Taehyung could feel hostile eyes on him. From the opposite site of the room, Thal's friend and ex-lover was glaring at him instead of enjoying himself.

The feast had long-finished and the party in both memoriam and celebration was well underway, but he had yet to have time alone with Thal and was getting fed up of the glares.

After putting up with it for a while, Taehyung decided to end it.

Moving across the hall, he came to a stop in front of Jungkook while Thal was talking to Hana.

"What do you want from me, human?" His voice was low but commanding.

Jungkook narrowed his eyes, "I want to take Thal and go home,"

"You can't take her anywhere," Taehyung said, "She is the Princess, she goes where she wants,"

"She might be your princess, you goddamn freak, but she's not mine. She-"

Taehyung's eyes widened as a figure appeared behind Thal's friend and a hand landed heavily on his shoulder.

He bowed immediately to the new Poseidon, but Jimin didn't pay him any attention.

"Rule one in a relationship," Jimin said in Jungkook's ear, his voice low, "You always treat your female like the queen she is, whether she works with her hands, with her mind, or not at all,"

Jungkook winced as Jimin's hand squeezed him hard.

"And an important rule in my Kingdom; you treat the house you are visiting and the sirens within with respect. You are a guest here, human. If you disrespect my Queen, my daughter, my other guests or my guards, by our law I can have you executed,"

Jungkook's face immediately paled and Jimin lifted his hand.

"Relax, human," He laughed, "I'm not going to execute you, but I can have you escorted back to the surface of you even think of taking Thalassa against her will,"

"Why are you three males all discussing me and where I will go without me?"

The three males in question all turned to Thal as she put her hands angrily on her hips, "I'm not property,"

Jimin held his own hands up innocently as Taehyung spoke, "Tell that to your human male here. He seems to think he can take you where he wants,"

"I think I'll leave you to discuss this," Jimin wisely slipped away back to his mates side and Thal narrowed her eyes.

"I just want to know when we are going home, Thal," Jungkook sighed, "We don't belong here,"

It was Thal's turn to sigh, "Kook, this is who I am now. I might not be used to being here but saying I don't belong is wrong. I'm not human,"

"Well neither am I right now, and I fucking hate it!" Jungkook cried, "This place is wrong for us! It's full of backwards freak monsters that are stuck in the past!"

Taehyung opened his mouth angrily but stopped as Thal recoiled. 

"You think I'm a freak monster, Jungkook?"

The hurt in her eyes made Jungkook's eyes widen, "No, Thal, that's not-"

"Because I'm not the same as you I'm a freak?! Well guess what! I don't fit in here either! I didn't even know what I was a few days ago - I know nothing about this world because I was raised human! But now one of the few people I cared about thinks I'm a monster,"

Jungkook reached out, "Thal-"

Taehyung grabbed his wrist, "Don't touch her!"

As the two began to face each other, Thal turned and swam quickly from the hall. She hadn't meant to let out her feelings in one go like that, but hearing Jungkook call her a fream monster had caught her off guard.

She really was in over her head down here.

"Will you two meatheads stop?" Hana pushed her way in between Jungkook and Taehyung, "What is even going on?"

"He needs to watch himself," Taehyung almost growled.

"Was that a threat?!"

"Enough!" Hana shoved them both, "Look at me and calm down. I don't care what happened anymore, you both need to stop, you're embarrassing yourselves. Where's Thal?"

Taehyung moved back and looked around, "She was just here,"

"Seriously?" Hana muttered, "You both upset her and now don't know where she is? You'd better find her. Mum, Jungkook and I have to leave soon,"

Taehyung nodded, "I'll find her," He promised, "You look in here, I'll ask the guards if they saw her,"

Jungkook opened his mouth to argue but instead nodded when Hana shot him a look.

"Fine,"
