Chapter 3
"You're kidding me." Lydia Han crossed her arms and stared at the mirror. Agent Sierra smirked.
"You look beautiful."
"You expect me to wear this?" Lydia tried to tug her ridiculously short miniskirt down. "I'm a sophmore and I would never wear this!"
"Fifteen grand," Agent Sierra reminded her. "We can always pass this mission on."
Lydia sighed. "No, no, I'll take it."
"Perfect!" Agent Sierra clapped. "And now for the makeup!"
Lydia groaned. "Are you trying to imply that I look ugly?"
Agent Sierra ignored her and pulled her over to the bubbly girl who had styled her. The girl clapped.
"Yay! You look amazing! Okay, so I was thinking light blush and some bright eyeshadow..."
Lydia jerked back as the girl came towards her eye with a sharp pencil.
"Not happening. Stay away from my eye."
Agent Sierra shot Lydia a death glare. Lydia glared back. Then she reluctantly sat back down.
"Okay, fine. Go ahead."
Half an hour later, Lydia looked like a high schooler from a movie. Sharpay Evans, maybe. Bright. Pink. Cheery. Lydia smiled at herself.
"Oh my gosh!" She tried to squeal. Agent Sierra peered around the sparkly suitcase Lydia couldn't believe was expected to use.
"Ex-cuse me?"
Lydia flushed bright pink. Pinker than her hot pink miniskirt.
"Uh - nothing."
"Sure." Agent Sierra ducked down and went back to adjusting the wheels. Lydia pulled out a small pen with a button.
"Alright, when will you explain how to use these fancy gadgets you've provided me?"
"Now." Agent Sierra stood up and dusted off her jeans. She hit the button on the pen, tapped a pattern against her palm, then hit the button again. The pen unfolded into a palm-sized screen.
"This pen is for emergencies." She hit the button again and the pen folded back up. "Lend it to no one."
Agent Sierra proceeded to show her a bunch of tiny gadgets. Lydia finally snatched the Gucci chain from her hand and tossed it in her purse.
"Oh my gosh I'm so happy to meet you," she cried, mimicking what Agent Sierra had taught her sarcastically. "Buh-bye, later honey!" And with that she turned and hurried home, where she changed into her comfiest sweats and bunny slippers.
