Despite looking like she was going to cry, Thal's mother cleared her throat and continued to talk.

"I... I was unfaithful to the Poseidon a few years after that," She said, "Yoongi had gotten worse - he enjoyed taunting and threatening the servants and he injured a lot more siren,"

Thal wanted to tell her that she wasn't unfaithful to Hoseok. She hadn't wanted to be with him in the first place. But, she didn't interrupt.

Bee sighed, "It was here," She said softly, "I came to this clearing to get away and Jimin... Jimin was here, waiting for me. I didn't know how he got into the grounds but I was so happy to see him," She let out a small laugh, "We'd never been intimate before. Barely pecked each other on the cheek,"

When Thal raised her eyebrows in surprise, Bee waved her hand, "It's different for us," She explained, "Humans aren't as... patient,"

Thal snorted, her thoughts shifting to Jungkook, "I know that first hand," She said. Bee smiled and gently pat her hand.

"You are strong," She said, "I'm so proud of you. Anyway, Jimin and I... well you were conceived-"

Thal grimaced a little.

"-And I told him I didn't want to see him again. I was so afraid of the Poseidon finding out," Bee took a deep breath, "Well, he did find out. He knew that the young I was carrying was female because of the soothsayer and declared that you were to pair and mate with Yoongi. Then he-"

Bee cut herself off abruptly.

There was a long stretch of silence before Thal spoke.

"Mum?"

Bee cleared her throat, "Sorry. Hoseok went to find Jimin. He came back covered in blood and... Threw his head on the table," She choked out the last part as Thal gasped, her eyes widening, "I knew I had to escape and a guard that was friends with Jimin... Seokjin... He helped me leave. I then came to land and lived as a human,"

"But he isn't dead?"

"Hoseok killed Jimin's older brother," Bee said sadly, "And they looked alike so when I saw his face, covered in blood I went into shock,"

Once again, it was silent between the pair as Bee tried to unstick herself from her memories and Thal tried to process everything.

"So... Why didn't you tell me what I am?" She asked finally.

"If you had put even one foot in the water, the Poseidon would have known," Bee said, "Because he was the King of all the oceans,"

"I could have just stayed away from the ocean,"

Bee shook her head, "No. If I allowed you to transform even once, it would be the end. When a Siren is away from the water, they get horrible withdrawal symptoms that can't be ignored. The longer you are away from water, the worse it gets. I couldn't risk it,"

Thal hummed, "Okay, I understand, but you didn't even tell me,"

Bee smiled at her, "You really think that if I told you that you had a tail when in salt water, you wouldn't have jumped in the ocean to test it out?"

After a moment, Thal laughed, "You're right. You did the right thing, I guess,"

With a sigh, Bee pulled her daughter close, "I don't know about that, but I did my best to keep us hidden. Maybe if I had of told you, things would be different. Things just got away from me. I didn't really know how to fit in and I had nothing... knew nothing,"

"You did what you had to," Thal said.

They sat quietly for a while until Thal's thoughts flashed to Taehyung.

She flushed bright red, "Um, mum," She cleared her throat, "I know this is weird to ask but.. um.. how do Sirens... you know..." She went even more red, "Mate,"

Her mother gave her a knowing look, "Taehyung hasn't courted you properly yet," She smiled, "But I can give you the talk if you want,"

Both Daisy and Hana stood up and rushed to the edge of the water. It was dark out but the head peaking out was just as clear as it would have been in the day.

Handsome, with thick brown hair and kind eyes, Hana couldn't help but stare, even when Jungkook nudged her and nodded to her coffee, that she was about to spill.

"You must be the witch, Daisy," The Siren's voice was smooth, "I come with news from her majesty Queen Vasilissa and the future Poseidon, Jimin,"

Daisy smiled, "I am she. This is my daughter, Hana and her friend Jungkook,"

The Siren nodded politely at Jungkook but froze when he looked Hana in the face. His eyes widened but he quickly went back to professional.

"I am Seokjin, guard to the Poseidon and his Queen. The Queen wishes to inform you that both she and Princess Thalassa are safe. She would also like to formally invite you to the coronation tomorrow and the Pairing ceremony the day after,"

Daisy smiled, "We would love to attend. The potion takes at least thirty hours to prepare, though, so I'm not sure-"

Seokjin interrupted her, "I will inform them of this," He said, "Jimin advised that they would hold the ceremony until you are there. I will come back in thirty hours to escort you to the palace?"

"Yes!" Hana cried, "Yes, please, we will be there!"

Seokjin smiled warmly at her, his cheeks flushing, "Very well my lady Daisy, Lady Hana and Sir Jungkook. I will see you soon,"

He vanished into the dark water and Daisy clapped her hands, "Quick, I'll need both your help with this. Let's get hime quickly,"
