"Guys look what I found today!"

Ahkmenrah rushed into the museum like an exited child, you followed behind snickering at his cute his excitement was.

"What on earth is that my boy?" Teddy replied, Ahk catching his attention.

The pharaoh held up his fossil, showing the former president and those who'd come to look.

"My god! It's massive! Where on earth did you find that?" Teddy asked.

"(Y/n) took me to the beach. I've never seen the ocean before, it was so much fun! I found it diving for shells" Ahk replied.

Teddy took the shark tooth, having a closer look. He was known for his love of nature, preservation of national parks and knowing a lot about wildlife, so he too was curious about the fossil.

"No modern shark has teeth this big, it must be ancient. And the colouration, the worn down tip, the scuffing from being tossed around the sea floor... definitely prehistoric" he said.

"There must be record of shark fossils somewhere in the archive right?" Ahk asked.

"Surely there must be, we have a whole fossil exhibit"

You smiled watching the two discuss the fossil, Ahk seemed to intrigued and happy with his find. He seemed to have found quite the liking for fossils. If you were the art history significant other, he was definitely the archeology significant other. History truly did connect you more ways than one.

"Lawrence! Come take a look at this" Teddy called out, Larry's attention begins grabbed from across the room.

The night guard walked over, quite surprised to see what at first he thought was one of the museums artefacts in Ahk's hands.

"Holy shit, that's one big tooth" he said.

"I found it at the beach, we have shark fossil records in the archives right?" Ahk replied.

"Uhhh... yes. We do, they're with the sea life files. There should be some pictures to compare it too in there as well, looks pretty prehistoric so I'd guess it's probably an extinct species"

Ahk was buzzing with excitement, eager to find out what he'd managed to find laying around in the sea.

"You guys go ahead, I'll catch up. I wanna chat with the minis for a second" you said.

"Ok, we'll be in the archives. Love you!" Ahk replied, placing a kiss on your cheek.

"Love you too"

Allowing the history obsessed boys to head off to the archives, you wanted to see what was going on with the two lovers from different eras. It'd been a while now, surely they'd have sorted their feelings out by now. You found them in the staff room gathering pop sticks, with them a sticky note with plans to make a contraption of some kind on it. They were small after all, they did need some fun little machines to help with things bigger than them.

"It's the trouble makers, what's the plan this time?" You asked.

"Ayyy it's the art nerd! We're making a contraption to type on the keyboard, since we're too light to press the keys down" Jed explained.

You looked at the plans on the sticky note, it was actually a pretty good idea. A platform on wheels that can move over the keyboard, someone would sit at the top and use a popstick to press the keys with. The plans written in Latin, meaning Octavius came up with it. Very smart, then again the Roman's did invent a ton of things still used today, you shouldn't be surprised.

"Not bad, that'll work like a charm" you complimented.

"Where's your 'arm candy' as you say? Usually he follows you like a lost kitten" Octavius asked.

"Ahk? He's with Teddy and Larry, we went to the beach and he found a fossil. They're in the archives trying to identify what it is. Honestly I reckon he's gonna end up an archeologist during the day when he's with me"

"No way, what kinda fossil?" Jed asked.

"This big shark tooth, super old looking"

"A Megoladon?"

You shrugged, you didn't know how to tell shark teeth apart. But with its size it definitely could be something similar to a Meg.

"Megladon?" Octavius asked.

"They're these massive sharks that existed in like... dinosaur times or something. So big they ate whales" Jed explained.

Well... he was half right. They did exist in prehistoric times but not quite the dinosaur ones.

"By Jupiter, those existed? We thought they were just myths!" Octavius said.

"So did everyone until we found fossils" you replied.

You pulled one of the chairs from the table over to the countertop where the two minis stood, sitting down to be more level with their height.

"Now, I'm here for an update. I've talked to both of you on separate occasions about this, so I expect answers" you began.

They gave you a confused look, not sure where you were going with this.

"How's the relationship?" You continued.

Ah, now they understood. They were silent for a moment, looking at each other slightly flustered.

"Well, we talked about it..." Octavius admitted.

"Good, good. Not to be all nosey or anything, I just wanna know if everything worked out" you replied.

"We... definitely talked about it. For a long... long time. Unpacked alotta stuff..." Jedediah continued.

For strong leaders of their times, they really were love sick dummies when they were with each other. You could tell they were still a little shy about admitting they'd been in love for so long. Especially since they were from different time periods with different views on queerness.

"It's just... I dunno what to tell the guys in my diorama. Everyone in the Roman area wouldn't even bat an eye, but..." Jedediah sighed.

"So you two dummies have finally admitted you like each other?" You asked.

"...yes..." they admitted.

You smiled, giggling and clapping. Having a little fan girl movement over the two finally being offical.

"Ah! So cute. Oh my ra, I'm so glad" you said.

"Ra? Ahkmenrahs language is really rubbing off on you huh?" Jed snickered.

You didn't even realise you said ra and not god. Looks like he really is rubbing off on you, suppose being bound by a magic tablet does that to you.

"Look I'm sure everything will be fine, I mean it's the modern day, you guys are museum minis and literally alive by magic. It's a very different time and environment than the Wild West, they'll understand that. And if there's one or two people being asshats then give them to me and I'll trap them in the naughty jar" you assured.

"(Y/n)s right Jed, we're essentially in a whole new world. Living in fear isn't the way to go, working through it and being your most authentic self is. Plus, there is always the naughty jar" Octavius agreed.

Jed was silent again for a moment, thinking it over. He didn't want to have to hide the fact he was so clearly head over heels for the Roman, and the best way to move forward and heal from the ways of the time period was to be open about everything and fight the good fight.

"Yeah, y'all are right... I gotta put my big boy chaps on and take the leap" he admitted.

"It'll all be fine, promise. And oh ra I'm so glad you two are finally being open and honest, it was torture watching you so CLEARLY wanna kiss and keep avoiding it out of fear" you said.

"You said it again, ra" Octavius pointed out.

You didn't even realise, again.

"Goddamn he really is rubbing language off on me..." you muttered.

As if on cue, Ahkmenrah pushed the door open excitedly and rushed up to you with a file and the fossil.

"It's a megoladon! Can you believe it! The biggest known shark in the world!" He announced, showing you the file and the tooth.

Sure enough, the same size, colouration and wear and tear with age.

"Holy shit-" you said.

"I KNEW IT! I KNEW IT WAS OF THEM MEGS!" Jedediah cheered.

Octavius simply looked at the tooth, horrified. It was big for you and you were normal sized. To him it was GIGANTIC. All he could do was mutter I'm disbelief:

"Neptune what were you thinking when you made THAT?"
