Chapter 14- Oh Deer...
I awkwardly stood there, all eyes on me. Aiden's parents seemed slightly confused, Bella had a smirk on her face, and the girl sat there looking unimpressed.
Aiden quickly turned to look at me and then at his parents.
"Uh, hey everyone. This is June." He introduced me, his hand slightly lifting up and moving slowly as if he were a worker at a store showing off their newest product.
"Hello. It's nice to meet you." I said, smiling politely.
Both parents stood up and made their way over to us. I got a hug from both of them whereas Aiden got a kiss on the cheek from his mother and a manlier hug than the one I had gotten from his dad.
"Welcome, June. It's a pleasure to have you." Mr. Blackwood said, flashing me a smile, and I smiled back at him.
Bella walked up to me as well and hugged me.
"Hey! I didn't expect to see you here!" She said, smiling widely at me.
"It's kind of a long story." I replied, letting out a chuckle and she just laughed.
"Well then you'll have to tell me all about it later. Oh and by the way, you look great!" She winked and I just laughed, shaking my head.
We all walked back to the table and when we all took a seat, Mrs. Blackwood spoke.
"It's been quite a while since you brought a girl home." She said, looking at Aiden curiously and a very subtle smirk playing on her bright red lips.
Smirks must run in the family.
Aiden rolled his eyes and gave me an apologetic look before turning back to answer his mother's remark.
"She's my art course partner. We were working on something when I remembered I had to come here. I decided to bring her along since I was already running late." He explained clearly. "I hope you don't mind." He added, narrowing his eyes at his mother for about half a second and then his face returning to a nonchalant expression.
I wasn't sure what to do in a moment like that so I just awkwardly stares at the white and gold empty plate placed front of me.
He could've at least said we were friends. He literally just made me sound like a nobody.
Thanks a lot.
Mrs. Blackwood nodded in understanding—yet, it seemed like she wasn't really satisfied with his explanation. Her left eyebrow was raised and she just continued to stare at her son expectantly. Aiden seemed to notice this too and simply sighed in defeat.
"Well, while we wait for the food, how about we discuss the project? After all, that is why we're all reunited here tonight." Mr. Blackwood said, and I looked at Aiden with a confused look. He just looked away, his gaze obviously not wanting to meet mine.
Alright.
"So, the next step is for the water representation. Alicia here, she will be the one to take that role. We think she's just right for it. Do you agree?" He said, looking at Aiden for approval.
Aiden turned to look at Alicia, obviously analyzing her—not that he hadn't already— and smiled at her. As expected, she returned the flirty smile.
"Yeah, I think she's perfect." He said, a lazy grin on his face, and Mrs. Blackwood smiled.
"Great! This will be amazing. Alicia and Aiden will definitely blow them away. I'm so happy to hear you agree with it for once." She said, sounding relieved as she spoke her last phrase, and Aiden just nodded.
I gave Bella a what are we talking about' look but she also just looked away.
The Blackwoods are so shady.
"Yeah, I love being with Aiden. It's always great when we're together!" Alicia said, her voice, unsurprisingly, a little higher than my ears would enjoy, and I couldn't help but feel annoyed.
It bothered me that she was practically flirting with Aiden in front of everyone, looked at me like I was some kind of ragged raccoon, yet everyone in here seemed to adore her.
"So what is this whole project about?" I asked curiously, trying to join in the conversation.
"Well, Aiden over here is-"
"Oh look! Food's here!" Aiden quickly interrupted as our food was brought into the room. I shot him a look and he just smirked before looking away again.
Okay, why doesn't anyone want me to know what this is all about?
The food was placed on the table and dang, did that food smell good.
Placed in front of us was a huge tray of cheese and chicken rollantinis. Also, there were two huge baskets of bread. Some with garlic spread, some plain, others with melted cheese on top. There was also, of course, a big fancy looking bowl of caesar salad. I was surprised they didn't serve the salad first and then the food. Maybe the eat it all together.
Chill rich people, perhaps?
Just as that thought crossed my mind, two bottles of wine were also placed on the table and I suddenly felt nervous.
I can't drink wine...
I'm not 21 yet. Do they want me to break the law?
"Alright, let's eat. But first, Aiden, can you lead us prayer?" Mr. Blackwood said and I raised an eyebrow.
Prayer? I never pictured Aiden as that kind of person. Although...as I thought about it, I realized I'd never heard the dude say one curse word. I mean, Aiden teased and played around a lot, but he wasn't really an actual bad boy.
Okay, now I'm starting to realize there's a lot about Aiden I don't know.
Aiden looked at me for a brief second, looking slightly awkward because of the position he was in, and then held my hand.
They all closed their eyes and I decided the right thing to do would be to do the same. Apart from the fact it would've been awkward if I kept my eyes open and just stared at everyone while their eyes were closed.
"Lord, we thank You for letting us all be reunited to discuss this great project coming up. We ask that You guide us through it and help us to make it great. Also, we thank You for letting us have the honor of having Alicia and June join us tonight. Thank You for always providing with food and we are grateful for this delicious meal my mom has taken the time in cooking for us. In Your name we pray, amen." He said and I was honestly impressed.
Seeing Aiden like that was definitely weirdly unexpected. Not bad, just surprising, I guess.
After that, they served the food and we began to eat.
"So, June, have you always been interested in art?" Aiden's mom asked, putting a forkful of salad in her mouth shortly after.
"Oh yes. All my life, I've loved it. I found the art course ad on a flyer I saw at the subway station. My parents couldn't really afford it so I applied for the scholarship and thankfully I got in. It's definitely a great experience." I said smiling and they both nodded their heads, smiling back at me.
"Well you must be very good then! Getting that scholarship is very hard. Aiden tried getting it last year and unfortunately he didn't get it." Mr. Blackwood said and I turned to look at Aiden.
I frowned in confusion. Why would Aiden apply for the scholarship? He can obviously pay for it.
"Oh really? That's surprising. I've seen his work and well, it's amazing." I said and Aiden looked extremely uncomfortable at that point.
"Yes, we're very proud of him. I think this year, with the project going on and the art course, he could really get somewhere. You should also come by my office one day and show me some of your stuff. Maybe we could put it up on the gallery." He offered and I smiled.
I had no idea what gallery it was but I was sure it was a big deal. That would be amazing. I really didn't see why Aiden was in the course if he already had a great opportunity with his parents' gallery. It seemed so...pointless.
"I would love to!" I said, my expression lighting up.
The rest of the dinner consisted of Aiden avoiding eye contact with me, flirty looks being exchanged between him and Alicia, and Aiden's parents talking about buisness and whatnot. Bella seemed to be an outsider in this subject and I wondered what it was she liked to do. After all, I could guess she wasn't exactly into art considering she hadn't been mentioned in any art related conversation so far.
"So, what about you Bella? What have you been up to?" I asked, trying to include her in the conversation.
She was playing with her food the whole time and looked surprised when someone finally spoke to her.
"Oh, well I've been working a lot with my modeling agency. I just got offered a spot with the Brandy Melville models so I'm super excited." She told me excitedly and I wasn't surprised she was a model. She definitely looked like one. In fact, the whole family seemed to be blessed with model material genes.
"Bella! Why didn't you tell us?! That's great sweetie!" Mrs. Blackwood said and Bella just smiled, but it didn't quite reach her eyes. I could tell her parents were completely oblivious to the fact she felt left out.
"Maybe because you didn't ask." She mumbled, but they didn't seem to hear her. After her making her snarky comment, she actually replied out loud.
"I guess the moment just never came up." She laughed sweetly. "But now you know! I'm moving to L.A. next week." She added and Aiden frowned.
"Wait, you are?" He asked, clearly not aware of the situation either, and she nodded.
"Wow. Good luck sis." He replied, a small smile on his face, and she smiled too—this time, a genuine smile.
"Thanks, lil bro."
I quickly looked at my phone and noticed it was 10pm already. Aiden took notice of this as well and thankfully, spoke before I had to.
"Well, thanks for the dinner mom. June and I have to get going." He said, standing up, and everyone else stood up as well.
We all walked to the door and said our goodbyes.
As I was saying goodbye to Aiden's parents and Bella, I noticed him and Alicia talking. I knew it was extremely nosey of me to do so but I couldn't help listening to what they were saying.
"Yeah, this is my number." He said and began to type it into her phone. "Well yeah, I'll text you the address. It's easy to spot it though. It's a cute little coffee shop."
Coffee shop? Wait, what?
"Alright, great! It'll be better to discuss all the details there." She said, and at this point, I started to think maybe Aiden wasn't exactly a player.
Suddenly, I had to stop listening because Bella was calling my name.
"You done?" Bella asked and I laughed.
"Sorry. Zoned out. But hey, congrats on the job!" I said, avoiding the whole 'me trying to listen to Aiden and Alicia's conversation' subject.
"Thanks! We really need to hang out before I leave." She suggested and I smiled. That would actually be pretty cool. Especially because last time we hung out things didn't exactly go as planned.
"Yeah!" I agreed and then Aiden made his way over to us.
"Okay June, we really gotta get going. Goodnight everyone." He said and we walked out.
We got inside the car and were silent for a long moment. It almost seemed as if we were recovering from a scary moment or were trying to catch our breaths. Maybe both. But as we sat there in silence, a million questions ran through my mind. Why did he enter the art course? What was the project about? Why did he apply for the scholarship last year? Who were the girls? None of it made sense. I didn't understand.
The only thing that was starting to seem true was that Aiden didn't take girls on a date to the coffee shop. Something deep inside me had the feeling he wasn't a player or even the person I thought he was at all. It seems Aiden Blackwood is a lot more mysterious than I thought—a closed book without even a summary on the back. And as crazy as it may have seemed, part of me was determined to find out. I couldn't keep on looking like an idiot and accusing him of being someone he's not. Not only because I felt bad, but because now I was slightly curious to finding out the answers to all these questions I couldn't seem to figure out.
"Aiden..." I whispered, but didn't turn to look at him.
"Yes?" He said, but he didn't look at me either.
It almost seemed like we were both in a trance, stuck between reality and the waves of our own thoughts.
For some reason, my brain couldn't really figure out what to say. I had so many things to ask and yet, I wasn't sure how to ask them, or if it was even the right time to do so. Part of me wondered if it would ever even be the right time to ask. I was afraid if I didn't ask now I would never find out. But even with all these thoughts running through my mind, I still wasn't able to speak my thoughts out loud.
"Thanks for today." Was all I managed to say.
Finally, he turned to look at me. For a few seconds, he just stared at me. His eyes seemed troubled, like if he, too, wanted to say things to me but wasn't sure whether to say them or not.
This tension—this atmosphere, it was really driving me insane. It was too quiet and calm right now and it was odd. Odd because it was so rare—maybe even impossible—to see hot and cold air together and not see a hurricane form. Or maybe our minds were the beautiful disaster taking place right now and our silence was the eye of the hurricane. Either way, I couldn't stand it anymore.
I gave him an expectant look and that was when he finally spoke.
"No problem." He said, and I let out a forced laugh. He frowned, clearly confused as to why I laughed out of nowhere.
"You know, it's funny how half the time I had no idea what everyone was talking about." I said bluntly, my tone coming out a little more bitter than I meant to, and immediately regretted it.
I shouldn't have said that. I practically just made a snowball and threw it down the hill. Big mistake.
His expression suddenly changed and he quickly looked away. He turned on the car and began to drive, making me frown. About five minutes passed and he still just continued to drive.
I remained silent during this whole time, and after what seemed like eternity, he finally opened his mouth to speak.
"I'm sorry. I didn't mean to make you feel like an outsider. It's just my parents—they get carried away with the art stuff and they're really into this project and-"
"What project? Everytime I tried to ask, you just avoided it." I cut him off, finally saying what I felt.
He sighed in defeat and then turned to look at me.
"My parents are the owners of an art gallery. They're working on this Earth Art thing and they want me to be part of it since I'm also into art and stuff. Anyway, they-"
As he spoke, I noticed he wasn't really looking at the road and, naturally, I looked ahead to make sure we weren't going to crash and die. Suddenly, something jumped in front of the car and I screamed.
"Aiden! DEER!" I yelled in panic, and he immediately put his foot on the break and looked out, his eyes wide.
We both sat there in shock when we noticed the deer just sprawled across the road, unsure of whether life was still in it or not.
"Oh no. Crap." He mumbled, quickly unbuckling his seatbelt and running out to see if the deer was okay—Or alive.
I followed after him and we both looked around to see if anyone else was in sight.
"Thank goodness no one's here." He said and I frowned.
"What? How is that a good thing?" I asked, not understanding why not having help would be convenient at all.
"Because running over a deer is something that can go on our record. And we get fined for it. I don't think you want another thing added to your criminal record do you, cupcake?" He reasoned, and I laughed.
"First of all, you ran over the deer. Secondly, you're rich. Why would paying a fine even matter?" I pointed out and he rolled his eyes.
"Okay true. But it will still go on my record and I can't really afford that. No pun intended. So now, help me figure out what to do with the animal."
Okay, he has a point.
We walked closer to the deer and tried to find out if we could feel a pulse. As expected, we failed to know where the deer's pulse or heart was even located. I know, what a brainy duo we are.
"Google it. Google knows everything." I told him, and he chuckled but didn't hesitate to pull out his phone and type in 'where is a deer's pulse located?'.
We tried again but still couldn't really feel anything.
"Aiden...I think you killed it." I whispered as he stood there just staring at the deer in silence.
"No. I watched a documentary once that said a human's brain activity is still working eight minutes after someone's death, which means they can still be brought to life if they save you quickly enough!" He explained desperately, and I shook my head, letting out a laugh.
"But this is a deer. Not a human." I reminded him and he rolled his eyes.
"Stop being so pessimistic, June. We have time. Help me." He said and knelt down, putting his hands under the deer's stomach.
"Wait, what are you doing?" I asked, my tone slow and cautious.
"What's it look like I'm doing? I'm trying to carry it. Now come and help me put it in the trunk instead of just standing there. We're wasting time." He said completely seriously.
This dude is crazy. What does he expect us to do with it? It's already dead anyways! There's no way we're making it anywhere near enough to 'save' that deer.
"Heck no. I'm not touching that thing! There's no way we'll make it somewhere fast enough. Every vet is closed already." I stated, and he just rolled his eyes at me again.
I watched him struggle to carry the deer and, after a couple of failed attempts to do so, he finally found the right position in which to carry it. Before I knew it, he had somehow managed to carry a fully grown female deer and dump it in the back trunk.
"Get in the car! We gotta get going!" He said, motioning me to the door.
I was still in shock at what was happening. Aiden had literally just dumped a dead deer in the back. I couldn't believe he was ACTUALLY serious.
What is this boy's problem?
We both ran inside the car, he put in the closest vet address on the GPS, and then he began to drive rather fast—maybe even a little too fast for my liking.
However, I understood it was because we were trying to 'save' a deer. Well, he was. I had given up on it the second we found no heartbeat. I, from the bottom of my heart, truly believed this was hopeless. There was no way this deer would make it— not even to the vet. In fact, do vets even treat deer? I mean, seriously, who the heck owns a pet deer? Especially in New York.
Suddenly, I saw blue lights and heard a very familiar noise. I looked in the rearview mirror and my eyes widened. Oh no. Not this.
"Aiden!"
"What?!"
"THE COPS." I yelled, feeling myself start to panic. My heart started beating fast and I realized the irony in this situation. Trying to save a deer to get out of trouble actually got us in trouble. That's just Aiden and I's luck.
Thanks a lot for pairing me up with this idiot Mr. Falkov. I'm going to end up in jail one of these days, I swear.
Well...end up in it permanently, anyways.
Aiden had to pull over and he turned to look at me before the cops came to talk to us.
"Hey, we always turn out fine. Don't forget that. I'll take all the blame. Stop worrying so much." He started, and looked at me the same way he did the first time we got in trouble with the police. Suddenly, a smug smirk made its way onto his face. "Well, unless you're just worried because you care about me." He winked.
Of course, I rolled my eyes. I do that a lot around Aiden. Who can blame me though? The idiot gives me every reason to do so.
"Sir, are you aware of why I pulled you over?" The cop asked and Aiden awkwardly sat there.
"Uh...I was driving a little too fast?"
"Yes. I am aware the road is pretty cleared out but you should still stay within the speed limit. Also, I noticed something wrong in the back of your car. Could I please see your I.D.?" He said, and I tried to stay calm but I felt all my insides start to panic ten thousand times more than they were before.
He noticed the deer. I'm going to jail. Oh no no no no no. God help me. I've been a good girl. I DON'T WANT TO PEE IN THOSE NASTY PRISON TOILETS. BESIDES, I DON'T MEAN TO SOUND LIKE A DIVA OR ANYTHING BUT I LOOK AWFUL IN ORANGE. I DON'T DESERVE THIS.
"Oh. What would that be?" Aiden asked as he handed his I.D. to the officer and I could tell he was suddenly a lot more tense.
"Your license plate is expired. You need to go fix that as soon as you can." He told Aiden, writing something down on a small piece of paper, and I felt a huge wave of relief wash over me.
Thank the Lord.
"Right. Thank you. I do need to fix that. I'm very sorry. I'll make sure to drive within the speed limit, officer. Is that all?"
Aiden also seemed a lot calmer now but I'm sure his heart was beating just as fast as mine.
"Yes. Have a good night sir." The officer said and gave Aiden a ticket before leaving.
"And you didn't want to pay a fine." I mumbled, a half smirk playing on my lips, and then we both began to laugh.
"June, you better shut it." He spat, but was still smiling and then let out another chuckle. "I thought he had found a deer leg hanging out of the trunk or something." He admitted, letting out an actual laugh this time.
"I just thought you didn't close it right and saw the whole thing just lying there!" I said, and he began to laugh even more.
"Oh gosh. I'm so glad I didn't go to jail." He said, shaking his head, the laughter finally dying down.
I sighed in relief.
"Me too." I replied, a small smile still lingering on my face.
Finally, after about ten minutes of driving, we reached the vet and found a sign on the door that said 'CLOSED'.
"Nooo!" Aiden said and I gave him a skeptical look. Did he actually think it would be open?
"Aiden, let's just give up on this. I'm sure the poor thing is dead by now." I said, putting a hand on his shoulder.
He turned his head to look at my hand, grabbed it, and then dropped it.
"June, don't touch me. I read somewhere girls have the cooties. I don't want to get herpes." He said and I laughed, shaking my head.
He needs to stop watching dumb documentaries and reading nonsense. It's getting us nowhere
"Aiden, that makes no sense at all." I said, amused at his stupid comment.
"I have an idea." He stated, changing the subject and ignoring my previous comment.
"Every time you say you have an idea we end up arrested, or in some kind of trouble." I said, remembering when he had the 'great idea' of painting graffiti at 11pm or that one time he had the idea to start a paint fight and we ended up getting banned. Things never go well when Aiden claims to have 'an idea.'
"No, I'm certain this is a good one. Let's go." He said, and I sighed in defeat. It looks like today, I don't really have a say in anything. I'm done trying to knock some sense into this guy's head.
We went back to the car and began to make our way to a place Aiden wouldn't tell me. Obviously his idea wasn't that great, otherwise he would've probably immediately bragged about how his idea was pure gold. I don't ever know what to expect with him anymore.
After a few minutes, we finally entered the main city and reached what I guessed was our destination: a pharmacy. I seriously hope Aiden doesn't think buying some bandaids is going to magically bring a dead deer back to life.
"What are we doing here?" I asked as he parked near New York Pharmacy on 1st Avenue.
"I'll be right back." Was all he said and ran out to get whatever it was he was getting.
I sat there in silence as I waited for Aiden to come back and decided to get on my phone. I hadn't looked at it in the past four hours which was kind of a record for me. I found my phone had been blown up with several texts from Blue and Blake.
Oh, those two.
[14 messages from Blue]
Hows the date?
You kiss yet?
Where did he take you?!
Is he shirtless? Tell me he's shirtless.
ABS?!?!?! V-LINE???
Omg. Does he have four nipples like harry styles?
Is that why you're not replying??
It's okay. Personality is what counts right?
JUNE
LOVE
ANSWER
IS YOU DEAD?
Thought we were friends!
Fine. Don't tell me you punk.
I began to laugh at all the texts on my screen and rolled my eyes playfully. Blue was one of those people that didn't feel any shame when it came to double texting— or texting you fourteen times in a row.
I decided I'd tell her everything in person and had the audacity to leave her on 'Read'. I clicked on Blake's message thread and saw he had been a little less weird and only sent 3 texts.

Hellooooo
Heard you and Blackwood went on a little date ;)
Tell Aiden to wear a lot more sunblock bc you're FIRE in that black bikini, girl.
I raised an eyebrow and let out a small giggle. Blake sure is good with puns and pick up lines. I started typing because I had no idea how Blake even knew what I was wearing.
To: Blake
How do you know I was wearing that????
A few seconds later, I got a response.
He sent a picture of me wearing the bathing suit at the place we went to. In the picture, you could only see me standing from my side view while my hand was tangled in my hair, obviously indicating I was fixing my hair at the time the picture was taken. The caption read:
Aiden sneaked a few pics of you & had the pleasure in sending me some.
Then, he sent a screenshot of him and Aiden's texts and my eyes widened.
"The cupcake sure knows how to look good when she wants to."
Aiden!
That little punk. How dare he?
To: Blake
That little mutt is going to pay.
Suddenly, Aiden came back and got in the car.
I narrowed my eyes at him but he was completely oblivious to this and grinned proudly as he took out a toy stethoscope.
"You've gotta be kidding me? That was your great idea?" I asked, looking at the lame toy he was holding, with a skeptical look.
He frowned.
"It was the cheapest one! Plus, the lady told me they really do work." He explained childishly, seeming genuinely upset at the fact I had disagreed that this was a good idea.
I just let out a laugh and shook my head. "What are we even going to need it for now? It's dead!" I told him, in awe at his foolishness, and he pouted, his eyebrows scrunching up together.
"We can check out if it's still alive. We can't rely on the pulse. We might be doing it wrong." He said, looking at the toy and then at me.
"You're unbelievable. There's no point in doing this. It's already been over twenty minutes." I said, putting my phone back inside my pocket.
He stared at me blankly for a few seconds, probably realizing I was right, and then stared at the stethoscope in his hand. I raised my eyebrows in amusement and then he simply put the toy around his neck, the way doctors usually do.
"Well, then I might as well pretend to be a doctor for a while. I didn't just spend my money for nothing." He grumbled, and I couldn't help but letting a playful smile onto my face.
"You're such a child." I laughed.
"I'm older than you." He replied and I gave him a look.
"How would you know that?"
"I don't know. I just do." He replied with a light shrug, his tone confident.
"I'm nineteen. My birthday is in June." I told him and he smiled.
"You were named after the month you were born in? Of course." He shook his head lightly, running his fingers between his hair, fixing it up a bit.
"That's besides the point." I scowled. Like if I was able to control my parents' naming decisions... "How old are you?" I asked him.
"Nineteen. My birthday is in April." He smirked and I rolled my eyes.
"Well if you're so mature then start acting like it." I mumbled. "Now, take me back home. I'm tired." I whined, leaning my seat back and trying to make myself comfortable.
"Please would be nice." He told me and I just shot him a death glare, causing him to turn his car on without saying another word.
He began driving once again and I realized he was making his way back to my apartment. What is he thinking?! There is no way I'm taking that dead animal to my home.
"Aiden, why are we going to my apartment? I don't want the deer!" I protested and he laughed.
"There's absolutely no way I can take it to mine." He said and I felt myself start to get heated up.
"I don't care! Throw it away or something!" I said, and at this point, we'd already arrived to my apartment.
I narrowed my eyes at him and clenched my jaw.
"Aiden-"
"Look, this is what we'll do. You keep the deer in your apartment 'till sunrise. I'll come pick you up tomorrow morning and we'll go throw it away in that place where we went to draw graffiti. It's too late and cops are roaming around. They'll catch us if we go throw it away right now." He explained, and I frowned.
"Why can't you just take it to yours?" I asked stubbornly, and he let out a groan.
"Well..." He started, and I raised my eyebrows expectantly.
"Well what?"
"I've got an important guest coming over tomorrow and I can't afford to have my apartment smelling like rotten dead deer. Please, I swear I'll make it up to you." He pleaded and I rolled my eyes but nodded lightly.
"Fine." I said, giving in like the weakling that I am. "But this is the last time I put up with your nonsense. And yes, you owe me big time. Especially because Blue's a vegetarian." I said, and his eyes widened.
"Oh, this is gunna be good." He said, grinning like a child, and my mouth dropped.
"Good? NO. This is awful!" I yelled and he just laughed at me. Jerk.
He got out of the car, grabbed the deer, and we started walking towards my apartment door.
"Okay, I have a plan." He said and I let out a short laugh. Yeah, because his plans—just like his ideas, always work out, right?
"You go in and distract Blue. While you distract her, I'll go in and hide the deer. Now go!" He said, shooing me away, and I quickly walked in.
This better work.
I walked in and saw Blue sitting in her room listening to some music. Just as I saw that, I immediately came up with a plan.
"Hey! I'm back." I said, and she looked up at me.
"YOU! How dare you not answer any of my texts?!" She scolded and I began to laugh.
"My bad. I'll tell you everything but first, you gotta help me with something." I said, and she nodded.
"Alright. What is it?"
I dragged her into my art studio, placed a stool in front of a piece of art she hadn't seen yet, and then made her sit on the stool.
"So, for the art course, we need to see how different music affects the way we feel about a piece of art and how we see it. I need you to tell me your feelings on this piece based on each song you listen to. Now, put both headphones on and stare at the art." I said and wondered how I came up with such a good lie so quickly. The things I do for Aiden and his stupid dead deer...
At least now she was distracted and can't hear a thing.
I, on the other hand, could hear Aiden opening and closing all the cabinets and drawers in the kitchen, and all the doors in my apartment. I heard a bunch of things fall and mentally groaned. He better pick everything up.
Finally, after about ten seconds, I heard complete silence. I guessed he found a place to hide the deer.
A second later later, he walked in the room.
Blue turned around and raised an eyebrow.
"What are you doing here?" She asked, and he smiled cheekily.
"Uh, I forgot to give this back to June. Here you go." He said, handing me the toy stethoscope that had still been hanging around his neck.
Blue let out a laugh and looked slightly confused as to why I owned that thing in the first place.
Aiden seemed to notice this and chuckled.
"It's an inside joke." He clarified, and she nodded.
"Right." She replied slowly, eyeing us suspiciously.
I laughed nervously and gave him a look.
We all stood there in an awkward silence for about five seconds and Aiden didn't really look like he was planning on telling me anything else.
Finally, he spoke.
"Well...good luck buddy!" Was all he said, before literally running out of the apartment without telling me anything else. Really, he didn't say ANYTHING ELSE.
AIDEN BLACKWOOD, YOU STUPID LITTLE PIECE OF ROTTEN PIG TOE.
Where the heck did you hide that stupid deer?!

A/N:
So, sorry I didn't update yesterday but I was at summer camp and I got home late and was pretty beat.
I didn't really have much time this week to edit so forgive me if this chapter is not written too greatly. However, give it up for Aiden and his deer !!! What did you guys think? I'm honestly so done with him lololol.
Well, I hope you liked it! If you did don't forget to please comment & vote!!! (:
