Chapter 6 - The Meeting with Hades

I walked through the double doors to Hade's mansion and marched in through the door.

"HADES?!" I yelled. I mean I had no plan of what to say but I wanted to yell at him for interfereing so badly.

I watched as Hades slowly decended his grand staircase in his foyer and gave me a devilish smile, "hello, dear sister!"

He glided down to me with that same smile plastered on his face.

"What are you doing Hades?!" I exclaimed.

This god gave the audacity to give me a confused look, "I honestly don't know what your saying sister."

I gave him a pointed look, "DONT GIVE ME THAT RUBBISH HADES!? Your trying to cause trouble and you know exactly what your doing?!"

Hades looked at me quizically; until something clicked.

"The girl!" he exclaimed; he then stared at my stern look until a wide smile appeared on his face, "it's your child.."

He never knew?! I have to think of something quickly.

"Yes. She is my daughter - I gave birth to her BEFORE I met your cheating brother!"

Hades gave me a look of rage, "DONT SPEAK OF MY BROTHER LIKE THAT?!"

I crossed my arms across my chest, "it's true though. And also I expect you to have the decency to let my daughter leave!"

Hades let out a chuckle, "thats not going to happen sister - I mean you did break my brothers heart - so I guess killing her is compensation. As you seem to be very fond of your daughter."

"NO HADES?!" I screamed out.

Hades gave out a laugh, "don't worry dear sister. I'll made sure she'll have a long and painful death." ending his proclamation with a menacing smile.

I screamed out at the evil Hades. I don't understand how he could be so heartless and still have a son. THAT'S IT?!

"Urgh - I hate you humans and part humans. I can never understand what you are thinking!" he exclaims.

"I want to see Xavier." I say happily.

Hades gives me a quizzical look before shrugging before moving to the side.

I quickly run up to Xavier's room and barge in. "XAVIER?" I call.

I watch as the boy pops out from the bathroom - freshly out of the shower.

"Nadine?" Xavier asks with a confused look.

"Where is the girl you gave that book to?" I asked quietly. Making sure to close the door behind me.

The boy goes red and looks down. I looked  at the boy, "she isn't already dead, is she?!" I asked in fear.

Xavier looked up at me and gave me a look of concern, "she's not going to die!"

I looked at Xavier, "but Hades just said that he was gonna kill her."

Xavier gave a look of fear until I also realised. I was distracted.

I turned towards Xavier's door before crying out, "NO. NOT MY DAUGHTER?!"

I cried tear after tear as I aggressively smashed my hands against the wooden door. I have to save her.

And with that I quickly swung Xavier's bedroom door open before sprinting down the corridor and down the stairs. Where would she be?

I heard a deafening scream come from below - which I knew to be my daughter since that's the same cry I heard when she was being birthed from me.

I was about to sprint down into Hades dungeon but was held back by Hades servants. I looked up at the grand stair case and watched as Xavier frantically stood at the top before collapsing and falling down the whole staircase.

I watched as blood poured out of his thigh and pool around him before screaming out myself. I watched as Xavier groaned and rolled around on the floor - something wasn't right here. I watched as one of the servants frantically sprinted down the dungeon stairs as I was still held back.

I watched as Hades returned from the dungeons and up to his son who was crumpled on the bottom of the stairs. Hades then shouted out a load of profanities before glaring at me.

"You lucky, lucky girl. Turns out - your daughter won't be hurt at all!" Hades seethed before stomping off and coming back with a medical bag before running back down to the dungeon.

I watched as Xavier slowly healed and layed on the ground with a sigh. I looked at the boy in shock, "WHAT THE HELL JUST HAPPENED?!"

Xavier groaned as Hades reappeared.

"Somehow - your daughters soul is attached to my sons! So until I can sort that out, your human daughter won't be killed!" Hades grumpily said before storming off out of the entrance foyer.

"Does that mean I can have my daughter back?!" I shouted to Hades who turned around angrily before storming off.

"Go ahead!" he said angrily before turning back around and continued to storm off.

I pushed the servants off of me and ran down to the dungeon. I ran down the corridor and came up to a cell which held my drowsy daughter in. Her brown hair was up in a messy bun as her dark brown eyes we're gone behind her restless eye lids, her cheeks were wet from her recent tears and her clothes were torn. My poor child....

I walked into the cell and packed her books back into her backpack including my journal and the Greek gods book. Before slinging her backpack on my back and kneeling besides her and delicately holding her upper arm before teleporting.

I changed my daughters clothes into some pyjamas and laid her into her dorm room bed. I went into her bathroom and dampened a cloth before going back into the room and cleaning her face and then delicately drying it with a dry towel.

I stared at my daughter and smiled at her. She truly is my child.

I held my hands over her body and focused on removing the memories of the underworld from her. I felt a tear slide down my face as I finished my spell and looked back down at my resting daughter and delicately placed a kiss on her forehead.

"I've always loved you my baby girl.." I quietly spoke before opening up her backpack and placing both my journal and the Greek god book on her bedside table, resting her reading glasses on top of both the books. I then placed her backpack on the nearest chair in her room. Before taking one last look at my daughter, "I promised you a normal life and I will keep that promise." I let out before vanishing from my daughters room.
