"Have you gotten changed?" Urokodaki asked the trio stoically a vacant expression hidden beneath his kabuki mask, "Yes," they replied simultaneously curtly nodding their heads the elderly man studied them adorned in their new suits, he nodded his head humming approvingly.

(Y/n) pulled down her skirt that barely reached mid-thigh her lips pressed a discontent frown, "could they make this any shorter?" She muttered sarcastically grinding her teeth in annoyance, a warm hand grasping her shoulder giving it a reassuring squeeze, "You look beautiful." Tanjiro said offering her a warm smile he took her hands in his holding her hands in his firm grasp.

A soft blush dusted her cheeks as they locked eyes, his warm burgundy eyes stared deeply into her (e/c) orbs, the corners of her lips twitched upwards forming a sweet smile, "This whole situation is so cheesy I can taste it." Koji muttered a lazy yawn escaped his mouth.

Urokodaki let out a strained sigh, his chapped lips pressed into a brittle scowl "let the children be Koji." He muttered, the raven-haired boy perked up as he heard rustling Nezuko hid in the doorway beneath the covers of a warm blanket, "What are we gonna do with Nezuko?" He asked placing a hand on his hip.

"Children." Urokodaki spoke in a raspy voice drawing the attention of the trio they watched as the lanky elderly man straightened his back, "Now that you're starting out with the demon slayer corps, I'd like to explain a few things to you," he paused momentarily as if he was contemplating what he'd say next, the trio exchanged uncertain glances their eyebrows furrowed.

"Those demon slayer uniforms you're wearing right now it's made of a special kind of fibre, the fabric is quite breathable yet it repels moisture and won't burn easily." He explained in a low voice a stoic expression on his face "a low-level demon's talons or fangs couldn't even manage to tear through that uniform," (y/n) looked down grabbing a handful of the fabric.

"It's that strong," tanjiro said barely above a whisper a look of awe on his childlike face, "good to know if we die our uniforms will still be intact," Koji said under his breath sarcastically a dull expression on his face, "also," Urokodaki said ignoring the raven-haired boys remark "those nichirin swords you have, the colour varies from owner to owner and each hue has unique properties." (Y/n) picked her blade up in her delicate hands examining it.

She pondered for a moment what the moonstone shade of white said about her
Urokodaki turned to her reading the curious expression on her face, "White is a rare colour I have only seen one other with this particular colour," her brows furrowed in confusion as their eyes locked she could feel his cold stare through his kabuki mask, "Lady (L/n) your grandmother, she was a hashira like many in your family before her."

He paused examining the blade in her hands "your family is infamous among demons and slayers so be weary." He warned her, "I'm sure your grandmother warned you but I feel that I should too," a moment of silence fell in the room tension growing with every passing second, "it's common knowledge your demon blood allows you harness the strength and speed of a demon but...."

The tension grew thicker almost smothering (y/n) she grasped her sword her knuckles turning wide, "it also allows you to absorb a demon's ability by tasting their blood," Tanjiro studied her through wide eyes he noticed how frail she seemed in the moment "but this ability comes at a price the more you use your demon blood the harder you have to try and hold on to your sanity," the burgundy haired boys nails dug his nails into his knees.

"That won't happen," he said a look of determination on his face Koji and (y/n) looked at him mouth agape, "I won't let her use her ability everyone talks as if she's cursed but all my life I've known her," he paused his head hanging low, "I have loved her I know who she is and I know she's strong, she'll never succumb to the tragedies those before her did,"

(Y/n) jumped into the boy's arms pulling him into a warm embrace, her (e/c) eyes brimming with tears, "I love you too." She whispered burying her flushed face in his neck clinging to him, Nezuko perked up her pink hues widening as she watched the display the frail demon crawled from under the covers,

Holding her arms out like a small child a giddy expression on her face as she pulled the two into a warm bear hug, (y/n) let out a hearty laugh petting the girls head affectionately kissing the top of her head Tanjiro smiled warmly pulling the two girls into his strong arms, "we love you too Nezuko," he said beaming happily.

They screamed in surprise as they were lifted off the ground by a pair of strong masculine arms, "let me get in here," Koji laughed squeezing the three in his arms making them squirm, Urokodaki sighed a small smile hidden under his mask as he watched the display the older boy clung to the three grinning ear to ear, I think they'll be alright as long as they have each other the elderly man thought to himself crossing his arms over his chest,

"Don't forget to write," Urokodaki said placing a coarse hand on top of Tanjiros head ruffling his burgundy locks, "I will," the elderly man shifted on his feet uncomfortably "I implore you to remember our earlier discussion regarding...protection." He said fixing the boys collar,

The burgundy boy's face flushed a dark red, he bowed his head respectfully, "Yes, sir!" Tanjiro responded, his face scrunched up in embarrassment, Oi tanjiro, you ready?" Koji called tapping his foot impatiently, his arms crossed over his chest, "how are you doing in there Nezuko?" (Y/n) cooed tapping the box gently that was carried on the older boys back,

"Coming!" Tanjiro called sprinting towards the two, a child-like grin spreading across his face, "Goodbye Mr Urokodaki!" Koji and (y/n) said simultaneously as the trio waved goodbye warm smiles on their faces Urokodaki let out a low sigh as they faded into the distance a heavy heart as he entered the quiet hut that seemed so empty,

The trio walked in silence trailing off in their own thoughts, Tanjiro quietly fiddled with his mother's engagement ring in his pocket pondering how he would propose to (y/n) his burgundy eyes glued to the floor, Koji rested his head back in his hands carrying the small box on his back,

He noticed (y/n) walking in the distance her fingers carefully flipping through the pages of an untitled novel, curiosity peaked and he walked up behind her carefully plucking the book out of her hand, "you have been glued to this book for two days how good can it be?" He asked, cocking an eyebrow, "Koji give it back!"

(Y/n) cried out in embarrassment trying to grab the book from the raven-haired boy's strong grasp, she whined as he held it out of reach the corners of his lips twitching into a devious smirk, "oh (nickname) isn't this a little advanced for your age?" He teased flipping through the pages of the romance erotica "I wonder what tanjiro would think," he teased

Her (e/c) orbs widened in horror as she watched the raven-haired boy run over Tanjiro she cursed under her breath as she ran after him, "Hey tanjiro!" He said grabbing the boy's shoulder lightly, shoving the book into his hands "look at this," (y/n) tried to reach for the book, her face flushed a dark shade of red, "don't it's nothing!" She screamed as the older boy held her back,

Tanjiro looked at the two his brows furrowed together as he watched the two struggle a Cheshire like grin on Kojis face, he glanced down at the book flipping through the middle his curious expression turned into a look of embarrassment, "is this smut!" He cried surprised a dark blush dusting his cheeks as he slammed the book close,

"I only read them for the plot!" (Y/n) said defensively grabbing the book from his hands and hugging it to her chest, Koji bellowed out in loud heart laughter holding his stomach in his hands "that's what they all say!" He cried out in laughter, Tanjiro and (y/n) looked at each other bashfully "S-so do you like guys like that?" Tanjiro stuttered poking his fingers together

He thought about the sexy, confident and roguish protagonist that has stolen her attention for two days a hint of jealousy, "I-I mean in novels, yeah but when I'm with you I forget all about them," she replied shyly staring at her feet Tanjiro felt his cheeks burn as he glanced at her a small smile crept along his lips,

(Y/n) perked up as she felt a warm hand slide into hers intertwining their fingers. Tanjiro smiled warmly, kissing her cheek affectionately, "I love you so much tanjiro marry me already please!" Koji said in a high pitched feminine voice sticking his head between the two, puckering his lips as he made kissy faces (y/n) laughed playfully pushing him away gently,

"Alright love birds, we have a mission ahead of us," Koji said in a serious tone as he stared off into the distance of the road that cut through the rice patch,
