Bee suddenly felt her muscles tense. She knew she should give her daughter the talk, especially because she was asking and incredibly unknowledgeable about her own siren body, but she had never received the talk from her mother.

In fact, her first lesson had been with her forced other-half of her pair. Although, Hoseok was actually very kind to her during that time, so it wasn't physically traumatic, luckily. It just scarred her mentally.

Thal, sensing her mother's discomfort, patted her on the arm.

"You know what? It's okay. It's a subject that makes you uncomfortable. Can I ask Larissa, instead?"

Bee released a breath she wasn't aware she was holding.

"I'm sorry, Thal," She said, "I just... I-"

Thal hugged her Mother, "Don't apologise for anything. You're the victim of terrible abuse," She sighed, "I know you feel guilty over Yoongi and I know you're confused over which was the real him. He said he wanted to change things but when he was younger he manipulated and threatened you,"

The Queen nodded, "But he was still my son and I left him,"

"To save us both," Thal said, "But nothing matters anymore. The past has happened and you shouldn't apologise for any of it. None of it was your fault,"

Bee smiled, "When did you get so smart?"

Thal posed, "When I was born. I've always had 9000 IQ," She laughed, "I'm going to find Larissa. Maybe I could send Jimin here?"

The blonde smiled at her daughter, "Thank you, Thalassa,"

Thal's expression turned serious, "No, Mum. Thank you for everything,"

Taehyung waited nervously at the door to the room that the future Poseidon was waiting.

Namjoon had taken him there and had left him outside with barely a smile on his serious face.

He wasn't sure why Jimin wanted to see him, but he was nervous anyway. Was it about his previous job? Thal? Was he against him courting Thalassa??

Taehyung had never felt so nervous in his life.

A few agonising moments of waiting later, Jimin called out from inside the room.

"Are you going to come in or just float out there all night?"

He immediately went into the room, gently closing the door behind him.

"Your Majesty, how can I-"

"Stop with the bullshit," Jimin was staring straight at him, one deep brown eye and one milky white with dark brows down low. Taehyung swallowed nervously.

"You don't call me those kind of names," Jimin growled, pushing himself upright and moving to where Taehyung was waiting, "Ever,"

Speechless, Taehyung couldn't respond. Before he could get his brain to muster a reply, he jerked in surprise as Jimin wrapped his arms around him in a tight hug.

"You brought her back to me," His voice came out choked, "I was searching for years and you did what I couldn't. You brought both of them back home to me,"

Shocked, Taehyung patted the would-be King awkwardly, "I was only following orders," He said softly, "The Pos-.... The last Poseidon was the one who found her because Thal touched the water,"

Jimin pulled back and shook his head, "It doesn't matter how it came to be. What matters is what you have done for me. I will always be in your debt. Whatever you want from me, you can have it,"

"Then," Taehyung blurted, "Please give me permission to properly court Princess Thalassa. I know she is supposed to pair with a prince of another tribe, but she is my true mate. Please, let me court her!"

Jimin blinked a few times before smiling, "It isn't up to me to give permission," He said, "She grew up as human and rightly believes that it is her choice on who she pairs with," He laughed a little sheepishly, "Besides, you've known her longer than I have so what I say doesn't really matter anyway,"

Taehyung smiled, "I still wanted to ask as per our traditions... She is a Princess after all and I'm nothing but a palace guard,"

Jimin clapped him on the shoulder, "You're much more than that. I have no right to give you permission, but I can give you my blessing and support, if that makes you feel better?"

Taehyung's smile was bright enough to light up the room, "Thank you, Poseidon,"

"I'm not the Poseidon yet,"

"Not officially, but to everyone in the Palace, we already see you as the King of all Oceans," Taehyung said, moving back and bowing formally, "And you have my lifelong pledge of allegiance,"

Jimin took a deep breath, "And you have my lifelong pledge of support," He bowed back, "Anything you need, you will have. You returned my life to me, so I will support you through the rest of yours, so long as I may live,"

Both males straightened and after a moment, they both reached out and clapped their hands around the others wrist, squeezing a little to confirm their new tie.

"You can go and find my daughter now, if you want," Jimin said with a smile, "And if you so happen to see out Queen, could you tell her that I will be waiting here for her to come back,"
