The silence in the room was uncomfortable.
Yoongi had set out a line of scary looking blades on a long table and was carefully polishing them.
Thal stayed as far away from him as she could, huddled in the far end of the room.
After a moment, she couldn't take she roaring silence in her ears.
"Why me?" She asked quietly, "I'm your sister and you don't even know me,"
Yoongi didn't even pause, "Because you are of royal blood,"
"There are no others?" Thal asked, "We are related and I don't want this,"
"Your Mother was the last female of royal blood in all of the oceans," Yoongi lifted a knife and inspected it, "You were born for me, as decreed by my Father,"
"What part of we are related don't you get?!" She yelled, moving so she was upright but still far from him.
His cold eyes finally turned to her, "You are ignorant," He growled, "Human's cannot mate relatives due to health issues of the offspring. Sirens do not have that problem. Besides, only royals are allowed to pair with those of the same blood,"
He paused for a moment, putting the knife down and selecting the next, "Its is why we are dying out as a species,"
"That's no reason to force me into something I don't want!" Thal cried, "I-"
"Shut up already," Yoongi looked over at her, anger on his face, "If you make me silence you, you won't ever speak again,"

Bee took her time heading to the throne room. Despite how desperately she wanted to race forward and grab Thal, she knew she had to be tactful. Hoseok had always hated being made to wait, and since she had run away, her taking her time now would be adding insult to injury.
Taehyung stayed close to her tail and even though Bee didn't know him, it was obvious that he was agitated by how tense his muscles were and how narrow his eyes were.
She wanted to reach out and touch his arm - tell him to relax and that things were going to be okay, but she didn't want to lie. She had no idea how things were going to turn out.

Thal was nervous and irritated. Yoongi had a death grip on her waist and she couldn't struggle; the Poseidon had found it 'annoying' and told her if she didn't behave he would be the one to kill her.
She wasn't sure why she was next to the throne with Yoongi, who was extremely tense, all she knew was that they had been summoned and were to stay quiet.
After a few minutes of waiting, the doors to the throne room slowly swung open and Thal gasped at what she saw.
Her mother was absolutely beautiful. She had always thought that of her, but now it was different.
It wasn't the iridescence of her powerful pearl tail, or the fact that her blonde hair was loose and flowing around her. It wasn't the silver of her eyes or her plump lips, although all those helped.
No, it was the determination and fury on her face that made her beautiful to Thal. She had never seen her mother so strong and powerful and in that moment, she wanted to cry and go to her for comfort - not just because she was her mother, but because she was everything Thal had ever wanted to be.
A strong, powerful woman.
Her eyes shifted and she could see Taehyung behind her, his black tail longer and more powerful than her Mother's. His face was blank but his muscles were tense and he had some sort of weapon strapped to his waist. His eyes met hers and the blank look fell away for a moment, revealing fear and anger, but he was quick to put his mask back on.
"My beautiful Queen," The Poseidon spoke and even from a distance, Thal could see Bee's jaw clench, "Well done for bringing her to me, my loyal soldier. We will discuss your reward at a later time. My beloved, come to me,"
Thal would have been angry if she didn't already know that Taehyung was working for the Poseidon to bring her home. As it were, she trusted him. He had tried to hide her from the Prince and had treated her too well for her not to trust in him.
Bee looked at Yoongi and Thal and Yoongi tightened his grip painfully tight.
"Let my daughter go, Hoseok," She said, her voice clear.
The Poseidon finally raised from his throne, "You are in no position to make demands of me, my Queen," He said, his voice as smooth as silk, "Come to me before I get angry and I shall forgive you for your betrayal. I understand that you left because you felt ruined by that male, but it was not your fault. You were his victim,"
Bee's eyes seemed to almost glow in the dim light of the throne room.
"I was not Jimin's victim," She said loudly and clearly, "I was yours,"
