Chapter 4 - Captured
I yawned the next morning and looked around my dorm. What a night...
I drowsily looked at my stomach where the book about Greek gods laid and stared up at the ceiling.
Last night I had come to the most up most, ridiculous conclusion I could ever think of for where my mother may be. Just by the book alone about Greek gods - it's - it's truly absurd!
I believe that her journal speaks about her being with the Greek gods and in fact I have an inkling of a feeling that her speaking so much of the ocean makes sence in comparison to the journal - to relate to the god; Poseidon. I believe my mother may have had a crush on Poseidon in the god realm. Well, that's what they call it in this book.
I picked the greek god book up and looked at the cover. Trying to find an author that I may ask how they know this information at all. But there was nothing.
All this information that I just had and it may lead to another dead end as I can't find no author and I certainly don't know how to contact any god. My mind then swirled back to a particular set of obsidian eyes...
"The boy!" I exclaimed which fueled my burst of energy.
Surly he'd know more. So I quickly jumped out of bed and got changed. I then grabbed my worn backback - putting both the journal and the Greek god book into the back pack which still held all my college books.
I hastily swung my dorm door open and came face to face with a wall of a chest. I looked up the tall frame and saw a similar complexion to the boy from yesterday - however this wasn't the boy - he was taller and he had this aura about him which held royalty and the way he dressed also gave that away.
I stood there staring at the mysterious man before he gave me a creepy grin.
"Hello little one." he gave out in a creepy tone which made my skin crawl.
I was scared and before I could do anything - he had grabbed my upper arm and suddenly a door appeared behind him.
What the hell?!
He then opened the door and dragged me through the mysterious door and on the other side layed a dark atmosphere with flames on the horizon. I looked around the place in fear and watched as the man dragged me to a blood red mansion which stood tall and grand amoungst the burning surroundings.
The double doors to the mansion swung open as the man dragged me through the doors and through the mansion before going down stairs. I was petrified and I couldn't say anything as I was paralyzed with the fear.
He dragged me down to what looked like a dungeon and swung me into a concrete room with metal bars connecting to the corridor that we just came through. He then locked the metal door and looked at my laying form through the metal bars.
The same creepy grin appeared on his face as he stared at my small form - which became smaller as I instinctively formed into a small ball on the concrete floor. It's weird how his stare makes me want to run into the darkest corners and become so impossibly small.
"You stupid child. You became too curious for your own good." he looked me up and down which made me cringe, " oh well-" he gave a wicked smile, "i guess we're just gonna have to have some fun!"
I felt tears spill down my cheeks as I crawled towards the back wall. Away from the scary looking man. At this he laughed a malicious cackle and walked away from the cell.
Once I knew he was gone I looked around the cell - concrete walls surrounded my apart from the metal bars which looked in penetrable. I even crawled over to the bars and touched them to get a massive shock which made me yelp. I stood in the cell and looked up to the concrete ceiling and down to the concrete floor - I looked down at my jeans and saw that they had torn - which must had been from the dragging and I looked at my arms and felt a stinging from my hip which I soon realised to be a huge bruise which must have come from the impact my body made with the concrete floor.
I slumped onto the floor and let tears continuously slide from my eyes. Why am I here? What did the man mean by 'have some fun'?!
I looked around the cell and walked over to the metal door. Maybe the man was stupid enough to not lock the metal door?
But my attempts to open the metal door didn't make it budge. He must have locked the door then. I sighed sadly as I held my postition facing the metal door.
Suddenly, I felt a gust of wind which made me whirl around and look around. Wind would mean that there's an opening somewhere - maybe to the outside of the world?
I looked around the cell and saw that on the far wall was a miniscule little window - near the ceiling of the cell.
I tried to jump up to the the window but I couldn't see anything. I looked around the cell - then it hit me.
I looked at my worn backpack which was laying on the concert floor in the corner of the room and quickly went up to it. I unzipped the bag and emptied the contents out onto the floor. I then made a stand out of all my college books - but that still wasn't tall enough - so I placed the Greek god book down and my journal on top of the pile to get to the small window. And that was just enough for me to peer out of the small window - which was unfortunately also barred with the metal bars. I didn't want to touch them - I wanted to look outside. And sure enough - this cell was connected to the outside of the mansion.
I looked through the window and saw the flames on the horizon and the red sky. The whole atmosphere reminded me of something like a world that vampires would live in or something like that. I then heard a set of screams which made me look through the window in fear.
I looked around for the person who screamed and sure enough saw a dreadful sight. There was a scary, faceless dark figure leading what looked like normal people - however they looked deathly pale and were all chained together with what looked like heavy metal chains.
"They are souls." a voice said from behind me.
I quickly turned around and saw the same boy from the library behind the metal bars. I instantly felt anger towards the boy.
I jumped off the stack of books and ran towards the boy- shooting daggers in his direction.
"Where the hell am I?!" I seethed.
The boy gave a small chuckle, "i think you answered your own question, love"
I growled at the boy and went to go for him but was stopped but the electrical current that pulsed through the metal bars ; which made me jump and land on the hard concrete floor.
The boy sighed, "im sorry about this but your in hell. I didn't know what my father would do. I didn't think he'd do that. I thought he was just trying to help a lost child for once."
I stood up from the ground and pointed at the boy accusingly, "THIS IS ALL YOUR FAULT?! IF YOU HAD NEVER TALKED TO ME YOUR FATHER WOULDN'T DO ANYTHING TO ME?!"
I folded my arms as the boy looked at me confused.
"That doesn't make any sense-" he then sighed, "I'm Xavier - the son of Hades"
I laughed sarcastically at the boy, " and I'm the daughter or Medusa "
The boy gave a tilt of his head, "but I thought Medusa only had a son?"
