Chapter 5

I stretch and wipe some sweat from my face. I roll over and see Luka sleeping in the chair. I smile, then frown when I don’t see Jason. I wish I could mind link him but I can’t I am too weak. I get out of bed and grab some new shorts and a tank top. I grab some undies and walk across the hall after looking both ways. All wolves should be on patrol or asleep by now.

Coast is clear. 

I lock the bathroom door and turn the shower on cold. I strip and hop in, rinsing off the layer of sweat that was resting on my skin. I wash up my body and wash and condition my hair. I hop out and dry off. I quickly put on my undies, shorts and tank top.

I walk out of the bathroom and walk into Jason’s bedroom.

“EMMA! Oh god there you are!” Jason says as he pulls me close to him.

“Oh hi.” I smiles hugging him.

“Where were you?” He asks.

“Showering. I woke up with a strong scent and my sweat dripping off me.” I blush.

“Mmmm.. So, I missed you at your peak.” He smiles as his nose travels down my neck breathing in my scent.

“Jason.” I moan as he come back up to my face.

He smiles as he cups my cheeks and places his lips on mine. It started out slow and soft until my heat kicked in and I pressed myself harder against him and tangled my hands in his hair. He pushes me up against a wall and puts his hands right below my bum on my thighs.

“Jump.” He mumbles on my lips.

I jump up and he holds me close. He pushes harder onto me and I can feel his bulge growing. I moan on his lips and he lets his tongue in. He rubs his tongue up against mine moaning and thrusting against me.

“Emma? Jason- Oh god! I-” Luka starts and is cut off by Jason’s growl.

“It’s okay Jase. I’m not ready.” I whisper to him. Jason looks at me with black eyes and he nods.

“Okay, Okay. I will wait.” Jason says and kisses my cheek.

‘Idiot!’ My wolf growls at me.

“I’m so sorry guys.” Luka says as he leaves.

I blush realizing my brother just saw what we were doing.

“Baby, I came to tell you something earlier.” Jason says as his face goes serious and saddened.

“Wh-what’s going on?” I ask.

“It’s your father.” Jason says.

“What happened to my-” I am cut off by my brother howling. I bolt out the door knowing that I am at my peak of heat. I angrily run to my old home and see my father ripped to shreds. Blood and guts spread everywhere. The house is decorated with it.

I feel my stomach turn and I run out of the house throwing up over the front porch.

“Emma. I am sorry. I tried.” Jason says rubbing my back as my stomach empties.

“You promised! You said I had nothing to worry about! I could have been here for him if you would have listened to me!” I yell at my mate.

“I’m sorry.” He says as he allows his head to drop in submission, “I didn’t mean for this to happen. I tried.”

“I-I-I can’t.” I say shifting into my wolf and running into the forest. I know Jason is following me. I mean I would expect him not to let me go off alone. I am in heat. I run to the border of our pack lands then turn around.

“I know your here.” I say.

“Emma, I am so sorry.” Jason says as he comes out in his wolf form.

“This isn’t your fault.” I say and lie down, lying my large wolf head into my arms.

He comes over and nudges my head as he lets a whimper go. “I love you.” He says lying down with me but, his head is on mine.

“I love you to Jason.” I say.

My dad is gone. At least he doesn’t have to suffer anymore without mum. Well, mum is on life support. I will probably tell Jason to take her off. I mean, she’s basically dead. We only had her on it for dad’s sanity.

“Jase,” I mumble.

“Yah?” He asks.

“Can you tell the doctor to take my mum off life support?” I ask.

“Why?” He asks.

“She’s basically dead. We only had her living for dad, but it’s time she goes to rest.” I say looking at my paws.

“Okay, I will do that for you baby.” Jason says licking my head.

After a moment of letting a few stray tears fall I get up a little shaky with Jason by my side.

“Take it easy baby.” He says, “Would you like to shift?” He asks.

“No, I need clothes.” I say and walk off with him following me.

“Okay,” He says and then we walk off in a comfortable silence back to the pack house.

“I will be in the room. Please go tell the doc.” I say and he nods. He shifts behind a tree and comes back wearing boxer briefs and pants.

I nod good bye and walk into the pack house. I walk up to our room and shift. I quickly put on my bra, undies, white short shorts, and a gray muscle shirt with a sailboat on it. I lie on the bed, my face smushed into a pillow. Everything hurts. Is it the heat? What’s going on?!

‘Jase. H-Help. It’s hurts.’

I scream out in pain as I wait for him to reply through mind link.

‘What? I haven’t taken your mother off yet. Wait. I am coming home soon babe. Just relax. I will take the pain away.’

‘Okay, Hurry.’

I know Jason and the doc took my mother off life support because I can feel her leaving. I hear Luka howl a angry howl and I mind link him.

‘Luka you know this is for the best.’

‘You did this?’

‘Luka.. Mum needed it.’

‘Okay, your right.’

‘I love you. Can you come see me I need a hug.’

‘On my way. Be there in 30-45 minutes.’

‘Where are you?’

‘South end.’

‘I gotta go, Jase is coming up.’

“Your getting stronger.” Jason says coming into my room with eyes as black as night.

“What do you mean?” I ask.

“Your scent god damn it!” He growls.

“Jason your scaring me.” I say backing up.

He features soften before he kisses my lips hungrily. I can’t help but moan and kiss him back harder, the need in me coursing through my veins. He pushes me back onto the bed and smiles into the kiss.

“Jason, please, it hurts.” I say.

“I know babe. I know, we aren’t going all the way okay.” He says and I look at him.

“Please.” I cry.

“No, you don’t want that right now. I will take some pain away but, I am not going to do something you don’t want.” He says.

I nod and scream as the pain gets worse.

“Okay, help me out a bit.” He says as he lifts my shirt up. I sit upwards and he takes it off.

“JASON!” I cry.

He rips off my clothes and rids his. He pulls me closer and cuddles me naked. He kisses my face and cresses my back.

“Feeling better?” He whispers.

“Yes, but I-I need you.” I say.

“I know, I know.” He says and brushes my hair.

“Emmy?” Luka says coming in, only to have Jason roll me over and hide my body, “S-S-Sorry alpha.”

“GET OUT!” He growls fiercely.

“Luka?” I say as I look towards the door.

“Sorry Emma. I didn’t think you were going to mate so soon.” Luka says.

“We are not mating, yet! Get out! MY MATE HAS NO CLOTHES ON!” Jason’s angry voice echo’s throughout the house.

“I am s-s-sorry. I will be at home if you need me Emma.” Luka says as he backs out of the room locking and closing the door.

“Jason. Seriously?” I ask and moan as I feel his friend against me.

“Luka and the others will never see you this way.” He growls in my ear making me moan.

“P-Please.” I say as I go to grab him down there but, he grabs my hand with werewolf speed and shakes his head.

“I want you to want it and love it.” He says kissing my forehead before rolling over and pulling me into his arms, “So, for now we will make the pain go away as much as possible.”

“Jason. I want to.” I say.

“No, it’s the heat. You’ll thank me later.” He says kissing my forehead again.

“Jason.” I whine.

“Now, Em. Go to bed.” He says.

“Fine.” I say resting my head on his chest. I glide my hand down and he grabs my hand.

“Emma.” He says in a warning tone.

“Good night.” I grumble.

“Night babe.” He says and I fall asleep to the beating of his heart.
