Little Poppy was playing outside of Gia grooves' daycare center with a bunch of other young children. Her father king peppy had had a couple of things he had to do ( today he had a speech he had to give and some other kingly tasks he needed to do so he had dropped poppy off at gia grooves' daycare center). She giggled as she swung on the swings. Poppy loved the swings, to her it was like flying. As she swung on the swings she saw something out of the corner of her eyes. She stopped her swinging and looked up she gasped in fear, a large predatory bird was circling overhead and it looked hungry.

Gia grooves sprang into action. "Everyone hurry get inside the pod." She ordered.

Every troll ran just as the bird swooped down. In a panic poppy ran towards the forest with the bird following close behind her. She ran as fast as she could into the darkness of the forest. She didn't know where she was going but all she knew was that she needed to hide.

Just then she saw a a hollow log and ducked inside.

The bird tried to fit in but couldn't, upset it tried to lift the log but it was too big and heavy, frustrated the bird flew away, moody because it missed a chance to have a tasty troll for lunch.

As soon as the bird left poppy poked her head out and sighed with relief.

That had been way too scary for the 6 year old. Poppy took a deep breath and began to think if cupcakes and rainbows, the thoughts comforted her and calmed her down.

Now that the danger was over, it was safe to to return to the daycare. But wait which way was the daycare?

Poppy looked around. Uh oh was she lost?

Poppy took a deep breath and advanced but pretty soon it was clear that she was lost.

Poppy looked around and shivered feeling scared. "Hello? Is someone there? Gia grooves? Daddy? Somebody?"

Only silence answered the child. Tears flooded her eyes. She was lost. She was gonna be lost forever.

Tears began pouring down and she began to cry.

Just then a voice said.

"Be quiet. You are going to lead the bergens to us."

Poppy sniffled and wiped her eyes. She looked around.

"Who's there?"

There was silence

Poppy sat down and started to whimper

Finally there was the sound of a sigh and poppy saw a handkerchief being handed to her.

"Here just stop crying ok?" The troll said.

Poppy looked up and saw who the voice belonged to. It was a young troll but unlike other trolls she had met this troll...

Was Grey.

Poppy had never before met a Grey troll before.

She sniffled. "Thank you she said." Then she smiled. "My name is poppy." She said extending her hand to shake the trolls hand but the Grey troll didn't he stared at her without smiling.

Poppys hug time watch went off and she went to hug the troll who said.

"Don't hug me. I don't do hugs."

Poppy gasped hthis troll didn't hug? This was unheard of.

"What are you doing out here shouldn't you be with the other kids." The troll asked.

Poppy replied. "A bird chased me I tried to find my way back but I'm lost."

The troll shuddered. "I hate birds." He muttered just as he turned to leave poppy grabbed his hand.

"Wait please do you know how to get back to the village." Poppy begged

The troll nodded.

Poppy smiled "could you help me get back?"

"Ummm....nope."

Poppy was stunned. "But I gotta get back everyone's probably looking for me."

"Not my problem." The troll said as he started to walk away but out of the corner of his eye he saw poppy start to tear up and she began to cry.

"Alright fine I'll help you but you gotta be quiet got it?"

Poppy nodded

Before long the Grey troll had led poppy to the clearing where there was the village.

"Thank you!" Poppy exclaimed as she hugged the troll tightly. "You're my hero...."

The troll knew if he didn't reply he would get no peace.

"Branch. Now run along." He Said before he headed back to the forest.

Poppy smiled looking at Branch. "Thank you branch." She whispered and headed to the village where half the village was heading toward her.

"Poppy!" Peppy exclaimed as he ran to poppy and hugged her close. "I was so afraid I lost you. Don't you ever run off into the forest Luke that ever again."

"I won't daddy I promise. I'm sorry I got lost when a bird chased me. I was scared but a Grey troll named branch helped me."
