Like wtf wattpad you put ads every two seconds on stories but then they don't even fucking load?? Like wtf?? It literally makes me stop reading things bc I'm so annoyed with trying to get to a chapter later on but I can't bc the ad won't load.

Also I have to watch ads on MY OWN STORIES??  Literally doesn't make sense. Wattpad is profiting off me trying to read something that I wrote. That's whack bro. Like when I read through my fic, Waterfall, at least every other chapter of my 17 chapter fic had AN AD.

Also, like, I just wanna scroll though people's art books but I CANT bc I'm being stopped every other chapter. And like... I'm not paying a shit ton of money towards a membership like it's a whole scam fam. That shit isn't worth it I have college and shit to pay for.

Like... 6$ a month or 60$ for a whole year you can be ad free. Oh also you get colors and something w the whole coin bullshit.

I'm going to say it... This shit used to be free. Like... it used to all be free. Even when they first started having ads, it wasn't THIS bad. They're just trying to capitalize off other people's hard work. LITERALLY WHAT THE FUCK??? They're making MONEY off of MY WORK that I DONT GET PAID FOR. And I get "oh they're giving you a platform that you can share your stories with other people for free" bitch anyone can do that shit on tumblr or fanfiction.net or archiveofourown and get just as much exposure as a lot of writers on wattpad, maybe even more bc niche fics in a fandom on archive can be really easy to discover bc of the way the search engine works, unlike on wattpad.

Does wattpad deserve to profit off of my work? Not really. Are they? Yes. Is this going to make me stop posting on wattpad? No. I have shit to get done, I have stories I want to write and share. And that's why they're going to keep profiting off of me, which is shitty butttt I be like that I guess.

Yes there are people who do make money off of wattpad. However, there are a lot of people (me) who don't profit off of wattpad, but rather feed it revenue and get nothing but ads in return.

tl;dr : im annoyed that I get so many ads that don't even load
