I ran home with all my power, with all my strength, with all my speed. My paws hit the concrete with so much force, so much energy, I felt like I could fly. At any minute I could take off, if I just supplied, enough force, enough speed, I could fly. Fly and never come back, well......maybe come back after a while.

I soon got to my house and I transformed back into my human form, my dress flayed out by the wind. I started to walk up the drive way, When I saw my mom come out of the house with the face of worry. I froze, she wasn't wearing her dress anymore, she was wearing a plain long sleeve shirt and jeans. I looked at her and she looked at me, I was holding my breath. My dad soon came rushing out of the house, his face filled with worry as well, he stood behind my mom as they looked at me. My mom extended her arms out to me.

"It's okay baby girl, it's okay..." She mind linked to me.

I could feel tears about to sting my eyes and I ran into my mother's arms. She caught me, wrapping her arms around me, I placed my head on her shoulder and she placed her' s on my head. My dad placed his hand on my back, stroking his hand up and down trying to calm myself.

"Shh......we know. It's okay, It's okay," my mom cooed in her soothing voice.

"It's alright, baby girl...calm down," my dad said in his husky and reassuring voice.

I tighten my grip on my mom as she did the same to me. Her hand slowly stroked my long wavy hair. We stood there in the dead of night, silent, quite, I'm glad I had parents that understood, I'm glad they're my parents. I'm glad to know when ever I fall, they would be there to pick me back up, I'm grateful and unbelievably lucky.

"Thank you mom. Thank you dad." I mind linked to them.

So unbelievably and utterly...lucky.

* Ky's P.O.V *

After everyone left, I changed into a black t-shirt and dark blue jeans. I walked from my room back out to the balcony, where I first kissed Serena. I leaned against the balcony wall with my elbows, I closed my eyes and took in the night air. Serena' s blazing blue eyes popped back into my head, my open my eyes and sighed. What did I do wrong?

"Son?"

I turned around and I saw my dad standing in the door way, still wearing his party clothes. I looked at him, scanning his face, worry, of course. I turned back around and I looked out into the world, the moon lighting up the forest.

"What," I growled.

I heard his foot steps walk towards me, he stood next to me, his hands on the balcony wall. I could feel his eyes on me, but I didn't look at him, my eyes were scanning the forest. Looking for her.

"Aren't you going to look for her?" He asked.

I glared at him, I knew that this isn't how an Alpha should act when his mate disobeyed him. He isn't suppose to be moping, he knows that she would come back, begging him to take her back. I stood up, turned around, and crossed my arms in front of my chest, leaning up against the balcony wall.

"No and why should I. She disobey me, she would soon learn what she has done and she would come back. And if she does, who knows if I should take her back or not, I could always make Rachel my mate, the future Luna," I told him.

"Knock the act off, boy!" He barked.

"What are-" I began to protest.

"Your words say one thing, but your eyes say another," his eyes narrowed on me. I was taken a back by his words and I fell silent and looked at the ground.

He sighed, "listen Ky, just because your an Alpha, doesn't mean your heartless."

"But she disobeyed me!" I protested.

"And she has every right to."

"What?"

"Look, not only is Serena your beta, she is also your mate. betas are designed to disobey an order or two for the protection of their leader. She is also your other half, she has about the same power as you do."

"But the situation tonight, wasn't for my safety. So why did she disobey when I-"

"You really don't get it do you?" He said and I looked at him dumb founded.

He sighed, "it's because you defended Rachel," he finally said.

"But an Alpha' s job is to protect the ones that are weak and stop fights. I did that-"

"But you did it the wrong way."

"What do you mean?" I said giving him a confused expression.

"You punished Serena, when you should've punished Rachel." He paused and it was silent.

"You hurt her Ky. How do you think it looked like to her when you protected Rachel and punched her? When you gave her the punishment and let Rachel go home punished free? When you said she was "just" your beta.........you made it look like you picked Rachel as your mate. That Serena was nothing about another member to your pack."

My side leaned against the balcony wall as I gripped it, as he spoke. He was right......I didn't even......I didn't even think of it. I......I'm an idiot, what have I done? I could hear my dad sigh with relief, I looked at him and he was smiling. He put his hand behind my neck, making me look at him, his eyes fading back to brown.

"Do you understand now?" He asked and I nodded.

"Good......now. Get your mate back before you become a lovesick puppy," my dad said while rubbing my head and then walking away to the balcony door.

"I would not become a lovesick puppy!" I protested.

He looked at me with a cocky smile, "say' s the boy who couldn't stand one day with out her. Now stop being a dumb headed Alpha and get your mate back before it's to late."

He placed his hands in his pocket and he walked away with a wide grin on his face. I watched as he walked away, then I looked back out onto the forest.

Serena, I thought.

* Serena' s P.O.V *

I had changed out of my dress and put on black colored jeans and a long sleeve deep red shirt. I had took all my jewelry off and I was now in the bathroom looking at myself in the mirror. I was scanning the side of my face where Ky punched me. He punched me right under my eye, where my cheek bone was, it started to turn black and bruise, but it wasn't that big and it would go away in the morning.

I sighed and shrugged, I walked out of the bathroom and I fell onto my bed. The back of my head landing onto my pillow, I sighed feeling the softness of my warm bed. Sunday......I have school tomorrow......crap! That would mean that I would have to see Ky tomorrow since all of our classes are together. I still find it funny that our principal let's humans into our school, there we are at a huge risk of showing off who we are, of showing them who we really are. Oh well, schools school, right? I looked at the clock, it's barely 7:30, I sat up and looked at the door of my bedroom. I'll guess I'll go watch T.V......

"Oooooowwww."

And that's when I heard it, Ky's howling. It was beckoning me, calling me. I was frozen on my bed as I clutched my head, his howl was laced with pain and I hated it. He was calling me, wanting me to come, all my instincts told me to go to him, to obey my Alpha, to go to my mate. I wanted to run to him, it felt like chains were wrapped around me pulling me to him, to be with him.

"Oooooooowwwwwwwwwwwww."

His howls became louder and it became harder to disobey, to let my anger win over my instincts. Then the door open, it was my mom, her face was covered in worry.

"Serena...he' s calling."

"I know mom," I said about to go running throughout the door. His howls got louder.

"Serena...I know you don't want to, but go to him. This ain't good for you, it's not in your nature to not go to your Alpha' s beck and call," she said stepping from in front of the door way.

"I know mom, I know but-"

"Come to me Serena, come on baby, come," Ky mind linked with me.

I clutched my head tighter, "no! Not after what you did!" I mind linked back to him.

"Serena, please-"

"No!"

"Serena Havenmoon, come. Now!" He mind linked using his Alpha voice.

I growled, "Fine." I mind linked giving into his demands and I ran.

I ran pass my mom, through my bedroom door, down the stairs, through the front door, and finally I jumped onto the street, my white paws feeling the black concrete. The moon was staring down at me, lighting my way to Ky's house. My paws hit the ground strong and powerful, picking up speed as the wind sang their whispy tune in my ears.

"Serena, please have forgiveness for him. He's an Alpha and you know how......aggressive they can be," my mom mind linked me.

"I know mom, I know. It's just it's hard to forgive someone who had hurt your heart."

"Serena..." Her voice was sincere.

"Mom......forgiveness is never easy."

That was the last thing I said and the last thing I heard from my mom as I ran to Ky's house. I quickened my pace and howled, throwing my head up to the air as I ran, telling him that I was coming.

It didn't take me long to get to Ky's house, I walked up the drive way, my black converse walking on the concrete. I reached the door and put my hand in a fist about to knock when the door flew opened, Rebecca was standing there looking at me. I slowly put my hand down and unravel it from my fist.

"How did you kn-"

"I should know my own daughter-in-laws scent," Rebecca said interrupting me.

"I'm not going to be your daughter-in-law," I said sincerely.

She gave me a smile, "I told him that he better make it right with you or I would never forgive him."

"Rebecca-"

"No buts. Serena, I know you love him and he loves you, he just has a hard time showing it."

I looked down at the ground, thinking about Rebecca had said. I do love Ky, but how can I handle him when he goes all Alpha on me. I was taken out of my thinking when Rebecca placed her hand on my cheek, I looked at her.

"Serena, I wouldn't have chosen anyone else more perfect for my boy. I know I could breath easily knowing that he has you. So, I'm begging you, please forgive him, he can get hot tempered sometimes, but he does love you. He's loved you for a very long time and I think you have has well."

I nodded my head and she gave me a reassuring smile.

"So...will you forgive him?"

I gave her a smile and I nodded.

"That's my girl. But Serena don't forgive him so easily. Make him work for your forgiveness," she said giving me a sly grin.

"Don't worry I will," I said as she stepped aside, letting me inside.

"Good, now......go get him."

I nodded and I began to walk up the stairs to his room. I could feel Rebecca's eyes following me up the stairs, making sure that I was going to be alright. I made it to the top of the stairs and I disappeared behind the hallway walls, Ky's room was at the end of the hall, the opposite side of the dance hall.

"Make him work for your forgiveness," Rebecca's voice popped back into my head.

Don't worry Rebecca, I won't forgive him that easily. I soon got to Ky's bedroom door, I could smell his scent and he could smell mine.

"Come in," he said from behind the door.

I took a deep breath and I placed my hand on the door knob. My heart was steady, not being quickened from the scent of my so called mate. I turned the knob and I pulled the door open, his room was huge, on the right side of me was a king size bed, on my left was a flat screen T.V. His room was huge but I didn't get a good look at it before my eyes landed on Ky, his arms were crossed in front of his chest and he glared at me. I closed the door behind me, I turned around to look at him again, standing up straight and tall.

"You...wanted to see me, Alpha?" I asked in a calm voice.

"Yes, I do," he said in a stern voice.

He paused and I was getting annoyed, "Well?"

"I believe you owe me an apology."

"An apology!?" I asked about to start protesting.

"Yes, an apology. For disobeying me and making a fool out of myself."

"Is this what this is about?!"

"Yes," he said his eyes turning a vibrant red.

I couldn't look at him anymore, I looked down to the ground, letting my bangs cover my now blazing blue eyes. My hands became fist at my sides and my jaw tightened in rage.

"Is that what I am to you. Just another person to control. I guess I was right, you did pick Rachel as your Luna," I spoke through my teeth.

"I never said that!" He protested taking a step closer to me.

"You didn't need to......you just did. And besides..." I paused and I started to shake with anger.

"I BET SHE WOULD MAKE A BETTER LUNA FOR YOU ANYWAY!" I shouted as I started to head for the door. I grabbed the door knob and I was able to get the door open halfway when it was slammed back shut. I froze, Ky was behind me, his hands on each side of my head were keeping the door shut, I turned around. He had pinned me against his bedroom door, my back and hands were pressed against the door as I looked into Ky's wanting and lust filled eyes.

"Perhaps your right, Rachel would be a good mate and she would be a better Luna," he said with a straight and stern face. My heart was pounding.

"She would always obey me no matter what I say. She's pretty, seductive, she can make me happy, so she would indeed make the perfect Luna."

I looked at him with eyes filled with rage and hatred.

"But..." he paused and he moved his face to my neck, my breath hitched at the sudden movement. My heart began to pound at a frantic pace, his hands stayed firmly placed on the door and so did mine.

"She's not you," he said into my neck and he brushed his lips against my neck, sending electricity down my spine.

"She may make me happy, but you make me utterly crazy," he said seductively. He slowly, gently trailed his lips up my neck to my jawbone. My eyes slowly closed from his intoxicating touch and my breath became heavy.

"She may be seductive, but your utterly enchanting." His lips slowly trailed up my jaw line and to my cheek, making me exhale a deep breath. He moved his head so we were nose to nose, I felt his hot breath on my lips. My tongue was dancing behind my lips just wanting to taste him and his hands slowly and seductively slid down the door and onto my waist, holding me tightly in his hands.

"She may be pretty, but your beautiful," he lightly brushed his lips against mine. His hands slowly slid down my waist to my legs, sending my body on fire. His hands slid down to the back of my thighs and he lifted me up, wrapping my legs around his waist, my breath hitched at the sudden movement. My heart was pounding uncontrollably as I wrapped my arms loosely around his neck.

"And besides it's your disobedience that makes you sexy. Now......do you forgive me?" He asked looking at me with sincere eyes. I bit my lip and nodded, wanting him to kiss me here and now, it's funny how weak this boy makes me seem.

He gave me a seductive smile, "that's my beta," he said and he slammed his lips into mine, tighten his grip on my thighs. He made the kiss deeper prying my mouth open, letting his seductive tongue roam my mouth before he found my own.

"Mmmm," he purred in enjoyment.

I tighten my arms around his neck, bringing him closer to me. Our mouths and tongues moved in sync, wanting each other, needing each other. My body was getting unbelievable hot and I was running out of air but I didn't want to stop and I could tell neither did he. He released my lips letting us gasp for a few moments of air before he slammed them into mine, wanting to devour me.

He walked us over to the bed, laying me on my back with him on top with my legs still wrapped around him. His body laying against mine, feeling every inch of each other, my body was getting extremely hot, he was sweet and addicting, he released my lips both of us panting for air one more time, my arms and legs unwrapped themselves from his body as he kissed and sucked on my neck. I moaned as he sucked on my skin and I bit my lip, he placed his hand on my knee and he slowly moved it up my leg. I groaned at the feel of it, his mouth was still on my neck when I felt his canines.

"Ky, stop......please not yet," I whimpered, he was getting ready to mark me.

"I can't wait any longer, baby. I've waited to long," and with that he sank his canines into me.

I whimpered at the pain, but it soon faded away as Ky licked the wound. Ky then rolled off of me, laying next to me, his arms wrapped around me, pressing me to his chest. He kissed my forehead sweetly, letting his lips linger on my skin. Then I noticed something......we have school tomorrow.

"Ky?"

"Yeah," he said looking down at me.

"What time is it?"

"9:00, why?" He looked at me with curiosity.

"We have school tomorrow."

"So...?"

"So, I can't stay here. I have to get home and go to sleep," I said getting out of the bed, but Ky's arms tightened around me, pulling me to him.

"But this is your home."

"Ky, I can't leave my family just to come live with you."

"And why not!" He was getting angry, his eyes were shining a light red.

"Look, if you don't want to take me home. I'll just go by myself."

He growled, "fine, but sooner or later you are moving in this house with me." He growled as he got out of bed and headed for the door.

"Ky-" I began to whine as I soon followed him.

"No, buts..." He turned around and he grabbed both if my hands in his and he pulled me to him, placing my forehead on his.

"I've spend enough time without you, hasn't that been enough," he said with so much pain and emotion that it stabbed my heart.

"Ky, I-"

"Come on, let's...let's get you home," he said letting go of my hands, he turned around and then walked through the door. I slowly walked behind him.

I never thought about it, about how long Ky has been waiting for me. How long has he fought the urge to kiss me or make me his, to having to wait for your mate to find out that she belongs to you. I never thought how hard that could be, he know what I was to him but in fear of scaring me he didn't tell me that I was his and besides I probably wouldn't have believed him anyway. Alpha' s find out who their mate is way before normal werewolves do, an Alpha knows his mate the minute they meet them. But wolves like me or lower in rank don't know until they reach the age of 18, so you could have been next to your mate for years and not even know until you turn 18. So how long......how long did Ky have to wait?

I looked up at him, he was taking me to the garage were his black Ferrari was. I've only been in his car once, I was 16, it was when he offered me a ride and I excepted. It was one of the last days we had together before, he said that I could use it anytime when he was gone, but it was never the same with out him in that car and I soon got my own car, a silver Ferrari.

We climbed into the car and we drove off, heading to my home.

How long...ky. How long have you been waiting for me? How long?
