My phone started ringing 'Megalovania' from Undertale (aka Sans Battle Song) which meant I was getting a phone call. Sean and I only slightly backed away, but not by much.

"Can you ignore it?" Jack asked with a pouty face.

I was about to grab it but the ringing stopped.

"I guess I won't have to then..."

We started leaning in once more when it went off again as our lips grazed each other, not enough to call a kiss.

"God damn it..." I grunted while grabbing my phone from my back pocket and backing away from Jack to resume swinging.

"(Y/N)! OH MY GOD WHERE THE FUCK ARE YOU? WERE YOU KIDNAPPED? DID YO-"

It was Charlotte.

"No Charlie. If I was, do you really think I would have my phone?"

"Well... good point. But I woke up and you're not here and it's 2:34 in the morning dude! Where are you?"

I looked over at Jack who was looking down and upset, kicking the dirt under the swing he was in.

"I'm just out with a friend..."

"Past curfew?!" She sounded worried.

"I'm fine and I'll be home in a few hours. I got to go." I hung up.

Jack looked over at me and leaned in fast and close, but not close enough to reach my lips. I pushed him away and got up.

"Sorry, Jack. The moment's gone."

"Yeah... right..."
He continued to look down as he sat on the swing.

I felt bad...

I walked over to him and sat on his lap. I put my head on his shoulder and whispered lightly in his ear, "Sorry, Sean." And kissed his cheek and the corner of his lips by mistake before nuzzling into his chest where he put his hands on my waist and chin on the top of my head and we sat on the swing and rocked for a while.

We started walking back half an hour later, hand in hand. At least I'll get a couple hours of sleep...

We got over the wall and started for my dorm.

Once we got to my building I turned and said "Bye, Jack." and went to walk in.

But he grabbed my wrist and turned me back around to face him.

"(y/n)... listen... I had fun tonight. Do you maybe wanna... hang out again sometime?"

"I'd love to."

I snatched him up in a hug. He felt like a teddy bear that was so warm and comfy, like he'd be good to cuddle with.

We hugged for what seemed forever, and I could tell neither of us wanted to let go.

But I did first.

"I'll see you in literature in the morning... okay?" I asked him.

"That is if I decide to show up." We both laughed.

I walked toward the door, and when I was about three feet away from it...

"So even after all that..." Jack lightly chuckled . "... I still don't get my kiss?" I blushed and bit my finger.

I turned around and blew him a kiss. He jumped really high and grabbed at the air as if to catch it, then slammed it to his lips and fell to the ground.

I giggled and opened the door. I looked back to him once more to see him dusting himself off until he saw I was watching him. He then awkwardly smiled and scratched his neck, and waved bye to me.

I smiled and entered inside.
