"I failed that test," Hana sighed as she and Thal made their way to a bench to have some lunch. It was pretty cold out but they were bundled up warm - Hana in an calf length black puffy jacket this time that made her look like a burned marshmallow.
"The tarot said I would,"
"Tarot, huh?" Thal sighed, "That's what you're into at the moment?"
Hana had been through a lot of phases thanks to her mother. Thal's favourite was when Hana was into mixing herbs in a bowl and throwing it onto a flame to tell the future. They weren't illegal at all, but they always made her giggle.
Maybe it was just the ridiculous chanting her friend did, and not the herbs.
"My mum got me set," Hana said, flicking a mushroom off her salad, "I don't know if we have a connection but it did tell me I would fail,"
"Maybe if you studied you wouldn't have failed,"
Hana smiled, "I guess. Oh hey, I did a reading about you as well,"
"Uh huh," Thal grunted non-committedly, "What did it say?"
"Well," Hana forked some lettuce into her mouth, "The first card that came up was death,"
Thal rolled her eyes and took a bite out of her sandwich. Her mother was a strict vegetarian - no meat or fish under any circumstances. That was fine with Thal, as the idea of eating any kind of meat repulsed her, "Great. I hope I die before the results come back,"
"Haha," Hana said, "No, that card doesn't mean you're going to die. It signifies a huge change in your life, like, moving onto the next chapter. Big changes,"
"Okay... What else?"
Hana shrugged, "I didn't understand the next card, it was weird. I'm going to ask my mum about it,"
"What was it?"
"Poseidon, God of the Seas," Hana replied, "It usually means that nothing is what it seems, but it didn't fit in with the rest of the cards. It gave me a bad feeling, to be honest,"

Larissa jumped to attention when the front door to her little store was thrown open. Her welcome died in her throat as a tall, muscular Siren walked in, anger clear on his beautiful features.
"Well?" He growled, stalking towards her, "Where is she?"
"Your highness," Larissa bent at the waist, keeping the distaste from her voice, "Always a pleasure to see you,"
"Cut the shit Larissa," His arm shot out, grabbing her by the front of her shirt and half dragging her over the counter, "Taehyung has been gone a day already and we know he located her. Where is she?"
"Prince Yoongi," Larissa pried his hands from her, "Let me remind you that we are in the humans world. If one sees you behaving like this towards a female then they will call police,"
"Where is she? Where is the bitch hiding her?" The Prince ignored Larissa.
"Taehyung is going to bring her to you, don't worry. He's also going to use her to bring the Queen-"
Larissa jumped as Yoongi turned, gripping the nearest rail of clothes and throwing it across the room into the window.
He stepped back towards the red head and leaned in close, "If that poor excuse for a Siren does not bring her back within the next two weeks, I will have his fins and arms removed and then leave him to rot at the bottom of the ocean trench," His voice was low but Larissa heard every word.
"I'll pass on the message,"
Yoongi stepped back, "You do that, Sea Snake,"
Larissa held her tongue as the Prince left her shop. As soon as he was clear she went to pick up thr mess he had made, "Fucking psycho," She muttered, "No wonder the Queen took the Princess and ran,"

quick note - I made up the poseidon card. The death card though, does carry that meaning in tarot cards.
