"Stay away from them Scott."

"Xornoth, why?" The teal haired boy asked.

"They're- Just don't," Scott's purple-magenta haired brother said.

"But why?!"

"Stop asking questions!"

"I-" Scott huffed and glared at his older brother with cyan colored eyes.

"I just mean the best for you," Xornoth said.

Scott stared into Xornoth's magenta eyes and scowled. "You're so fond of Joey. So why can't I hang out with Jimmy and Katherine?"

"They're our enemies."

"They're our ALLIES!"

"They're going to turn on us when we least expect it." Scott was unsure on how to respond to this, so instead, he just stormed away from his brother.

. . .

Scott climbed the stairs to the bedroom that he and Xornoth shared, snatched his book off his bottom bunk and laid out on his double bed. Oh, who is he kidding? He was in too much of a sour mood to read!

Scott closed the book and sat up. That was when he noticed something glistening on Xornoth's bookshelf. The brothers had separate bookshelves and swore to never take anything from the other's without permission. But this. This...

The 13-year old picked up the object. It was a small crystal of some sort. There was a band attached. The crystal felt warm and had a certain aura to it. Something felt...wrong.

Scott sat on his bed and inspected the red object. It seemed to have a darker center. But what was it?

The Scottish boy heard footsteps coming up the stairs. Scott panicked and shoved the crystal into his pocket before opening his book to a random page and pretending to read.

Xornoth walked over to his shelf and seemed to be looking for something.

"Scott."

"What?" Scott tried his best to sound pissed off.

"Did you see a little red thing here?"

"No."

Xornoth eyed his younger brother suspiciously. Scott glanced up.

"What?!" Scott spat.

"Did you take it?"

Scott stood up. "No! Why are you accusing me?!" Scott threw his book down onto the bed and stormed out. The Scottish sighed once he was outside. He gently stretched his wings before taking off to meet Katherine and Jimmy. The two were probably hanging out. The three spent nearly every minute with each other.

"Hey guys!" Scott landed gracefully in Katherine's flower garden.

"Hey!!" Katherine said, smiling.

"Scott!" Jimmy hugged his friend, tightly.

"Hello to you too Jimmy!" Scott said, laughing.

"I have something for you!" Jimmy said.

"What is it, Cod Boy?" Scott said, snickering slightly. Katherine bit her upper lip to try to suppress her laughter but failed miserably?

"Haha, very funny," Jimmy said, bitterly. His voice then changed back to its enthusiastic self. "I got you a flower! I know how much you love them! I was going to come by and give it to you but since you're here now..." Jimmy handed Scott a vivid red Poppy flower.

"Pretty," Scott whispered softly.

"Yea! And Jimmy even asked Gem to do a little spell on it to make it last a bit longer," Katherine said. "Simp," she muttered under her breath.

Jimmy's face went pink. "I AM NOT-"

"Are too!"

"NOT!"

"Too!"

"NOT!"

"Um-" Scott interrupted the, possibly endless, argument. "I also found something that I wanna show you guys."

"What is it?" Jimmy asked.

Scott took out the small crystal which was now a mix of purple and red. "That's strange," Scott said. "It was redder before."

"Let's take it to Gem," Katherine suggested.

"No! I mean- It's actually Xornoth's. I don't know how he got it but I don't want him finding out I took it. He already told me to not talk to you guys anymore..."

"What?!" Jimmy exclaimed.

"We won't tell," Katherine said.

"Promise?"

"Promise," Jimmy said.

. . .

Scott laid in bed, staring at the piece of jewelry. It seemed to even glisten in the dark. Now it was purple with a hint of blue. There was still something inside that was dark red.

The cyan haired boy shoved the crystal under his pillow before falling asleep.

But what Scott didn't know...Was that taking the crystal might've very well indeed saved his brother...

. . .

Early the next morning, Xornoth woke up to find that his brother was missing.

Well, it was nothing out of the ordinary for Scott to wake up first, but he would be reading his book, waiting for Xornoth to wake. Maybe he was just still sour from yesterday.

"Hey dad, did you see Scott?" Xornoth asked when he got downstairs, dressed and ready for the day.

"No. I think he and your mother probably went to the secret room."

"Thanks," Xornoth said, grabbing a cookie on the way out.

Xornoth walked down the village path to the stone wall here the Rivendell symbol was engraved with cobblestone. He flipped the lever only to be greeted by a burst of cold air.

"Scott? Mum?" Xornoth walked through the tunnel to see that the meeting room was covered in ice, snow and frost. "Wha-"

Then he saw the most horrifying sight. A large, blue icicle was piercing right through his mother. And standing in front of her...Was Scott.

Xornoth stared in horror and only collected himself when Scott spoke.

"You won't tell anyone of this won't you dear brother?"

Xornoth immediately ran. He ran straight to the castle where his father was coming out of.

"Dad!"

"Xornoth? Is there something wrong?"

"Scott- He-" Xornoth gasped for air from running.

"What about Scott?"

"He- He killed Mum!"

"Wha-"

"Xornoth! You said you wouldn't tell!"

"Scott..." His father stared in disbelief at his son.

Before either Xornoth or their father could react, an icicle pierced right through his stomach and out his back. The blood trickled down the ice, dying it red. A dark red...

Xornoth knew that he was next and immediately spread his wings and flew towards spawn.

"XORNOTH!" Scott knew what his brother was doing.

. . .

Xornoth landed right outside a little hut near spawn and ran in. He kicked open a trap door and climbed down the ladder to the bottom.

Down there, was a button and a lectern. Xornoth ran to the lectern and picked up the quill. He quickly skimmed over the text.

The button is a rest button. Once it's pushed, there's no going back. Once the button is pressed, the future heirs will be old enough to rule the empires themselves.

But the world will be reset and the button will no longer be here. The empires will also be gone. Their gods will guide them through. They will have to rebuild their kingdoms and start again. Be smart. Don't push it unless necessary.

For this to work, you must banish one person to another world.

Once the button is pressed, the heirs will have no memory of the banished one. They will be the only one that remembers everything. The banished one will not be able to come back unless someone from their world comes into this world. A living host.

When the time comes, some emperors will regain their memories of the banished one. But only when the time comes...

Be careful. And be specific. Don't mess up.

Current Heirs and their titles (Some heirs will have two or more kingdoms. Some kingdoms will have multiple heirs):
Rivendell: Xornoth Tycer Major (Xornoth of Rivendell) (First in line), Scott Dangthatsalongname Major (Scott of Rivendell) (Second in line)
The Ocean Empire: Elizabeth 'Lizzie' Shadow Delaqua (Queen Lizzie)
The Cod Empire: Jimmy Solidarity Delaqua (The Codfather)
The Grimlands: fWhip Counter Tay (Count fWhip)
Crystal Cliffs: Gemini Anna Tay (Wizard Gem)

The Lost Empire: Joey Lost Graceffa (Emperor Joey)

House Blossom: Katherine Tulip Elizabeth (Lady Katherine)
Mythland: Sausage Myth Mythical (Lord Sausage)
Gilded Helianthia: Pearl Escent Moon (Farmer Pearl)
Pixandria: Pixl Oxidized Riffs (The Copper King)
Kingdom of Mezalea: Joel Smallish Beans (King Joel)

Now who would you like to banish?

Xornoth hastily wrote "Scott Dangthatsalongname Major".

"Xornoth!" Xornoth, ignoring his brother, reached for the button.

"NO!"

And just like that, the heirs woke up in a circle at spawn. But no longer were they young. May their gods lead them wherever their fate goes.

And god knows where...Scott was absolutely enraged. The crystal that hung from a choker around his neck glistened.
