Chapter 21

Jimin stood in the common room with a displeased look on his handsome face.

He felt an itch all over him as if he were in a room full of cockroaches. He bit down on his tongue to stop the unimpressed sneer that his lips threatened to pull up.

He'd finally managed to get away from that insufferable suck up Dr. Kim. If Jimin hated anything it was someone who was a kiss ass, and usually because of who he was it ended up being everyone around him going out of their way to get a snippet of his attention. He hated that. But unfortunately they were the cons that came with being drop dead gorgeous and CEO/ part time model.

He let out a sigh as he ran an accessory laden hand through his blonde silver locks, a stray strand falling back over his face annoyingly.

With a simple click of his fingers a silent order at the two security guards, to have the room cleared. They immediately started to usher out the patients and staff swiftly, closing the doors behind them for privacy.

Jung Hoseok sat on one of the couches, a white chess piece between his slim fingers as he gazed at it with a daydreaming look, lost in his musings not reacting in the slightest to the room that quickly emptied its inhabitants, leaving himself and Jimin alone in the common room.

The silver haired male took a seat opposite the brunette, swinging one leg over the other as he slouched back comfortably, calculating gaze never leaving Hoseok's uninterested face. The air became thick and still. A wall seemingly forming between the two men. Although the atmosphere was thick with tension, neither male showed any sort of discomfort.

"So, how'd you like it here?" Jimin questioned finally, a smirk dancing on his pink lips. "Is it comfy enough for you? You have plenty of souls to torment, you should feel right at home." He goaded idly.

Hoseok's face dropped into a scowl, his fist clenching around the chess piece. His eyes slid over to Jimin's, challenging and menacing.

"How'd you think, Park?" He hissed leaning forward to put the queen piece down on the chess board firmly with a loud clack, and leaned back again. "How is it pretending to be king up in those ivory towers?"

"Ah, but Hobi-" Jimin tilted his head innocently, enjoying how Hoseok brow twitched with irk at the nickname, "this place is a hole, just where you belong. I like what you've done with the doctor though, nice touch. His brain is so jumbled the poor man thinks he's saving his patients by torturing them."

Hoseok didn't crack a smile at Jimin's praise, he only grew more annoyed at the younger's presence.

The brunette closed his eyes. "I didn't have to do much, as I haven't been here too long. His father was already insane. Dr. Kim's father was the one who ran this place before him. Pretty sure it was his father that drove that reporter to suicide years ago," Hoseok recounted.

"I'm a little disappointed with Yoongi though, he's not done much, but why am I surprised?" Jimin sighed. Hoseok frowned.

"Hmm, I'm not sure what Joonie's been up to, but I know that he managed to get himself arrested recently. How clumsy of him. And they say he's the smartest of all of us. But I guess he does get blinded with his emotions from time to time," Jimin went on, knowing full well that Hoseok would rather be suffocated than be in the same room as him.

The silver haired prince was trying to find a weak point.

"You must be happy that you have a new nurse to look after you too. (Y/n) wasn't it? She's oh so very sweet, just one bite of that soul. I think she'd be delicious," Jimin said swiping his tongue over his bottom lip leaving it glistening.

Hoseok's eyes snapped up to Jimin's.

Bingo.

"You can't do that because I've decided to claim her already," Hoseok spoke up suddenly.

Oh. Now the CEO hadn't expected that.

It was Jimin's turn to glare.

"Stay away from her." He said sharply, his aura turning dangerous. "I've given you plenty of toys to play with already."

Jimin had waited for something just like that feeling for so long. He could taint any other girl or boy that he wished too. But you...You had managed to slither your way into his mind from a few looks and words, and stuck there.

Jimin was not about to let Hoseok take something he finally found interest in. Nor Yoongi for that matter, though he didn't think he needed to worry too much about the latter standing in the way.

Hoseok wasn't phased in the slightest, a cat like grin spreading across his face.

"Ah but that would be difficult, as she is my nurse after all. What a pity for you. And you know I don't share, you know how greedy I can be," the flash in Hoseok's eyes was wicked. "And you know just how pissy I can get when my possessions are taken from me."

The two had a stare off, and ice seemed to grow between them. Neither of them said a word for a few moments. Until Jimin broke the stiff silence.

"You know at first I wasn't sure that I was happy when I found out she was here, I worried for a second that yourself or Min would get to her first before I could. But then I realised, she won't be staying here long. Once she's exorcised you, she'll leave, and I'll be able to swoop in."

Hoseok grit his teeth. Oh how he'd love to punch that man in his perfect jaw and knock it out of place. Wouldn't look so great on magazines then now would it?

"There's not much you can do about it. With a click of my fingers, I could have you in a straight-jacket, in fact I could make her life so much easier by having the hospital staff restrain you and let her exorcise you right here." Jimin craned his neck upwards and chuckled dryly before looking back down directly at Hoseok, "but where's the fun in that?"

Hoseok's brown bangs hung over his eyes. Eyes that were like black ice.

"Your arrogance and ego will be your downfall, Park. I just hope that I'll still be around to watch you fall."

With an uninterested hum, Jimin stood, hands deep in his pockets.

"Too bad you won't be there for that. Because its not happening. Ever."

With that, Jimin strode towards the exit only pausing momentarily to offer a few final words.

"Goodbye, Jung. I'll see you in hell, then I can call you by your real name."

The doors closed behind him with a bang, leaving Hoseok sat there with his blood boiling. The chess pieces had fallen on their own, rolling on the chess board by themselves until they stopped, the white queen still in its rightful place.

This changed things. Hoseok was not expecting Jimin to have such an interest in a person ever, much less have an interest in you.

The brunette wasn't sure why, but he had grown fond of your existence, even found himself wondering the halls aimlessly at times until he realised he had been looking for you specifically.

Since when had he stooped so low as to crave attention from someone, let alone a human? But then he realised that no, he wasn't really above wanting attention, he was always craving it, from anyone.

In groaned in frustration.

He recalled you saying that you would read to him. You still hadn't. Was little (Y/n) a little liar?

Things weren't looking so great for him. He probably could have dealt with you and your little friend, but because Jimin had made an unexpected appearance, he was quite surely fucked. Yoongi would be fine. That black haired man was like a snake, always managing to get out of the stickiest situations unscathed despite how lazy he was. In a way Hoseok imagined that Yoongi wouldn't even give a shit if he was destroyed in an exorcism. He just did not care about anything.

Hoseok couldn't help the anxious feeling that began to form within him, feeling like his days may be numbered...

Perhaps he could find a way to convince you to not do your job...

First mention of Namjoon and everybody's probably like FUCKING FINALLY how long did that need to take?

So I'm going back to work on the 15th, which means unfortunately updates won't be as frequent. It is a full time job so it does take up most of my time but don't worry, I'll still be working on chapters and updates as much as I can, it'll just be a little slower than usual.

I wanted to thank you all for being so supportive and amazing with your religious reading, voting and commenting, honestly my heart swells in happiness when I see the notifications. I have been trying to show my thanks by dedicating chapters to people but I only have so many chapters and a lot more of you so its difficult. Just know that I'm so grateful to all of you!

Anyways, that being said, thanks again, I hope you're taking care of yourselves during these times and I'll see you very soon! <3 -Rikki
