms and glared, even Alpha' s were glaring and staring.

Ky opened the back seat door, handing my backpack with his right hand. I stepped closer to it and grabbed it, but he didn't let it go instead he pulled it, pulling me towards him. He kissed my forehead and I thought I heard some wolves growl, this was not good, they did not like this arrangement. He kissed my forehead longer, making sure he had me drenched in his scent, making sure that they could tell I was his and his alone.

He then looked at me, "you're mine and they can't have you," he quietly growled and he let go of my back pack, letting me put it on. He grabbed his back pack and slipped on his shoulders, he closed the door behind him and he locked the car making it make a small, beep, sound. He then placed his keys in his pocket, he turned around and he grabbed my hand intertwining his fingers with mine, pulling me by his side. We began to walk to the school, were so close, his arm rubbed against mine, so close that I could put my head on his shoulder right here, right now.

We were able to get into the plaza and past the gates without any problems. We soon found the other Betas at their usual spot, the 6 tables under the steel ramada in the middle of the plaza. Daren, Alice, and Sakura all welcomed us with warm smiles and greeted us with hugs, Jason greeted me with a warm smile but he greeted Ky with a half descent grin.

"I knew it!" Alice said giving us a smug look.

"What are you talking about," Daren asked looking dumbfounded.

"About Ky's mate-"

"Wait...you knew that Serena was going to be Ky's mate?" Sakura asked interrupting Alice.

"Dah, how did you not?"

"Because the thought of it is unthinkable," Jason said in a menacing tone. He was leaning against one of the tables with his arms crossed in front of his chest, he looked at Ky with unfriendly eyes. Everyone went silent as we all looked at him, then he looked at me and I could see regret in his eyes, he sighed and stood up from the table and walked away. My eyes couldn't help but follow him.

"What happened to him?" Ky asked looking at the Betas.

"He's been grumpy ever since the party," Sakura said as she wrapped her arms around herself.

"Do you know what happened?"

"All we know is that the beginning of the party he was happy and cheery. Then the next thing we knew he's grumpy and angry." Daren said.

"But we did see when his mood change," Alice said putting a hand on Sakura's shoulder.

"When?" Ky asked, I was still watching Jason with worried filled eyes and I soon tuned out the rest of their conversation.

* Ky's P.O.V *

Alice looked at Sakura, then they both looked at Daren. Daren nodded, Alice gave out a sigh and took in a deep breath. She removed her hand from Sakura's shoulder and she walked over to me, then she put her mouth next to my ear.

"When you told the pack that Serena was your mate," she whispered in my ear and then she walked back between Sakura and Daren.

"You don't think..."

"We do." I stood there dumbfounded.

"Face it Ky, it's the only thing that makes sense. They've grown attached to each other ever since you left," Sakura said letting her arms drop at her side.

"The boy has the hots for your mate and who can blame him she's se-"

I growled, "you finish that sentence, you won't have a tongue to speak with," I barked at him, my eyes blazing red.

He put his hands up in surrender, "Calm down Ky, I'm just trying to prove my point."

"Well, prove it another way. Alice..."

I looked at her and she looked at me, her eyes filled with determination.

"You don't think that she..."

"No, she loves you ky. There's no doubt in that." I gave out a small sigh of relief.

"And are you 100 percent sure that he..."

"Absolutely, there is no doubt in our minds that he loves her."

When Alice said the words "he loves her" I could feel my anger about to take over. Wanting me to punish Jason right now no matter what the cost. But the fact that he was my Beta and a great pal of mine, made me stop and think. It was quite for a moment or two as I thought on what to do, when Sakura asked...

"Ky......what are you going to do?"

I looked at them, their eyes were filled with worry and fear. I knew what ever choice I made they would happily follow, even if it meant hurting one of their own. They knew that it was wrong, to love someone else's mate, especially if it was the Alpha, something like this could get you killed, brutally murdered, or even getting kicked out of the pack. What to do, what to do, I could either punish him or stay quite and see what happens, if anything happens, which I'm hoping it won't. I looked at them again and...I sighed.

"If he doesn't do anything...there's no point to punish him," I said giving them my finally consent.

I could see relief wash over their faces, "Thank you, Ky," Daren said giving me a smile.

"Remember, if he does do something......then he would have to be punished."

"Of course," Sakura said.

Then the bell rang and it was time to go to class. Serena looked at me and smiled, I smiled back, I grabbed her hand and we walked to our next class. During all of our classes, all the teachers congratulate us on our "accomplishment" that was the code word for "finding your mate" around here in case any of the human students hear it. So far the day went well, I didn't have to fight or bite anyone's head off. That's when the bell to lunch rang.

* Serena' s P.O.V *

I had just finished eating lunch, so I was outside under the ramada. Sakura and Alice were both there with me, the boys were still inside the cafeteria eating. We were sitting on one of the tables that was under the ramada, I sat in between Sakura and Alice, then they said that they needed to go to the restroom. So they both left and told me they would be back in a couple minutes, I didn't mind, if they needed to go, they needed to go. I could take care of myself, I'm still a Beta, still assigned to protect Ky and myself when needed.

"Hi babe," a familiar voice said as they sat next to me.

"Hello Lucas," I sighed. Lucas is a human boy who has been hitting on me ever since I came to this school. I would of already bit his head off, but going to a human schools has it's flaws. There are rules and the two top rules are, One: not to expose werewolves to humans in anyway, shape, or form. Two: You are not allowed to hurt human students no matter what they are doing, what they have done, or what they are going to do.

"So...I'm still waiting for that answer," he said with a smirk.

"And I've told...my answer is no! I'm not going home with you Lucas!" I said as I stood up and began to walk away when he grabbed my wrist tightly.

"Let me go!" I yelled.

"Not until you give me the right answer!"

"Like I said...there is no way!"

He gave me a dirty look, then he pulled me towards him until I hit his chest...hard. He grabbed both of my wrist holding me in place, I looked up into his eyes that were filled with pure evil. I began to struggle but his hands were on me too tightly.

"Looks like I will just have to take you......forcefully." He spatted his dark brown eyes that almost looked black. I don't why, but his dark black eyes made my body shutter, like those eyes were staring into what I really was......a white wolf. He smirked. Then the next thing I knew, strong and firm hands were on my shoulders and they pulled me out of Lucas' grip on my wrist. My back hit a strong and firm chest and the smell of lavender hit my nose. I looked behind me...it was Ky and his eyes were burning a vibrant gold...trying to contain his wolf.

"I believe you have something that doesn't belong to you," He snarled.

"But I thank you for returning her to me," Ky said giving him a smirk.

"Who gives you the right to interrupt!"

"I do. Now if you don't want me to beat you up...I suggest you walk away."

"Is that a threat?!"

"Do I have to repeat myself? Are you too stupid to understand it the first time?"

Lucas' teeth tighten, he was about to say something foul when he saw a teacher looking at us. He tighten his fist in frustration, "this isn't the end of it," he said as he walked away.

"I believe it is," he growled as Lucas walked away off into the distance.

As soon as Lucas left, Ky spun me around and looked at me with eyes filled with worry and passion. He placed his hands softly on my arms, pulling me closer to him.

"Are you alright?" He said.

"I'm fine, Ky."

"How dare a bloody human touch my mate," he started to get angry.

"I wanted to kill him, to teach him a lesson, I-"

"Shhh," I said interrupting his raging.

I put my hands on his waist and I walked closer to him, placing my forehead on his. Letting my scent calm down my possessive and over protective Alpha. I can hear him inhale my scent as his breath slowly and quietly calm down, he placed his hands on my waist and he lowered his mouth to my neck.

"I love you, Serena. You and only you. If anything would have happened to you I-"

"You would never forgive yourself," I said finishing his sentence and he nodded in my neck.

"I feel the same way, Ky," I said and I wrapped my arms tightly around him and bringing him closer so our bodies would touch. His arms soon wrapped around me, holding on to me like his life depended on it and it probably did...for both of us. We didn't just loved each other, wanted each other......we needed each other, we craved each other.

I was able to keep Ky calm in 4th and 5th period and I thought we would have no more problems......until we walked into our 7th period. Science.

As we walked into the classroom, Ms.Wreath was standing behind her desk waiting to start class. The students soon poured in, me and Ky decided to sit at the back table, the tables only seated two people. I was about to sit down when Ms.Wreath said...

"Serena Havenmoon..."

I looked at her with a dumbfounded expression, "Yes?" I asked standing up straight.

"You and Ky have been spending too much time together...I think it's time for you to sit with someone else." She said and she began to look around the room, then her eyes spotted the perfect place to put me, the. She looked at me.

"I want you and Eric to switch places," I looked to where Eric was sitting. He was sitting in one of the tables that was in the front of the room, the middle table between the two outer front tables. I thought that this wouldn't be to bad sitting right in front of Ms.Wreath, but that was before I saw who was sitting next to Eric, the person who I would be sitting by...Lucas. My eyes shot up and Ms.Wreath.

"But Ms.Wreath-"

"No but' s, sit," she commanded.

I grabbed my back pack and I slowly walked to Eric's former seat, walking pass him as he went to mine. My eyes were locked with Ms.Wreath' s.

"You better hope nothing happens," I mind linked to her.

"What do you mean?"

"Well, let's just say...if anything happens. We better hope Ky can keep himself calm until the bell rings."

I sat down next to Lucas, his eyes scanning my body and I thought I could hear Ky struggle to keep himself under control. Ms. Wreath looked at me with shock and gave me an "Oh no" expression, I gave her an "Oh yes" expression. Me and her locked eyes for a while, then she cleared her throat, snapping out of her thinking.

"Alright then let's begin," she said turning around and and beginning to write on the white board. As she began to write you could tell all her senses were up and ready, in case anything did happen. She turned around and you could tell that she was an edge, waiting to jump up at any giving moment.

"Can anyone tell me what cell theory is?" She asked and her hands scanned the room for hands.

We were halfway through class and we were reading in our textbooks all taking turns on reading how the body system works. So far Lucas has done anything, yet. Sara was reading a paragraph from the text book and I was silently following along when I felt a hand on my leg. I tensed up, I didn't have to look who's hand it was......I already knew it was the idiot blockhead, Lucas. I could hear Ky growl as his hands gripped onto the table in front of him. Lucas slowly moved his hand up and down my thigh before I grabbed it and pried it off my leg. I could feel Ky's piercing eyes wanting to stab Lucas.

"Ethan, please read the paragraph titled "Muscle"," Ms.Wreath said and Ethan began to read, her eyes falling back into the text book. There was 20 minutes left of class. My hand laid on the table as I slowly read along with the words Ethan spoke. Lucas' hand slowly and gently stroked my hand as it laid out onto the table, I could feel Ky's anger grow more and more. I was afraid that he was going to explode and kill Lucas right here in front of everybody. I quickly removed my hand from Lucas' letting it lay in my lap.

"Rick, please read "Eyes"," Ms.Wreath said...10 minutes left of class. I thought that Lucas won't do anything else since class was almost out, but he did something that was the final wall to hold Ky back. I don't know how or when, but Lucas was able to put his hand under my shirt, his cold thumb stroking my bare skin. My body tensed and I grabbed Lucas' wrist and pried his hand out of my shirt, I looked at him and he was smirking. Filled with pleasure of what he just done, I could feel Ky about to explode, trying his best to hold himself back, his hands gripping the table tightly and his jaw clenched, his red eyes blazing widely. I looked at the clock.

"5 minutes, just 5 more minutes. You can do it Ky," I mind linked to him.

"Be quiet, Serena!"

Then the bell rang, Ky's hands slammed down onto the table as he got up. He grabbed his back pack and he literally ran out of the room, anger has filled his whole body. I got up and quickly followed him, but he walked too fast for me to catch up. He had to go, if he didn't get out of here soon......he was going to kill Lucas, no matter how much anyone would try to stop him. By the time I was able to get out to the parking lot, car was already in his car and he drove off, his tires making a high shrieking sound. I was standing in front of the school watching as he drove off, the Betas soon joined me at my side.

"What happened?" Jason asked as all their eyes follow Ky's car off into the distance. I was filled with rage and anger.

"I guess you can come home with me now," Lucas said behind me.

I turned around and looked at him, he was smirking with mischief in his eyes. I glared at him and I could tell the others were glaring at him as well, I walked over to him and looked at him in the eyes. I placed my hands gently on his shoulders and he smiled at my touch.

"That's a good gi-" He wasn't able to finished his sentence...because I had just kicked him where no boy wants to be kicked...their weak spot. He fell onto his side, his back arched from the pain that he had just encountered, his knees were pulled together as his hands covered his manhood. I kneel down in front of him, making sure his eyes could see mine.

"The next time you touch me like that......I'll make sure you won't ever have children," I growled and I stood up and began to walk away. Leaving him crumbled on the floor, The Betas followed me as I walked out into the parking lot.

"What are you going to do?" Daren asked.

"Alice...take my back pack and take it to my house," I said handing Alice my back pack and she nodded.

"What about your homework?"

"Me and Ky finished it during class, I want all of you to go home. Alice, you can go home after you drop my back pack off, give it to my mother and tell her I'm going to spend the night at Ky's house."

"Right!" She said with determination.

"Where are you going," Jason said with concern in his voice.

"Where else, the only place I know Ky would be," I said giving him a smile.

"How are you going to get there?" Sakura asked.

"How else...by paws," I said giving her a grin and she smiled right back at me.

"Serena...be careful," Jason said.

"I will don't worry, I'll see you all tomorrow, bye."

"Bye," they all said in unison and I ran to the woods that I was across the street. Once I was in the woods I transformed into my white wolf and I ran with all my speed and all my might. Heading for the one place where Ky always goes to calm down...his home, what a better place to calm down.

"I'm coming Ky!" I mind linked to him but I got no answer.
