(My take on what could happen if Poppy and the player meet. Don't consider this canon. Purely written from my imagination.)

(Hope you enjoy.)

"You opened my case."

Breathless and enchanting. Softly spoken as a child, yet containing the adult tone of an adult who'd seen too much.

The human standing there gaping stupidly the unmoving toy. Trapped within the case unless moved and allowed to be activated into movement mode. Giving her the freedom to explore and see what has happened in her absence.

"I have been asleep for a long time. It is clear things have changed in the time I have been missing from this hellish factory."

Moving a small, small step, the ex-employee noticed the doll still wasn't attacking them. In fact, she seemed rather intrigued than bloodthirsty. Eyes travelling down their body and darting limb to limb before a sudden soft chuckle escaped Poppy's mouth as if told a funny joke. Not an expected course events, but not unwelcome. Maybe things would change. Maybe she could gain their trust. Save the souls of the toys trapped within the factory.

"A foolish move. But so very wise."

The doll is still within the case. She cannot move as Playtime Co made this vessel as an empty shell for the children. Needing help from the former employee.

"I will need your help to rescue their souls. They are so very tormented."

The former employee raised their brow, backing up with the grab pack toward the door. They weren't trying to escape. Not with the things still out there hunting them. Wishing to tear them limb from limb.

Just like Huggy.

They shivered, body quivering before grasping their common sense. They didn't know how Poppy worked. Looks were deceiving and Poppy may have something sinister planned. They decided to stick to a glare.

Poppy figured the meaning for their nervousness around the doors.

"I am sorry that Huggy intended to hurt you. He was sent him to bring you here. He lost control to his emotions."

Apologising for trying to them? That's...new. Exploring the facility allowed the human to see what exactly had gone on.

A massacre of sorts.

One more step in the right direction. Others planned to use for ex-employee for malicious, tactful reasons. Poppy's reasons weren't exactly virtuous. Better than the others thinking killing flesh and bones were than saving their lives.

"The factory needs your help. You will need my assistance if you wish to live. Bring me with you so we both may live. The factory had changed. The others trust me. They will show more mercy if I am with you."

Blinking in surprise, the ex-employee stepped closer. One more step in the right direction for Poppy's plan. She needed their trust and the certainty they'd help aid her in the plan she concocted. Willing or not, they'd help her save every lady soul. Their devotion, absolute compliance was necessary. Someone painted her out as the villain of the story.

Poppy would have to prove trustworthy.

"No one is here is a hero, but I've seen and heard things in this factory. Terrible things have happened here. Where do I even begin?"

Her little visitor panted as they literally just escaped Huggy and now dealing with this, even through they shouldn't have opened the case. Legitimate bullcrap. Too tired to even think through the consequences, they resumed their glaring and thoughtful train process written in their face.

Poppy's programmed allow her to see the emotions of children and comfort them. The same applied to adults without them realising the true purpose of her original programming.

Manipulation.

"You are exhausted. Rest after your little escapade."

Eyeing the employee (did they even have a name?) stepping close to her cage (never a case, always a cage-), their hand reached in and slowly took out the doll, closing their eyes for their inevitable demise. Nothing happened. Opening their eyes, they witness a motionless Poppy blinking as surprised as they were. Perhaps she expected someone to interfere their little moment of partnership.

"Will you help me?"

Poppy voice turned rather meek. Planning this as she went along, she had no idea why the ex-employee turned to the factory after they escaped. Coming back to the hell you escaped from? What were they thinking?

Analysing the doll, the human examined their eyes and emotions. Genuine concern through the face of Poppy Playtime stared into their own exhausted eyes. A doll unable to mask their voice, unable to express their content or anger used their time and words as tact as a soothing way of getting them to trust her and only her.

A dangerous enemy if anything.

Do not betray me.

Not trusting Poppy so soon, they restrained the doll in one arm. Their other worked the buttons on the grab packs, grabbing the bookshelf and moving it to the side, revealing a door behind its contents.

Just like in the movies.

Poppy's eyes shifted in place to look around after her sudden freedom. The place hadn't changed a bit. Her room remained the same after the massacre of all the employees.

Creak. Creak. Creak.

Little footsteps echoed their way through the vents of Poppy's personal room. Growls of anger and despair rang through the vents' exits as the minis realised they lost own of their own. The littler Huggies, the laying the on the floor harmless were perhaps some of the most dangerous toys in the entire factory. Silently talking their prey before attacking in the name of fun or vengeance if you managed to strike beforehand.

They struck when you least expected.

"Run if you want to live."

Looking confused, the employee glanced back and to their credit, didn't start screaming as the Huggies poured out the bent entrances. A dramatic entrance for them. Slowly standing into an attack position, they struck their still standing prey as they began running for their lives.

"Escape through the stairs."

Shrieks of agony and rage began echoing throughout the facility as Poppy's carrier  ran toward the door and opened it by the handle, narrowly avoiding a swipe of a green Huggy's hand. They were larger than Poppy calculated. She stayed them in her sight as they were away from them enough to feel somewhat safe. The ex-employee escaped into the darkness. Barely able to make any shapes nor sizes as they were helpless and blind to the shadows.

Lights. They needed light.

The Huggies charged at the human carrying the Poppy doll. Sentience clear in her gaze as she glanced them frightened and confused. Planning this as she went along, Poppy observed the Huggies for any weakness. Climbing in the pipes, wall, vents. On a low level-

"A low level."

She spotted a particular pink version of Huggy leading the charge against the human stealing the property of their other master. One of the originals controlling mindless drones of their own will. Obeying a carnage queen wishing for Poppy back in her case safe and safe without able to interfere the plans she held for the human.

"Kissy was always the children's favourite."

As they stopped at the bottom, the ex-employee panted and frantically looked around for any resources available. As they were panicking, Poppy spotted an object not far without reaching distance.

"Grab the hand. It will grapple. Use the extra black button to extend its grip. It will work as intended."

The ex-employee grabbed the hand, replaced the red hand and looked at the ceiling. Shoulder shaking as if working out the chances of their if they failed. Poppy managed a hand in their shoulder and whispered softly in their ears.

"Conquer your fear. Do you wish to die?"

Managing to gaze back at the Huggies chasing them, the human placed Poppy in their back, focusing their attention in the hand whilst she focused on the incoming swarm of Huggy's from the vents.

Come to me, Poppy.

Her voice connected to her head through the tethering of the originals. Softly spoken and alurring enough she had no choice but to let her in. Regretting the decision immediately as this particular toy was known for being far stronger and faster than Poppy could ever hope to achieve.

I will stop you.

Wishes don't come true, sweetie.

Where are you?

Watching your every move, darling daughter. Or should I say the spirit in you?

Closing the connection, Poppy's dainty hands clung to the ex-employee's shirt, finding a seat in the grabpack between the hands enough she wouldn't get in the way if their function were needed. The human managed to attach the black hand in the place of the red. Firing the hand to the ceiling, it attached to a nearby fan on the top, starting to pull the two of them up the stairs faster than the Huggies crawling.

"We need to be faster. They are coming for you. Everything is coming for you. You are perfect."

They landed on the platform safely. Pulling Poppy out her newfound space, the ex-employee examined her for any scratches or injuries during their little run from the murderous Huggies wanting vengeance for the death of their master and the kidnapping of another within the human's grasp. The source of their rage coming from the one controlling the upper level levels of the facility.

"Too perfect to lose."

Rushing through the empty halls of the facility, the human carrying Poppy stumbled to an empty spot, placing her in the without taking their eyes of her stilled form as a doll. Unable to move or express emotion.

"I am not dangerous. No harm will come to with me. The others are angry thinking you're one of them."

The ex-employee blinked, then sighed in silent questioning. Giving Poppy a confused expression as she calculated what exactly they wanted answered in their supposed barrage of questions destined to want the answers to depending on the area of expertise. She only knew a certain extent of the facility, it was left to anyone else if they wanted to answer their concerns.

"You will need to trust me. I don't hold all of the answers. My dormant has lasted many years and my mind is foggy at best. Perhaps if we travel on then my memory will resurface."

The human picked up Poppy, held her in their arm and started traversing the corridor again for the second time. In a new area, walking aimless seemed the best option for the moment. Even Poppy looked confused at the level's outlayer.

"Why do I not remember?"

Exmaning their surroundings, the human's hand travelled along the wall to get a better direction. Poppy watched in interest as they led to a dead end, then turned the opposite way leading them down a better looking way out of this level. Heading in the chosen direction, Poppy copied the gesture her newfound saviour used and marvelled at its simple art.

"Your human ways are intriguing."

As Poppy added that extra dialogue, a limb briefly speeded in the darkness upto the upper levels of the clerking containing holes an vents the human couldn't possibly see through their limited vision. Squinting her eyes much as possible, Poppy spotted that hand grasping prey before snatching it into the darkness. It's hand slowly slid down the tunnel before-

"Watch the vents."

The human dodged the lunging hand just time time for a growl of an angered to ring in their ears before retreating in its temporary defeat. Poppy thought it could've been Kissy attempting a much close assault, then she emerged another certain traversing the ceiling who once frightened the kids containing the fear known as arachnophobia. The fears of spiders and other insects associated.

"It is wise to continue before she realises you are where you started."

Shaken from that experience, the human walked forward once more. Reveling her resolve, Poppy tried comforting the ex-employee with a few pats to the back, but with limited movements, she was unable to do nothing more than reach their shoulder squeeze it gently. They relaxed under her touch and she would've smiled if she retained the ability. Unfortunately, her creators weren't fond of emotions. Wishing instead their weapons remained compliant with their killer instincts inbred from the experiments.

"Keep moving and be vigilant. You don't know what is lurking within these halls."

Poppy's saviour placed her in their back and started their journey forward. As they were walking, Poppy was buried in her thoughts and foggy memories to talk to the human, leaving them to fend for themselves for a little while. She needed her kind to assist with the plan her past self put together and stored for the future.

"Don't worry, we are safe for now."

Excitement and adrenaline coursed through the veins of Poppy Playtime. Metaphorically to someone trapped within the vessel or a doll keeping the soul of a human alive and kicking. Poppy couldn't remember what her host used to be called. Did she ever have a name? After forgetting her previous life, she adapted the name of the toy they installed her in.

Poppy Playtime.

BANG. BANG. BANG.

Those limbs appeared in Poppy's vision as she made her eyes dart in every direction. Spotting the things the human wasn't capable, a hand and an evil smile came into view. Poppy instantly knew this character, planning the escape route instantly. A few halls and a grapple should do it. She couldn't make it to the underground without dodging the pipes lurking there in her way.

"We need to leave."

As if understanding the silent message, the ex-employee suddenly sprinted through the halls of the upper lower levels. Dodging the limbs and incoming toys purposefully getting in their way to risk tripping and swiping Poppy off their back. A door was there and looked awfully convenient...

The human grabbed the door and swung it open. Effectively falling through a height trap as were submerged through a pit and landing on their stomach. Shielding Poppy from any harm. A fragile doll indeed.

"Get up. We are safe now."

Using the black hand, Poppy's carrier swung them to the other side of the the giant hole. Poppy looked up toward the upper level, briefly meeting eyes of another creature lurking in the darkness. Planning another escape, they'd need to settle for wandering to a place familiar to Poppy and she could help them out a tight spot.

Their focus for the moment was their safety.

As they started traversing this new area, Poppy added a tidbit in a frightened voice which would become relevant later in their journey.

"Mommy doesn't like guests."
